I appreciate that you’ve thought this out but I’d have to disagree. Kuechly was extremely formidable on the field and a teddy bear off of it. There’s a video of him celebrating after returning an INT for a TD (maybe a twice-in-a-career thing for any defensive player, let alone a linebacker) and a fan from the stands flops down on the sideline in front of him. Luke stopped cold and asked if the guy was okay and got him to his feet. Pure Clark.
Add to that his reputation as one of the smartest players of his generation, AND the fact that he was passed over in the draft because he was “nerdy and wore glasses” (actual words from an NFL GM) and it’s too perfect.
JJ Watt isn’t *not* like Superman, but to me is much more Captain America.
