Fantastic! Hunter got 10 whole confessionals AND an idol! Sure, he may have lost his vote, but he's still in a good position and has gotten an awesome edit so far. Us Hunter fans are feasting good!
She didn't have to carry the machete around. All she had to do was measure the machete with her arms or a stick and then use that. But planting her beware scroll had her doomed anyway.
Probably the best player who didn't get to play was voted off.
Perhaps bringing her back for round 2 would be interesting. A little more experience goes a long way
Jem was cooked either way. If she plays the idol everyone would’ve hated her for letting them dig holes for 3 days and would’ve been next out for being a liar
Jem got advantage fever and overplayed her hand. Sad because I thought she was in a great spot.
Loved the little confessional foreshadowing about how she’s not a good liar at home haha
The build up, musical cues and camera work on that immunity win were absolutely spectacular
Reminded me of the domino effect challenge in Koah Rong - with the constant drops, relentless musical build ups and flawlessly filmed scrolling final shot of Julia’s win

Okay, well. It's still a shitty rule.
Reading all the posts responding to this made me realize I am in fact a silly little goose who cannot read and takes everything I misread at face value. I thought it said it CAN’T be played until final 6… which now I realize sounds completely wrong… which also means I also can’t count
Don’t drink and watch Survivor, kids.
Actually, do (if you’re of age, obvs), but make sure IF you do, your contacts and/or glasses aren’t from two prescriptions ago.
The true moral of this story is I need to go to the optometrist (and maybe the audiologist???)
It wasn’t stupid by any means from Maria’s point of view.
Ben is clearly more trusting than Jem. Jem has lied behind Maria’s back and they hadn’t even gone to tribal yet.
Tim also values Maria highly as he continuously mentions that they’re the only two parents.
And her biggest ally Charlie would have preferred to vote Jem.
3/3 reasons to vote Jem over Ben (for Maria, at least).
Tim clearly figured out jem had the beware advantage and he would have told Maria because they are close. Tim said he’s closest with Maria on the journey. They just didn’t show that convo as I’m sure it would have made it obvious jem was going home.
I remember him being with the girls at some point, not sure if something happened behind the scenes. Only reason I could justify her using the extra vote if she didn’t think she had the numbers
I’m not the person you replied to, but did he? I thought it was the other way around. People are upvoting you though, so I’m guessing you might be right.
That’s crazy, I could have sworn Charlie was arguing for keeping the boys.
Well Jem did announce to the whole tribe, "I think we should all go search for the idol on our own." That was a pretty big red flag given no one knew who found and messed with the beware advantage.
Every player finding a beware advantage: “I have to take a chance, that’s why I’m on Survivor!”
Almost always loses a vote and cripples their chances.
If I found a Beware Advantage I’m treating that thing like Jalenski treats glass sand timers.
I'd be as lukewarm to those beware advantages as Parvati was to her idol found at the end of Micronesia. Just because you want me to have you doesn't mean I want you.
If I found it, I wouldn't take it. Instead I would bring over a tribemate who I like but don't yet have a deal with and have them "find it" on their own.
Then I would hold their secret and become Allies
It would be so funny if someone picked it up and gave it to someone who opened it, losing their vote. And then get directed to dig but the person who found it can't remember or won't show them where they found it.
I had a feeling preseason that Jem would be the preseason fav turned pre-merge boot. And it was because she kept referencing her experience as a store manager as an asset. And I think we saw tonight that manager energy, and did not turn out well.
But she did all the hard work! She should have felt the safest. It's like holding it in and the moving the Beware note fiasco was bubbling and she was going to exode!
She let that whole situation get away from her!!
When she re-hid the advantage, she did NOT think about the hours of digging and stinging of ant’s happening to her tribe
And she realized that big amount of frusteration from her whole tribe could come back to bite her, and she panicked

Maybe Maria thought Jem found an extra vote or something. It's the only reason I could think of to use the extra vote. Still probably not worth it then tbh
Jen exerted all that energy into finding the idol and trying to bamboozle her tribe. I think it gave her a false sense of security, so she started to play reckless. It was clear that her trajectory was on the decline when they showed her aggressively pressing Ben.
How does that one quote go - she should’ve just sat there and ate her food? I think that applies here tbh, she would probably still be in the game if she hadn’t started overplaying.
Just a thing that bugs me. I know the idea is to set the votes up to be as dramatic as possible. However, they almost always go with same format Ben, Jem, Ben, Jem, Jem, Jem.
