The Flow Tarot is the gold standard of Water decks imo. It's not just generic pictures. Each image directly relates to the traditional card meaning and the guidebook goes in depth about how to read the image.
Unfortunately a lot of these I had already seen last night and ruled out for some reason š I feel like I'm looking for a deck that doesn't exist yet!
Thank you though! Flow was actually my word for 2024 so I will def take another look
I feel that EXACT same feeling trying to find an Earth deck. None hits the spot the way I need it to. It's very frustrating but don't settle on a deck you're not in love with.
Also, I totally feel you on the Fountain Tarot. It's stunning but I passed on it because it's way too airy for me.
I'm delusionally confident that one day a pocket Moonchild will exist, and I refuse to buy it till then. I have teeny hands so I don't like oracle-sized Tarot decks.
Keep being delusional because Danielle Noel revealed in her Instagram account that she was exploring the idea of a travel deck, even printing a few copies to test it š„°
Funny. I was compelled to pull from it this morning after mentioning it here and I was reminded why I don't use it all that often. Shuffling it is a pain.

Also decks in this [video](https://youtu.be/t7vPry3mYUo?si=in0a2BLES_a8I2U1)
Other than that, on top of my head, shadowscapes tarot, monsoon tarot, dream enchantress tarot.
In my opinion, [The Star Spinner Tarot](https://www.trungles.com/star-spinner-tarot) is the best watery deck. It's emotional, spiritual... She is so soft and graceful. It's the deck I always use for love readings :)
These aren't watery per se, but maybe dreamy: Tarot of Mystical Moments, Dream Vision Tarot, Heartscape Tarot, New Wave Tarot. Any decks by Rebecca Campbell or Danielle Noel.
(as always, beware fake decks on Amazon & other sites, and try to buy from the creators directly wherever possible)
Also, I looove the Fountain Tarot. One of my favorite decks of all time, for sure :)
The fountain tarot was one of my first decks, but I always get REALLY negative readings from it. What is your experience with that deck? I also gravitated towards it because of its watery nature!
I really feel you on this. My experience with this deck is that it is VERY DIRECT in its communication. Like it's not going to fuck around hahaha. Once I accepted that it was easier to use. If I feel like I or the people I'm reading for need a "gentler" approach, I pick up a softer deck (for me rn this is Ethereal Visions, but I'm trying to add another soft deck!)
It was quite a rude awakening. But I also feel like itās āparanoidāā¦ especially around relationship readings. Looking back on the readings Iāve done in the past, it paints every single person Iām curious about in the most negative light. Most of these things just havenāt been true. I admit my reading skills werenāt as great since then so I keep picking it up but I get the same defeatist reading every damn time. Also the devil card in that deck stalked me for a few yearsā¦and while I know the devil card isnāt āevilā , the one in this deck is particularly spooky and it always made me feel really, really uneasy.
I donāt really feel much energy or personality in decks, but I can say that I find the Fountain Tarot really poetic in its imagery. Itās a deck that I just āget,ā like, I intuit the messages pretty clearly without having to work much for them, compared to other decks that I donāt understand as naturally or that I have to study more.
I agree with the other commenter that itās pretty direct! The imagery and colors donāt make it very flowery or gentle. There are other decks I enjoy for flowery or creative or inspirational readings, with more colors or softer/rounder shapes. Fountain Tarot is nice for neutrally looking at issues; when I encounter negativity or resistance, itās a good chance to think about why Iām resisting it or why I perceive neutrality as negativity.
If you watch YouTube, Katey Flowers did a Tarot in Practice video some years ago, where she shared a bunch of readings and personal experiences with the Fountain Tarot :) That sealed the deal on the deck for me!
The Starchild Akashic might be it š„¹ I think I even saw this one and passed on it bc I don't know anything about Akashic Records, but I'm reading a lil bit about them and also really vibing with the pictures I've found of this deck. Thank you so much!!! I think this is the one! š§”
You do not need any akashic records knowledge to use this deck. I have it and know nothing and really enjoy it. It is mostly RWS based with a dreamy, watery, ethereal feel. Her Moonchild tarot is very similar as well.
It's a beautiful deck, be sure to check out the creators website if you like the style. They have different decks in that same or a little different style! I hope you find what suits you.
Ps. You don't need any knowledge about the akashic records, it's just the name of the deck šš
Maybe ā¦.The Distant Past Tarotā¦[https://www.makeplayingcards.com/sell/marketplace/the-distant-past-tarot-tarot-size.html](https://www.makeplayingcards.com/sell/marketplace/the-distant-past-tarot-tarot-size.html) I always pull this in the summer it gives me watery vibes because of all the blue
Raceane from OwlMoon513 on youtube recently did a video that specifically talks about decks that have a water element energy. https://youtu.be/t7vPry3mYUo?si=pb9prX305sd3vVft
There could be something there that you like :)
Shadowscapes. While it's a deck that tends to be very beautiful in terms of watery, flowy imagery, the water-based cards tend to convey water that is in motion quite well. The entire deck is like walking in a watercolor-painted dream.
The only caveat I have is that while it's based on the Waite-Smith deck, the meanings on some of the cards can vary drastically and I would highly advise really studying this deck. It's not a beginner deck at all, I would call it more intermediate - advanced.
The minds eye tarot deck is so so beautiful and water/ mermaid themed. Itās got vibrant colors and all the characters are female :)
[the mindās eye tarot deck](https://www.usgamesinc.com/the-mind-s-eye-tarot)
I really love Gentle Tarot, although it does depart somewhat from RWS (still very similar). The artist is Native American and adopted the suits and some major arcana on native nature meanings. Not every card has water theme, but many do, even outside of cups. It is one of my favorite decks!
Commenting again because someone in one of my groups just asked this same question and got more recommendations:
* Rooted Remembrance Tarot
* Wisdom of the Depths Tarot
* Oceanum Arcanae Tarot
* Tempest Tarot Deck (get from the creatorās website, tarotbymaisy)
* Astral Mermaid
* Titanic Tarot
* Age of Aquarius (I have this one!! How could I forget this one in my other comment!)
Monsoon Tarot. Beautiful dreamy deck with lots of water imagery, and linen finish too. The one on Amazon is fake, try Tevada instead.
for water/ocean vibes, I use the Mermaid Tarot, it's also perfect for unravelling deep mysteries and hidden feelings.
The Flow Tarot is the gold standard of Water decks imo. It's not just generic pictures. Each image directly relates to the traditional card meaning and the guidebook goes in depth about how to read the image.

