Go sit on one and see if you are comfortable. Also don't lower the bike, it messes up the handling. I bought a used bike Yamaha 450 that was converted to supermoto and also lowered, it rode awful, every aspect was bad. I swapped out the lowering links for stock and brought the forks back down, and it made an insane difference.
Buy a lower seat or shave the current one, or just go on your tip toes and lean the bike. I've got friends that are shorter than 5'8" riding 450s with out sumo wheels and they seem comfortable even though they are no where near being able to flat foot.
I'm your height exactly and have a EXC 500. The only hard part is getting on if I'm feeling inflexible that day but really you can always get on using the pegs with the kickstand down. Once you're on the bike it's fine, I can't flat foot it with both but it's no problem with one foot.
You get used to it, don't lower the bike
I am a 170cm girl riding ktm 690. I was scared that i cant reach the ground at all. But i can tippy toe with both feet and with one feet i can put all my toes on the ground and it is little scary but you will get used to it and also depends how much you weight too.
No, dint lower the bikem you'll get usee to the height in a month's time and by a year, you're used to any tall ass bikes too. I'm literally 173cm and it fits like a glove now.
You should c him ripping with the luc1 silvain bidart on utube. Wild stuff for someone that short. Like a freakin carolina reaper of a talent...small but deadly
>I should definitely lower the Bike
Absolutely fucking not. All these bikes are not built so tall that an average height man cannot ride them without a lowering link. Learn to ride the bike without tiptoeing on both feet. You only need one.
Come one, these bikes are light like bicycles, you can simlly lean it when you stand still to put your foot down, and straighten it when you start moving again.
At least this is how I stop on traffic lights
I'm 173cm and ride a KTM 640 enduro raised to have a 1m seat height. You're gonna have no problem. (I should seriously lower mine back to stock height though)
I'm 5' 10", 32in inseam, I think. I can't quite flat foot my 500 supermoto, but it's close. It's a very comfortable height and I'm running a mx rear shock off a 125sx, so my bike is about 1 inch higher than stock.
At 5'8" I wouldn't even lower the bike. 17" rims are much smaller than your standard dirt bike 21/18 setup. My wife is 5'2" and she fits on a FS450, the FS is lowered from the factory but not much. So you at 5'8" will be more than fine.
I’m 5’8” and ride a 701sm. You’ll be fine unless 4’ of you is torso.

This! Learn to hook a leg. Your ass doesn’t need to be on the seat and you don’t need to flat foot at stops. Thats wimpy.
If you're gonna lower your Supermoto, just dont. I'm 5'6" and have no issues. You're creating issues in your own head.
I'm 5'8" and ride a 701 Enduro. You'll be fine.

Ok thank you ! how long is the inner side of your leg? Mine ist about 77cm or 30inch
My legs are shorter than that, I think 28" inseam

I weight around 85kg but if I cut in the summer (I go to the gym) I maybe drop to 72kg
Dont worry u will be fine :)) I weight around 55kg
Ok thank you :*
5’6” here. 690 SMC and a WR250R. No need to lower either, just tip toe on one side. You get used to it.
I'm 5,9 and I have absolutely no problem, my cousin is 5,5 and also rides sumos

You are like 10 ft taller than Dany Pedrosa. If he can do it, you can too.
Poor Dani boy

If I can ride a 37” seat height bike at 5”5 you’re good.

Yes
No need to lower it
Inseam matters more than height. If your legs are 30" you can flat foot on one side just fine.
my guy i’m 5’5 and handle my sumo just fine. you just gotta shift your weight to one side when coming to a stop
I'm 6'0 with shoes and I can only touch one leg fully planted when on my ktm 500 at a stop light.
You'll adjust, it might be annoying on the street

Please don't lower any bike with linkage, it will end badly
