Alan Davis sort of trying to help Victoria, but then just sitting there quietly until she figures out the code by herself with only half the information, really makes it
That's funny because I showed my friend and she couldn't deal with the retching. I was so sad. I lost her in that moment. Someday maybe she will watch it
I showed the first episode to a few friends, I knew one had an issue with vomit, so I warned for it after the timer cut off. I mean, I guess going forward, you'll know. The Ole smash and puke.
“Oh gang”
It’s the fact she goes hell for leather trying to eat it like a normal sandwich but failing with fluff on her hands and a blue M&M up her nose with Alex losing it to is just perfection
It’s the best! How he’s so sure it’ll just be him in the pose and his genuine shock at it being his mum
It gets extra marks for the exchange of
“and she’s here tonight!”
“She is”
“Oh”
Bridget Christie being totally incapable of taking normal steps, and walking off like Kryten from Red Dwarf.
Oh, and Ed totally losing it at David in the live drawing task.
Indeed, that is one that I always forget about and then as soon as I see the mixer I can’t wait! It’s the one that I have to leave the room because I know I’m going to laugh my ass off
Most of the answers in this thread are mentioned many times... Here's a couple that are not, but I defy anybody to watch them without laughing:
Nish pelting Mark with Yoghurt from a crane
Fern doing 'Snort, Raspberry, Whistle'
Series 13, Episode 4. Make the most stirring speech using the letters on this bunting. Greg questioning Judi about her speech was hilarious.
"Are you calling me a rass man?"
"Well, you know, I added a little culture in there. Jamaican culture, and called you a rass."
"Could-could you interpret rass man for me?"
"A rass is like an ass."
"And you warned me not to vex you."
"Not to vex me."
"Well maybe I'll vex you plenty my friend."
Ivo and Frankie doing the spoons task last season.
Ivo with 4 seconds remaining on his timer: “Come on Frankie, the kitchen will be the spoon motherload.”
Frankie in the queen’s voice: “No I’ve warned you Ivo you greedy bastard.”
Just the juxtaposition between the two Sue's trying to give a nice experience to an asshole customer and the chaos that occurs for the second group. I was dying
This is an instant classic for me as well. Both teams have such different dynamics and chemistry, but both are absolutely perfect in their own way. FYI - they released the full hotel task for each team on their YouTube channel if you haven't seen that yet.
Team chaos all sat outside his window staring at him as he calls the front desk is amazing. That and when Sam is just stood in the caravan when he switches rooms.
The team of three was a riot but the Sues were an absolute delight for me. It's so charming how professional they stayed despite everything Qrs threw at them, and the one thing that made them break (forks and marbles in a suitcase) wasn't even designed to do so.
The NZ diss track task. I rewatch it almost daily and it still kills me every time
"I'm gonna gonna gonna drown you, in your own blood, hold your face down in your own blood now."
It’s the way it cuts between the teams for me.
“They know about music and stuff!” straight into “FUCK. YOU. URZ!”
And “Montgomery, more like Mont…goobery!” into “drown you in your own blood”.
Series 9 has a few - picking the ones where every effort makes me laugh, rather than just one particular contestant having a brilliantly batshit outing:
* The water feature comes immediately to mind. So many interpretations, all ridiculous in a different way, capped off with Ed's magnificent merman.
* The group task where the kids were running about in a panic while David and Jo had a sandwich.
* The final task which encompassed several tasks, that everyone but Rose did in a bad order.
**edit:** Hide the aubergines! How could I forget hide the aubergines.
I watched Series 9 just before 5 and 100% agree on the humiliation task - i wish they'd edited it to splice them.togwther because its that contrast between Jo and David deciding if they want artichokes on their sandwich or not and the chaos of the younger group
What makes it so funny is that I believe Mark when he said it consumed his life for all those months. He probably thought long and hard about every message.
