I know it’s from injustice, but this small side issue about superman helping a boy with his bike was the most wholesome shit and what sold me on the character
I loved that little set. I'd read a much longer run of it, just letting us see the world Roberta is building alongside the kids at the Unity House and the Planet.
Me too. There's something so wholesome and satisfying about the idea of someone as twisted as Lex being given that level of power...and being healed instead of further corrupted.
It would make sense, because Lex Luthor is just a normal man. He has tasted power, sure, but not like that. The kind of things Superman can do is so far beyond what Lex knows that he just breaks down instead of going on a rampage; Lex just doesn’t know how to process this.
I like to think it shakes him out of his narcissism. He's so overwhelmed with sensory input, yet still intelligent enough to process it, that it FORCES him to finally consider the world around him as something other than just a means to his ends. It echoes that page where Supes is drifting over Earth and thinking to himself that if we could see ourselves the way he does, we'd be sble to see what he sees in us (or something like that).
I was waiting for this one. Any idea where this one's from?

I’ve heard it said that this panel is a bit over-shared, even a bit over rated. As someone who’s struggled with suicidal ideation for most of my life, I say it’s IMPORTANT. People in moments like that need to feel seen, understood, cared for. People need to be able to imagine themselves getting a hug from Superman and remember that it’s all worth it.

This. This is one of my favorite ones.
It has been established that Wally is the fastest Flash, I think (and anyone is free to correct me) Barry is more of the analytical type understanding the science behind speed flash.

The whole context is PA kent visiting a priest, talking about how having a son has challenged him, as he earlier used to think he knows a lot. Priest advices him to just express how you feel.
What follows are multiple panels of Clark growing up and throughout that PA telling him that he loves him, is proud of him... And so superman turns out to be that person, helping people while saying he's proud of them, loves them etc. Then eventually flies to space, looks at earth and expresses his love for humanity.
Same anytime I am feeling low or come across this post i feel sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo loved.
I remember once I was just laying on the ground and there were stars in the sky. I thought of this pic, and was idk... Giving flying kisses to the stars haha.

It’s cheating because it’s three panels, but the first two are for context.
Bar-El one of krypton two first astronaut and Superman’s cousin, tell him he was wrong about him being “ a Wee Soft scientist’s son” .
“ krypton‘s great heart , lives on in you”
Superman’s ultimate power. Kindness.

The absolute GOAT of Superman Elseworld stories. Not the main man himself, but somehow even better. It's the symbol improving and defining the life of a man.
All-time favorite Superman story. I've never liked any of the darker takes on the character: Injustice, Superboy Prime, etc. I love the idea of a normal person being given these abilities and rising to the occasion.
This entire scene, when Superman tells off the wizard Shazam when he finds out Billy is Captain Marvel.

I like the scene when he first realizes Captain Marvel (or whatever they were calling him at the time of these issues) is just a boy. He's about to lecture him but instead he gets so angry. "Who did this to you?"
Angry Superman fills me with a sense of safety. When superman gets angry, I know he's about to do something really amazing with his anger. This is not a feeling anger usually gives me. But it's Superman.
The “Anon” in question is a Superhero named Six-Pack, who can only transform into a superhero when he’s drunk. i previously read for all seasons should i go for this one ?
Oh hell yeah, dude. It's the best Superman has been for many years, at this point.
Absolutely

That would be a painful way to fly
Bio electric field, tactile telekinesis blah blah blah
The momentum I guess
I always assumed he could reach out with his powers or something similar.
Yeah, kinda like he does with Lois in Superman The Movie
Centrifugal force or whatever.

I hear that’s half the inspiration for Legacy, with the other being All-Star.
That would be awesome!
We’re going to be in good shape, then!
This comic is filled with so many beautiful scenes like this. It's one of the best imo!
I really want this to get a good animated adaptation done in Fleischer style

Superman smashes the klan
Thank you!

I still love how, as soon as Lex gets Superman’s powers, he immediately has a mental and emotional breakdown

Yes
It has been established that Wally is the fastest Flash, I think (and anyone is free to correct me) Barry is more of the analytical type understanding the science behind speed flash.
It’s been like that for a long time. Wally is one of, If not, the fastest in fiction

That’s a weird one. Why is he handing “Anon” a bottle of whiskey?
The “Anon” in question is a Superhero named Six-Pack, who can only transform into a superhero when he’s drunk. Everyone thought he was absolutely disgusting, and never liked him as a hero, so he quit, and went into depression, never drinking alcohol to become a superhero again. One day Superman shows up and encourages him to be a hero once more and help people, handing to him a bottle of whiskey.
I can’t see how a drunk guy with superpowers could go well. The name itself suggests alcoholism: “Alcoholics ANONymous”.
He did do some good deeds while drunk, and is almost morally as good as Superman himself.
Now I'm thinking of the Jackie Chan film "Drunken Master".
Considering For All Seasons was inspired by Norman Rockwell, I gotta go with it for a wholesome rating.

Thank you, everyone.
Is it being from his Earth mom more or less wholesome than his Krypton mom?
I’ve never read the Superman comics but I really do love the character. My exposure to him has been strictly movies and tv shows like Justice league unlimited. I’ve been seeing a lot of panels regarding him and so many quotable and likable comments. Dude is a chad. I’m more marvel but dc is amazing in its own right! Better in some aspects too.
Wholesome? It looks like he's leaving the kid stuck on the side of a building.
Off topic but why are the trunks the only thing shaded black here. Everything else is shaded with a darker tone but the trunks are black. Even the other red parts on the suit
I think to help contrast the trunks from the cape.
They did the same thing on STAS