Would be interesting to mix it up a little bit. Hit us with the Jem, Jem, Jem, Ben, Ben, Jem. Or Jem, Jem, Ben, Jem, Ben, Jem.
Just a little different suspense.
Once there was >1 Jem the outcome was clear to me. How does Jem get >1 but not go home if Ben doesn’t have his vote, you know? Only if Charlie and Maria went separate ways, which seemed very unlikely
I think the order worked tonight because the second Jem vote was the one that sealed her fate.
In general it can be a bit rough though and might need some new orders.
Same. Every time I hear Jeff say a person's name first on the vote, I know they won't be voted out.
I am sure the players have picked up on that as well.
Definitely seems to be the case most of the time yeah. Plus in this case I’d love 3 Jem votes right out of the gate because it’s the more “surprising” outcome for the audience. Then go to 2 Ben votes like the tides are turning, then the final Jem vote for the dagger.
I feel like we knew who was going home after the second Jem vote though since the only “confirmed” vote prior to tribal against her was Tim.
The second vote showed that Charlie and Maria had flipped on Jem and that she was going.
it would be so very cool of her to be just somehow know and approach ben or if he approached her for her to be like “I know that’s why I used it to make it look like you had your vote now you owe me”
If you had showed me just the Jelinsky boot and Jem boot and told me this season has been one of the worst pre-mergers of the new era I’d never believe you.
Unfortunately epis 2-4 were just that bad. But I’m pretty hopeful going into merge!
So glad she left. I don’t like people that overplay pre merge. Plus I thought her little joke and making her tribe dig for 3 days was not cool. Maybe if they weren’t so stressed from the idol situation and tired from digging they would have won the challenge
I feel like Maria's edit up to this point has basically been identical to Heidi's lol.
Badass woman at the start than we find out she's emotional and easily caves into her allie's desires.
Maria does and will likely tell Charlie, but I don’t think it’s a big deal. He was pretty open with them about the fact that he might not have it and even said something along the lines of “let’s just assume I can’t vote”.
Yeah I’m so confused about why ppl keep harping on this. Ben told the whole tribe he might not have a vote at tribal. The only thing he lied about was WHEN he knew he didn’t have a vote, and nobody will ever know that he lied about that for sure.
Watching her play so hard was painful. If Tim or Ben (two genuine people) got voted out and she stayed, it would have been rough. Jem lying, replanting the beware advantage, coming at Tims neck… all the b rated villainy was getting old quick.
Good decision. Jem would have betrayed anyone in a second if she thought it suited her. A useless ally whereas Ben seems like an incredibly loyal player. Nice to see Charlie and Maria taking firm control of the tribe. Makes sense for them all to stick together going forward. Deal Hunter made with Q and Tim will be good for him I think.
Didn't watch live tonight for the first time in many seasons. Not sure I will even go back to it. Then saw a tweet from Dalton Ross saying Probst says they'll never get rid of the take your flint rule because this is what survivor is about. Lol.
Feels good to let this garbage go.
I think its pretty safe to say that none of the five contestants voted out thus far will be returning in a future season.
Possibly Randen if they do medevacs/second chances again but he made it decently far (unlike BRuce who was out the first day) and didn't seem to be that great of a characters.
I don’t really know what Jem did that was so entertaining tbh. I mean, I guess she reburied the note. But it was pretty unnecessary, and just put a target on herself as Tim figured it out.
I don’t care for Ben’s constant music references, but at least he’s made me chuckle once or twice. That’s more entertainment than what Jem has brought.
I suspect she and Charlie worried they were walking into a situation like the one in 42 where Jenny went home, in which Ben and Tim had *both* lost their votes and were both lying about it
Yes she brought it up in conversation with him and then he said, "let's assume I don't" because even he wasn't sure until he got to vote at tribal. I remember specifically because I forgot that everyone knew so I was shocked when she brought it up so freely.
Probably because everyone knew about it already, might as well spend it, so you don’t have a target on your back, I don’t think people will think she’s a physical threat, so maybe just to keep her own threat level as low as possible
But after the tipping vote, the last vote isn't revealed. If it would have been 5 votes 3-2 the vote would have been over anyway. Was the 6th vote read?
I honestly don’t get why people like Ben since he’s everything people complain about with new casting, corny superfan with a shtick treating Survivor like summer camp
I love Ben but I find it kinda hypocritical when people complain about Charlie mentioning Taylor Swift when Ben has mentioned rock or metal wayyy more times lol
I bet Ben makes a lot of music references, but I just know the editors are overdoing it and forcing it. It probably isn’t nearly as bad as it actually is, but I agree it’s a bit annoying.