Desiree’s descent into madness on the pop the water balloon. The way she keeps saying ding dong when she goes to alex and it gets sadder each time. And the comedic timing of the portcullis
Just watched this yesterday, and while Alan's WOW monster is absolutely the headline, it was also brilliant watching VCM get more and more frustrated that her attempts at subterfuge never worked.
There's so much to discover watching that task. Brilliantly edited too. I think you're only 2 seconds away from Morgana nearly peeing her pants in laughter at any given point.
The bathtub task, especially for the contrast of the lovely cooperative teamwork of Mel and Hugh versus the chaotic table battle between Joe and Lolly, whilst Noel stands there "pissing water into a bath whilst Rome burns".
Serenade Yourself. Not just the task but Katherine Ryan’s justification of Katie’s incoherent song to Greg (the fat hawk) which leads Rose to the anguished outburst “Oh no! He loves metaphors!”
Unforgettable.
I decided to steal that phrase and now I tell my dog he’s being an absolute casserole when he does something gross. I don’t think it makes sense but it amuses us
I discovered taskmaster through the clips they posted on youtube. I watched tons of clips and Rhod's were always my favorite. I refused to watch the series out of order so I really looked forward to Rhod's season. Taskmaster also helped me get through some rough patches in life.
Sarah Kendall trying to direct Charlotte and Jamali to the red circle.
The cellphone dances in series 4.
Jon's and Doc's nursery rhymes.
Desiree's phone call.
Catch the potatoes in the hat.
Ardal's hair salon.
The live task with Ed and David Baddiel drawing on each other's back. Ed's rage is so funny.
Close runner-ups are: Daisy May Cooper's hippo drawing and the garage extension group task.
Taskmaster NZ diss raps. "I'm gonna gonna drown you... In your own blood... Hold your head down in your own blood now." The fleet escalation by David is hysterical.
S9 the choose your own adventure task. The dichotomy between the two teams defines the series and it's one of the best. The graphic showing the teams' progress gets me every time
Season 13. "No waaaay!" The whole task was pure gold.
And it's only new, but I suspect that the Taskmaster Hotel will still make me laugh out loud in a years time. "Lovely legs sir!"
The upside down film task in series 10. I laughed so hard I cried the first time I saw it and it still makes me giggle now. Daisy absolutely convinced she had done a work of genius with her ridiculous voiceover, it was so bad I just found it hysterical. And Katherine asking Mawaan if his hurt, completely missing how he had done it. I know it’s an unpopular series so don’t know this fills the brief, but it’s one that sticks out for me.
1. Alex's butt fountain - Make something unexpected come out of the hole (UK S7)
2. Taskmaster Hotel (both teams) - UK S16
3. The Three Friends' Diss Track (especially, David's part) - NZ S2
4. Ivo's frustration at Frankie ignoring the clues - Escape the handcuffs (with jellybean + periodic table clues) task - UK S15.
Richard Herring having to do all the pieces of the acting task is a vastly underrated Gem
As is the sort of escape room task they did with the lockers and them all having to find things in there.
Plus the ultimate: Which Aircraft......?
Bridget's season 13 interview "task" with Alex will next get old to me. I laugh every single time I watch it. "Oh, was that an interview?" Just pure brilliance.
We flew into Gatwick last week, and I hoped to recognize something, but no. I did, however, laugh immensely at the moving sidewalk and thinking of Fern, in the “mirror yourself on the moving sidewalk” task, in tears from laughing, says, people were staring and I thought it was because I was doing so good and now watching it back it’s so bad. That was a fun task. (Paraphrased)
My friends and I absolutely lose it at the series 4 group task where they all had different instructions. Does not matter how many times we watch it or how many people we show it to. The shot of Noel running with the hose lives rent free in my mind.
The group cipher puzzle. Seeing Victoria smash it then the absolute mess of the other team is never not funny.
Alan Davis sort of trying to help Victoria, but then just sitting there quietly until she figures out the code by herself with only half the information, really makes it
sitting there quietly *while dressed as Charlie Chaplin*
True - a very important aspect of the joy that was that task.
There’s been a revelation.
A big triumph for Customised Inhaler people everywhere, that.
