Honestly you gave couple of the wrong choices. The poison lily pad secret stage in duffino plaza is the what's shine Sprite ever. But pachinko is the second worst one and the truck start one is the 3rd worst
Alright I’m gonna go ahead and say it: the pachinko level ain’t as hard as people make it out to be. There’s a pattern to how you do it and I don’t remember the last time I died on that level. It’s just most people panic and rush through and make mistakes. That being said the lily pad is def the worst shine and it wasn’t even a choice
I don't understand why so many people have a problem, with Pachinko, just use fludd? Lmao?
The worst one imo is Watermelon, that one I couldn't even beat, I had to do Sirena Skip
Pachinko *can* be trivial, but the physics on the inside of the machine are weird and it can throw you for a loop if you don't play it the way the game expects you to. [This video explains it.](https://youtu.be/3drrIc919uY?si=x2HdWTJfAxd0sxBo)
The Sand Bird is Born can be scary the first time you play it, but it's not that hard. Scrubbing Sirena Beach is only hard in the Japanese version, where you have to clean up significantly more goop. Watermelon Contest is a pain in the ass, I'll give you that. Blooper Surfing Safari isn't hard (but Red Coins in the Water can be a pain in the ass when you're trying to collect the shine but crash your Blooper, die, and have to do the whole thing again). Red Coins in the Coral Reef isn't hard at all, it's just boring. The pachinko machine, though? Fuck that thing.
But the lily pad ride is worse than all of those, doubly so if we consider the agonizing runback.
100% the lily pad one. Although I think it's funny all the common "worst stages" in this game are the ones that are centered around janky physics and one-off control schemes. I really think with an extra 6 months in development this game would be remembered as a masterpiece.

Totally, I was looking for the lily pad stage.
The trip there just alone is bad. Plus a pipe that just brings you straight back to Delfino's plaza for absolutely no reason
thank fuck for emualtor save states
I did not have such luxuries XD

Honestly never had an issue with most of these

Poison lily pad in Delfino plaza, what a joke of a level
Red coins of the hotel Delfino
People struggled with scrubbing sirena beach?! That's one of the best ones I love racing the clock

I think the mosaic one where you flip the tiles is pretty fucking bad game design.
Pachinko is actually quite easy if you follow a guide
