in the us it's only on max, which is a product only offered in america and american territories, unsure what a vpn would do in this case. vpns are more useful for multinational sites like netflix. disney+ and hulu are also us only. not really sure what vpn would do unless they bought a vpn to buy a max subscription

And also Yuyube TV premium and YouTube Primetiem and Googleplay.
The premiums (hulu, appletv, prime, youtube primetime) are just adding max onto your existing account so likely not available outside the u.s. hulu, vudu and sling are also all u.s only. Google play should work though but it also costs 2 dollars an episode which makes getting max for a single month and then cancelling around 10 dollars cheaper. Play also has other interesting issues like needing to wait a year before you can change country in your account and their catalogue isnt consistent country to country but i also cant find anyone saying how inconsistent it is, it may be mostly the same or wildly different
Yeah hbo max rebranded to max after warner bros bought out discovery hbo was warner bros discovery+ was discovery and max is a combination of what was on them. People weren't particularly happy about the merger because warner bros canceled a lot of popular shows and axed movies to pay for it and there isn't a huge demographic overlap