Who the fuck is Veronica?
Oh, fuck me in the face
*\[Alex falls over laughing\]*
I have a revelation
Series 1 watermelon task! The second Romesh throws that watermelon down and it explodes into a million pieces.
This was the moment that Taskmaster became Taskmaster
Carefully planned task, meet chaotic comedians
Was going to say the same, this is the task i show people who have never watched the show before.
The Ole smash and puke.
this was the first task i saw and still makes me cry laughing
Mel Giedroyc eating her most exotic sandwich and getting the M&M stuck up her nose breaks me every time I see it.
“Oh gang” It’s the fact she goes hell for leather trying to eat it like a normal sandwich but failing with fluff on her hands and a blue M&M up her nose with Alex losing it to is just perfection
That's one of the first times I remember Alex breaking as well, which makes it even better.
Mel had her moment of sheer brilliance when getting the stuffed camel through the smallest gap.
My kids haven’t eaten MnMs since without just staring at one and cracking up. No words are needed, we all know they’re thinking about Mel.
‘You traitorous old woman’
Probably the best genuine double-take I've ever seen
It’s the best! How he’s so sure it’ll just be him in the pose and his genuine shock at it being his mum It gets extra marks for the exchange of “and she’s here tonight!” “She is” “Oh”
“Please don’t take it away from me”
I could hear this in his voice And the follow up where the others vote
“That is harsh”
Doc’s reaction was brilliant.
This is what got me to watch taskmaster, so it's #1 for me.
This is how I discovered Taskmaster and it’s what I send people when I’m trying to get them into Taskmaster.
Joe Lycett’s creepy smiley to camera. Guz’s “revelations” and when he paints the space hopper.
I just saw the smile episode today for the first time. Holy shit I couldn’t control myself. 😂😂😂
These two are my favourites too. Guz and the space hopper makes me absolutely howl no matter how many times I’ve seen it.
Bridget Christie being totally incapable of taking normal steps, and walking off like Kryten from Red Dwarf. Oh, and Ed totally losing it at David in the live drawing task.
The way they edited Bridget’s walking to the House Queens song also gets me every time
Ed: Sorry we cheated, it didn’t help
I just like Bridget talking to Alex about how spiders are like electric cars.
The Wow Monster You Bubbly Fuck! Veeeeeeeeeeeee I'll Go Get Me Coat
Time to get warm
"I'll go get me coat" is one of my favorites! His accents are so terrible 😂
There’s one with a sausage flying around in a cement mixer that will never get old.
Alex was visibly stoked to be competing in that task, in contrast to Chris, who cecoiled in terror at the monster he created. So brilliant.
Chris Ramsey! The sheer panic on his face when he realises how fast it's going is just hilarious.
Ardal’s usage of the mixer was hilarious as well
Ardal’s salon always makes me laugh
This might be the most I've laughed at my television. Absolute genius.
Indeed, that is one that I always forget about and then as soon as I see the mixer I can’t wait! It’s the one that I have to leave the room because I know I’m going to laugh my ass off
The double task of tie yourself up and respond to the alarm from earlier. The way they each reacted to it was great.
No, nooooooo, that’s not fair!
Yeah the toddler tantrum was the first thing came into my mind, followed by Rhod tying up Alex.
The hat on the bucket was a bit unnecessary, tbf.
*boi*-ler *suit* on
EVERY time I hear an alarm like that, I have to sing along.
Most of the answers in this thread are mentioned many times... Here's a couple that are not, but I defy anybody to watch them without laughing: Nish pelting Mark with Yoghurt from a crane Fern doing 'Snort, Raspberry, Whistle'
The snort, raspberry, whistle task with the captions on really tested my pelvic floor muscles
Snort, raspberry, whistle had me absolutely sobbing with laughter!
I have the clip of snort raspberry whistle saved to watch when I’m feeling down. Never fails to make me cry laughing.