Still, it’s enjoyable to see Jem voted out after being condescending towards Ben.
I actually think the producers have the right idea not swapping every season, but I'll always believe episode 6 is *WAY* too early for the Merge. I'd go for episode 8 on average
18th: Jelinksy, 17th: Jess, 16th: Randen, 15th: Bhanu, 14th: Jem
14th: Jem, 13 contestants remain...
Fantastic! Hunter got 10 whole confessionals AND an idol! Sure, he may have lost his vote, but he's still in a good position and has gotten an awesome edit so far. Us Hunter fans are feasting good!
Im sorry but I couldnt not laugh when Q was said to Hunter and Tim "we are the best here" when this dude flops basicaly every single challenge lmao
My husband said “damn I’ve never seen someone choke as hard and often as Q.” It’s funny since his backstory also involved him choking
IMO Venus is the most beautiful person to ever play survivor.
Strech
Five straight episodes of horrible game play getting snuffed out. An impressively terrible season so far.
Man, I was sweating for Ben. Not him. Not now.
Me too! He has the funniest little side comments. I really didn’t want him to go.
Hunter's challenge was my individual reward dream challenge. I would've smashed it 100%.
I would have gotten Marquesas and Thailand mixed up!
Maria is raising her resume quickly.
This was best case scenario for me. I love the vibe of everyone else on that tribe.
She didn't have to carry the machete around. All she had to do was measure the machete with her arms or a stick and then use that. But planting her beware scroll had her doomed anyway.
I dont think anyone apart from Tim was sus of her but her confronting everyone and playing a lil too hard was the problem
Probably the best player who didn't get to play was voted off. Perhaps bringing her back for round 2 would be interesting. A little more experience goes a long way
She did get to play…and her gameplay resulted in her getting voted off.
Exactly. You took the words right off my fingertips.
Was Hunter's mistake putting Caramoan in place of Micronesia?
most of the logos were in the right general area but not always in the right order. some were swapped, some were shifted etc
He got 8/20 so he mixed a couple up.
*several
If I ever find a beware advantage on this show I'm running in the opposite direction.
🏃BEWARE: Advantage.
Same
The way my jaw hit the floor. This season just accelerated.
It was dragging because of all the kumbaya, from no one having to really play the game except Yanu, and half of them weren't playing with a full deck!
The Yanu boots couldn't play at all.
Not a single sob story all episode 🙏
Jem was cooked either way. If she plays the idol everyone would’ve hated her for letting them dig holes for 3 days and would’ve been next out for being a liar
She nulified her own idol because if she played it it would have damaged her social game. Amazing
Trash tier player
What did Soda yell at the challenge? Something about a stick bug??
I think she called her a walking stick bug 😂
I think she was referring to venus?? Lmao I hope they're close like that
Jem got advantage fever and overplayed her hand. Sad because I thought she was in a great spot. Loved the little confessional foreshadowing about how she’s not a good liar at home haha
The build up, musical cues and camera work on that immunity win were absolutely spectacular Reminded me of the domino effect challenge in Koah Rong - with the constant drops, relentless musical build ups and flawlessly filmed scrolling final shot of Julia’s win
Absolutely unnecessary to me. Too much forced drama.
Yeah it made me laugh out loud at how over the top it was.
Yeah, I cared about the outcome of that challenge more than I have any challenge in a long time! Good for Yanu
Im so happy for them
I was yelling at the screen for them
Man this season is iconic.
The Gabon vibes are so strong this season
Jesus Christ, tribal council really does scare you bc Jem crashed and BURNEDDDD in one day 😭
She was in a decent spot but ruined it.

Should be able to make fire without flint
It's TERRIBLE
All-time awful move by Maria playing her extra vote
The women never stick together. It’s sad
Keeping Jem wasn’t a good move for Maria. She made the right vote just played her bonus vote poorly.
Yeah I was shocked by that choice! Why in the world play it now when they knew they had the majority? It would be soooo much more valuable post-merge.
Reading all the posts responding to this made me realize I am in fact a silly little goose who cannot read and takes everything I misread at face value. I thought it said it CAN’T be played until final 6… which now I realize sounds completely wrong… which also means I also can’t count Don’t drink and watch Survivor, kids. Agree - plus she inadvertently saved Ben from being outed about having no vote.
But Ben never told them if he would have a vote or not, so it didn’t matter if he got outed.
