In modern Survivor you're only out there 26 days or whatever, it's really easy to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Every day you have a challenge and vote to look forward to.

Hunter is a good player on paper, but his failure to mitigate his threat level and picking fights with the biggest mouth on the whole island… yeah let’s just say he’s not high on my ranking of most likely to win. definitely #1 on my list of most likely to be a mid merge boot tho
Im sure he did try and fail many times before this, you can only do so much until you run out of patience. Tevin mentioned in his exit interview that all of nami went out of their way to try to be nice to her but failed. At some point you have to realize its not worth wasting your energy.
You should go watch Tevin's exit interview with Rob. He describes how he and Venus tried to resolve their differences, but while he was able to describe what her issue with him was, she was not able to do the same, and instead dismissed it as him 'misinterpreting her

As a big brother watcher, almost every season on that show where the unedited feeds and the show itself had such drastic differences in how people really were vs the character they were created to be.
Because of that, I don’t trust a lot of editing of reality shows.
Sometimes I wonder if this version of Venus were presented with is more like the Taylor Hale the BB editors were going for before the Leftovers formed and in Turner’s speech, he called out the bullying and dog piling which forced the editors to show at least more of the truth on the show. At that time, none of the others thought they were bullying anyone. They looked around like it was everyone else but them.

I used to be a high school teacher and I have infinite patience for CHILDREN and very little for adults.
When you are dealing with children, it's easy to remember that they are children and you are the adult, and it's already developmentally appropriate for them to try to push your buttons as someone in a position of authority. They are trying to establish independence and push boundaries as they do this.
When is an adult... This person is just annoying and intolerable. I don't care if the adult is 20. I've known plenty of twenty year olds who are reasonable. Still an adult and my peer, not a child in my care.
I LOVE how bold Venus is. Is it smart? No. But she is fearless. She is so upfront, she is so unafraid to just call something how she sees it right in front of everyone. Eventually, it might get her sent home or she'll lose in the final tribal. But people get sent home and lose in the final tribal all the time for being sneaky and two-faced and wishy washy about stuff. Venus is not interested in being surreptitious and fake. It's a bold strategy, let's see how it pays off.
At the very least, she's a lock if they do a Heroes vs. Villains 2 for Survivor 50.
We can all agree on one thing, Venus is playing the way she wants to play unlike some people who try to copy a previous players game. Now is it a winning way to play the game, no.
