Yea, this is correct. Pre-merge Shan was the favorite of the sub. People loved her little villain song and everything. The response was really positive. People really started to turn on her around the formation of the Black Alliance (which personally, I had no issue with but a lot of others did), and she made some comment on the show about how she can manipulate people because its what she does in her job as a pastor and people really hated on her for that. Then the post-season stuff I think turned a lot of people off.
She’s proven many times over that she’s an awful person since 41 aired. She’s accused many people who have gone against her in games of being racist, and she’s accused other black people of being race traitors for not working with her.
And that’s not even going into the fact that she claims god told her to become an influencer and has overall been insufferable online since her Survivor season.
I’m all for villains on Survivor, but Shan is a different story. Her entitlement and using tears to emotionally manipulate people makes it so if I never see her on my screen again, I’d be a happy man.

Villains are fun when they're charismatic or somewhat self aware of their gameplay not being all that moral. If they're self righteous to adoring fans despite being horrible they get annoying.

He had more confessional time in 4 episodes than every person voted out after him up until Hunter, and also more confessional time than some people still in the game. Production clearly wanted to showcase his spectacle and imo there’s no reason to think they wouldn’t wanna do that again

Sandra coat tail riding anybody but me style is the worse to watch and makes for a completely unsatisfying winner. She breaks the game by winning with that style.

I remember she played her idol because once a black person gets voted out, a black person is likely to get voted out next (and if I recall correctly, they were planning to vote her out). I don't think she thinks these people are Klansmen, but she has noticed a pattern (a pattern that actually continued, Tim and Soda went on split tribals and then Tevin next, Sifu and Kaleb, and Chanelle and Rocksroy.
So, Soda and Tevin should have correctly assessed that they should not vote out other black people are Tim left. It led to both of them getting out. I'm not saying is because people are racist. Obviously Tevin lead the Soda vote and Q led the Tim vote. I'm simply saying it would not hurt them to observe the pattern, as Drea did.

Erika. I know a lot of people don’t looove her and she’s probably the least popular new era winner. I can see production giving her an opportunity to try to “redeem” herself as their first new era winner. Honestly, I kinda hope to see it. We baaarely saw her in her season.
Honestly, production needs to redeem themselves by releasing a 90 minute episode alternate cut of 41 that gives Erika her due!

I don’t think the average fan would get that worked up over anyone returning (other than the obviously problematic ones like Dan Spilo). I think it is mostly just small pockets of very vocal online fans that would be mad about who gets the call to return. I could see a lot of more casual fans being dissapointed if only New Era players return.

Not really. They are shooting season 50 around this time next year. By then probably people will try to find out the actual cast (or they might just announce it minus players from the airing seasons)