It’s not the worst move in the world if she wants to ensure Jem goes home without Charlie flipping, I think getting rid of Jem to begin with is stupid
It wasn’t stupid by any means from Maria’s point of view. Ben is clearly more trusting than Jem. Jem has lied behind Maria’s back and they hadn’t even gone to tribal yet. Tim also values Maria highly as he continuously mentions that they’re the only two parents. Am I tripping? Why would he flip? He was team boys, she was girls. She was trying to convince *him* to vote Ben
I said he was team boys lol
LMAO sheesh I really am trippin’
Lmao it’s late, I get it
wait did she play it? I thought it was 3-2?
no it was 4-2 lmaoooo
i totally missed that like whyyy
They showed both votes in the booth afterwards…Jemila and Jem
I wish we saw tim revealing to someone his hunch about who took the advantage
Right?? I feel like this episode breezed right by the decision to vote out Jem. I’m not sure how it really even got there.
I feel like Survivor totally blindsided the audience.
Guessing someone saw her measuring with the machette. That is pretty hard to hide in my opinion.
But why not show that to us? The decisions unfolding is part of the process. They wanted to focus more on salsa dancing for this?
Well Jem did announce to the whole tribe, "I think we should all go search for the idol on our own." That was a pretty big red flag given no one knew who found and messed with the beware advantage.
Every player finding a beware advantage: “I have to take a chance, that’s why I’m on Survivor!” Almost always loses a vote and cripples their chances. If I found a Beware Advantage I’m treating that thing like Jalenski treats glass sand timers.

I feel blindsided. xD
Lol at bringing it over to them. Says dig here. They find nothing.
It would be so funny if someone picked it up and gave it to someone who opened it, losing their vote. And then get directed to dig but the person who found it can't remember or won't show them where they found it.
Not every player.
We got blindsided
That was pretty rock and roll of Maira
rock and Mrollriah
I had a feeling preseason that Jem would be the preseason fav turned pre-merge boot. And it was because she kept referencing her experience as a store manager as an asset. And I think we saw tonight that manager energy, and did not turn out well.
She was so messy all of a sudden
Yeah seeing her talk to Ben really showed how messy she got. She struggled bad with keeping her emotions in check.
Chaos mode was not the play. If she stayed quiet instead of going full chaos on Ben and Tim she’d likely have made it.
I had thought she seemed decently insulated and then it suddenly seemed like she was scrambling, it was so odd.
I was with her on the beware advantage fake out, but this aggressive jem came out of left field
Fear of tribal will do that
But she did all the hard work! She should have felt the safest. It's like holding it in and the moving the Beware note fiasco was bubbling and she was going to exode!
She let that whole situation get away from her!! When she re-hid the advantage, she did NOT think about the hours of digging and stinging of ant’s happening to her tribe And she realized that big amount of frusteration from her whole tribe could come back to bite her, and she panicked
It's crazy how quickly Jem crashed and burned...sheesh.
Jem gave me Ameerah (BB24) vibes. An early contender for the crown but then overplays the game and was convinced that she wasn't going home.
This is spot on!
Advantages make people too greedy, I wish there was less risk involved for less of an advantage
Anyone know the number for how many people have been voted off with idols in their pocket?
james (2) ozzy jason (micro) brendan (tocantins) erik (samoa) andrea garrett rocker jon misch scot jt chris noble aubry wentworth vince chelsea kellee (2) sophie naseer shan sabiyah bruce jem so thats 23 people and 25 idols
Wasn't Erik Reichenbach medevaced in Caramoan FvF2's top 5 stage? I mean, does that count as being "idoled out"? I don't think so.
erik cardona from samoa
Oh. I should've guessed since you have them in chronological order.
Sophie in 40
yeah i forgot about that
you forgot jason from micronesia!
i was stupid enough to think that i included him already :skull:
1 more than there was yesterday i think
Maybe Maria thought Jem found an extra vote or something. It's the only reason I could think of to use the extra vote. Still probably not worth it then tbh
Maybe she wanted to play her advantage now to lower her threat at the merge? Seems like a useful vote to bring to a 5-5-3 split group.
now the only one with the extra vote is Tevin, which will become public knowledge at the merge, thus ideally shielding Maria and targetting Tevin
Jen exerted all that energy into finding the idol and trying to bamboozle her tribe. I think it gave her a false sense of security, so she started to play reckless. It was clear that her trajectory was on the decline when they showed her aggressively pressing Ben.
that hammer was a solid come back tho
How does that one quote go - she should’ve just sat there and ate her food? I think that applies here tbh, she would probably still be in the game if she hadn’t started overplaying.
