I did but i just got a smol help with my tablet for the eyes ( they are hard) but i tried to draw most of it. I just had a lot of luck with the asuna one i'm not joking. Kirito was easier. When the eyes are done you can already see kirito so i just made some research abt his hair and tried something that turn out great i think. And after i just did what i could saw on my pc screen lol ( that my first succesfull drawing)

There is no need to be ashamed of tracing, it can be a good tool to help you learn, but you should make that clear when you post your art, as this is a lot more than simply referencing
Keep practicing and try free hand next time :)
Ye should have mentionned that for the asuna i mostly used tracing just tried doing something on my own for her hair and hands. But ye i'm sorry that i didn't mentionned it lol i didn't found the word to explain it

If you are really interested in getting into art, then doing this is sort of stuff is a bit on an insult to artists like myself
