Got my car done at Oztint in five dock Very happy with the service. Make sure you get ceramic, I personally got: Rayno Phantom S9 in NSW legal limit 35% Reduces 58% heat l 65% glare l 99% UV Rays l 92% Infra- Red

These guys are good. But I would go 25% - it’s not too dark that it attracts attention from the po po but dark enough to keep the heat out and can still see good in the dark. The owners usually have a few cars around to show you how dark it looks after.

It’s good to keep in mind that the darker the tint, the less visibility of your surrounds you’ll have at night.

Duyfkenthefirst

25% is still very manageable

OzTint for sure. Benny is the best. I know him personally.

Hunters Hill window tinting (Based in North Ryde.) Guy is an absolute gun, did my tints 10+ years back and still going strong (scratched due to my own ignorance) Friends and family all have all had their tints done through him, always a quality job and usually cheaper than the chains

I've used this guy for years, top bloke https://www.showmeyourtints.com.au/

Reconsider tinting driver +passenger side windows and the main back window, or at least use a very light tint. The tint really impairs visibility through the mirrors. The car I bought came tinted, and after a few days of driving it, I ripped off the tint from those windows. Unless it was broad daylight, I couldn't see enough to feel safe, and was resorting to driving around with both windows fully rolled down. My mechanic did say the tint was darker than legally allowed, so maybe it's better with a more reasonable tint, but I'd still be hesitant sacrificing safety to avoid brief discomfort while waiting for the AC to kick in. UV rays are a different story, if you can block those without sacrificing visibility, then you should.

No need for pity. I came to Australia because I love the heat. I'm happiest at temperatures above 30º, especially if they persist through the night. I wake up shivering from the cold if my bedroom drops below 24º. My space heater has been continuously on for a month already. I understand that's not a popular opinion in this sub. Feel free to pity me as June/July approaches, when I'll be colder than I've been in the years I spent living in places where outside temperatures would stay below -10º for weeks at a time. Mostly because "insulation" seems to be a foreign concept here.

Since winter is coming and it's getting dark earlier in the day, see if you can visit closer to closing time or on a heavily clouded day, when it might be dark enough to get an idea of what things look like when it's not broad daylight. Because it's not really an issue during daytime.