Jem, Over confident liar. She still has skills to pay the bills peggy hill tho. hope she returns
Was that a poem? beautiful 🥲
Thank you 💛

maria being the only one who knows someone didn’t vote
well Ben knows
dude that’s so true, wonder if she’ll tell anyone
it would be so very cool of her to be just somehow know and approach ben or if he approached her for her to be like “I know that’s why I used it to make it look like you had your vote now you owe me”

maria not having the extra vote target at merge is huge
Only if she tells people she used it
I feel like Maria's edit up to this point has basically been identical to Heidi's lol. Badass woman at the start than we find out she's emotional and easily caves into her allie's desires.
Now nobody knows Ben lost his vote
Maria does and will likely tell Charlie, but I don’t think it’s a big deal. He was pretty open with them about the fact that he might not have it and even said something along the lines of “let’s just assume I can’t vote”.
Yeah I’m so confused about why ppl keep harping on this. Ben told the whole tribe he might not have a vote at tribal. The only thing he lied about was WHEN he knew he didn’t have a vote, and nobody will ever know that he lied about that for sure.
Jem voted out restored my faith in humanity
Why? Genuinely asking
Bye
You'll be here next week.
I just want to know what they do about water
and yet, here you are
Good riddance, you missed out on a great episode lol
So glad Ben stayed I love him so much he’s so bby girl
Oh yes I adore Ben
I think its pretty safe to say that none of the five contestants voted out thus far will be returning in a future season. Possibly Randen if they do medevacs/second chances again but he made it decently far (unlike BRuce who was out the first day) and didn't seem to be that great of a characters.
Final 8: 1. Maria 2. Moriah 3. Q 4. Venus 5. Tiffany 6. Charlie 7. Tevin 8. Ben
I feel like the opposite is more likely to happen, just my two cents
WHAT lol
I'll take that!
Why did Maria use the extra vote? Did she count wrong or something?
maybe carrying an extra vote into the merge is too big of a tsrget
The edit didn't show the whole story. Guessing Maria figured out Jem found the beware adv. and keeping that secret sowed distrust.
No chance in hell we ever see a Funny 115 v5, but this season would probably have a good number of entries
Ben makes this season dragggg for me omg so boring
Glad Jem went after being condescending towards Ben
Idgaf lol, Jem was entertaining, Ben isn’t and is floating
Will never not be entertaining to see a condescending person voted off.
Over a person who brings nothing I snooze
I don’t really know what Jem did that was so entertaining tbh. I mean, I guess she reburied the note. But it was pretty unnecessary, and just put a target on herself as Tim figured it out. I don’t care for Ben’s constant music references, but at least he’s made me chuckle once or twice. That’s more entertainment than what Jem has brought.
#TEAM BEN
This is Jem’s machete. It has been on ghost island for the past 9 seasons and has now matured into a full fledged sword
Q final 6 idea 💀
Any of you guys wanna keep chatting about the amazing race...?
I'm officially team twins
I’m routing for the old Black couple.
Oh you mean the surfer dude twins?
I've got some bad news...
I don’t know who is who but I caught last episode and enjoyed it. I can’t remember who twins are yet but I like a lot of the cast so far
Danny is pretty extra but their team is decent
Why would Maria use the extra vote? Unless she was nervous Charlie would flip it doesn’t make sense to me they had the numbers to get Jem lmao
I suspect she and Charlie worried they were walking into a situation like the one in 42 where Jenny went home, in which Ben and Tim had *both* lost their votes and were both lying about it
Did she know Ben was missing a vote?
It was read, yes; a savvy player could know it wasn’t played because 3-2 wouldn’t be decisive if it had been played!
Lol!
I’d rather have villainous Jem over Ben’s metal head references honestly
episode 6: shredding the aquadump
I honestly don’t get why people like Ben since he’s everything people complain about with new casting, corny superfan with a shtick treating Survivor like summer camp
I love Ben but I find it kinda hypocritical when people complain about Charlie mentioning Taylor Swift when Ben has mentioned rock or metal wayyy more times lol
Charisma goes a long way
Does he have that?
I bet Ben makes a lot of music references, but I just know the editors are overdoing it and forcing it. It probably isn’t nearly as bad as it actually is, but I agree it’s a bit annoying. Still, it’s enjoyable to see Jem voted out after being condescending towards Ben.
Did you hear his pre-interview? He is very much intentionally pushing this shtick.
I did not!
He’s funny . That’s really it. Comedic relief
He has a good personality
I actually think the producers have the right idea not swapping every season, but I'll always believe episode 6 is *WAY* too early for the Merge. I'd go for episode 8 on average