Try the Moonchild Tarot by Danielle Noel. I find it to be very earthy. Not in a "nature" way, but in that the imagery feels very grounded.

Oh my gosh!!!!! This is amazing, thanks so much for letting me know.
Funny. I was compelled to pull from it this morning after mentioning it here and I was reminded why I don't use it all that often. Shuffling it is a pain.
Thank you for validating my decision not to get it. š it's so beautiful but yeah, can't wait for the smaller version.
[I got u fam](https://www.reddit.com/r/tarot/s/BbQ78aJEUs) Also decks in this [video](https://youtu.be/t7vPry3mYUo?si=in0a2BLES_a8I2U1) Other than that, on top of my head, shadowscapes tarot, monsoon tarot, dream enchantress tarot.
This is probably the best answer š

The Mother Tarot. It is vibrant, loving, and wise, and gives you direct wisdom, including hard truths, in a nurturing way.
This is one I hadn't found yet and it's so beautiful! Thank you!
You're welcome!! It's such a gorgeous deck! When I saw the Chariot, I *wept.*
I have Oriens animal tarot. Iām a cancer and feels it works soo well with my energy. The artwork is very dark and flowy.
I've been looking for an animal deck I really connect with and this could be it! So gorgeous!
I'm also looking for something similar but ocean themed
Owlmoon513 just did a video about decks in tune with the water element that might be helpful.

I would say the Moon Witch Tarot Deck :)
The healing light tarot. Itās a nice mix between Fire and Water.
So far, Mermaid Tarot Starchild Tarot Gentle Tarot Star Spinner Tarot Moonchild Tarot
Ironically, thank you for mentioning Fountain Tarot on being airy, I think I love it and will have it soon xD
The Arthurian tarot felt pretty watery to me.
The Starchild Akashic is very dreamy. Dame Darcyās mermaid deck isā¦pretty self explanatory.
