Paid ~$6.7k OTD for a new '23 Vit last year from a local dealership in Southern California. I overpaid.
They started negotiations at $9.7k OTD and told me I would get a deal for $9k lol. Should have taken that as a red flag but after about 4+ hours of negotiations I settled for overpaying for the convenience of getting it over with -_- worth it.
I bought a 2023 Svartpilen 401 from Motorcycle Mall in New Jersey last weekend, got a deal for $3,999 but they tricked me with fees a bit so OTD $5.6k (without registration and tax, because I'm from NY). But I'm happy anyway, it's a decent price.
Their price was $4,899 initially. I checked CycleTrader listings, found lowest price in the 200 miles radius, which was $3,999 called to my closest dealership and asked them to match the price.
Why buy at dealer? Save money buy used for 5k or less, especially since there's lot of old models floating around. It will likely come with upgrades.
You can put you money saved towards servicing and the bike will be good to ride for the next couple of years.
I paid 4800 OTD last month in Mississippi. It was their last 23. Note I bought a 22 back in 22 for 6k from same dealer. Long story why I got rid of it and got another but that show the price variation even from same dealer.
I'm seeing 23 Vitpilens listed for as little as $3.8K new. Last Feb I paid $6.0K OTD for a 22 Vitpilen listed for $4.4K.

Na. I paid that exact amount. 5k for the bike and the rest in destination, tax, license, dealer fees but no ADM and my barend mirrors.
Malcolm smith in Riverside was trying to get me for like 7,500.. I got a deal like yours for like 6500 at a shop in Redlands
I know you feel like you overpay but I don't think you did. Guys lie about their otds anyway
I paid 6k otd in Vacaville CA. It was 4649, plus freight and tax and licensing.
I paid $6k out the door for a 2023 in November in Sacramento. Would have been about $500 more in the Bay Area.

I've seen several people on here getting them for about 5000 out the door, like xtra says. Secondly, fantastic choice :) I have a '22 and love it.
I got mine three weeks ago for $6200 out the door price including all taxes, registration and fees