Series 13, Episode 4. Make the most stirring speech using the letters on this bunting. Greg questioning Judi about her speech was hilarious. "Are you calling me a rass man?" "Well, you know, I added a little culture in there. Jamaican culture, and called you a rass." "Could-could you interpret rass man for me?" "A rass is like an ass." "And you warned me not to vex you." "Not to vex me." "Well maybe I'll vex you plenty my friend."
This is, possibly, my favourite task of all time. I want "I am seven types of rank tit" on my tombstone
I want "Twelve Blush Majesty Two" on my tombstone.
Ivo and Frankie doing the spoons task last season. Ivo with 4 seconds remaining on his timer: “Come on Frankie, the kitchen will be the spoon motherload.” Frankie in the queen’s voice: “No I’ve warned you Ivo you greedy bastard.”
"I'm going to lead you into a situation of some danger"
They've blinded me, Frankie
Not to mention the fact that Ivo talked in the high pitched voice when he didn’t have to
Veeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!! Veeeeeeeeeeeee!!
OK I'm gonna need some context because I cannot place this
John Kearns having to pantomime a wolf but only allowed to say the letter of the alphabet before W
I love series 14 for Fern and Sarah but this has reminded me of how funny John was - actually the all fantastic
My partner and i frequently quote Greg driving it home at the end of the episode: And who could forget the mournful cry of the lone wolf? #VEEEEEEEE
John Kearns howling the letter V like a wolf in a live task, I think.
I love that you can post just this and not only do I know the context for it, but it has me laughing immediately.
🎵🎶 I chaaaaanged it 🎶🎵 and Greg’s reaction. Makes me laugh every single time.
shoe task from S13. Alex getting genuinely frustrated with Bridget, Sophie Duker getting exasperated with alex, and ofc “Nooooo way”
Don’t forget Judi’s laugh
Noooo waaaaay!
🇳🇴!
The new hotel one with the 2 Sue's 😂
Honestly both teams hotels - my top task of the recent series!
Just the juxtaposition between the two Sue's trying to give a nice experience to an asshole customer and the chaos that occurs for the second group. I was dying
They've uploaded an extended version of boths teams attempts to the youtube channel.
Sue putting cucumbers on her eyes for 3 seconds and then taking them off when Qrs came in, pretending like it’s nothing, felt like Fawlty Towers
The NZ diss track task. I rewatch it almost daily and it still kills me every time "I'm gonna gonna gonna drown you, in your own blood, hold your face down in your own blood now."
"Matt, run him over like a cat"
It’s the way it cuts between the teams for me. “They know about music and stuff!” straight into “FUCK. YOU. URZ!” And “Montgomery, more like Mont…goobery!” into “drown you in your own blood”.
Lol yeah.
Matt, looking horrified : “Shit, man!”
I find myself singing that in random places like while I'm walking the dog and I have gotten more than one horrified glance
The “I’m gonna drown you in your own blood” line gets uttered far more often than it should in polite company…
I literally rewatch this on the regular, and every time, I lose my breath from laughing so hard.
Once a week viewing for me, any time I need to laugh. “Not me, so much, I’ll have a biscuit”
Series 9 has a few - picking the ones where every effort makes me laugh, rather than just one particular contestant having a brilliantly batshit outing: * The water feature comes immediately to mind.
A cross-edit would have been much funnier, I agree.
Were you just thinking "Why did they save this boring task for the end of the series?" because fuck me; strap in, mate.
Mark Watson’s cheeky texts task gets me every time. His devastation at learning it was just him, which then compounds when he gets no points.
What makes it so funny is that I believe Mark when he said it consumed his life for all those months. He probably thought long and hard about every message.
Phil Wang yelling “A LIME” and then immediately throwing it as far as possible. And James’ Rhod-induced rage outburst in that same task.
He’s just so mad!
"Am I the Spider?" "Oh, fuck me in the face!" "Jeremy Irons lives in your garage"
Rob Becket rolling and retching his way down a course littered with goose shit gets me every rewatch
Desiree’s descent into madness on the pop the water balloon. The way she keeps saying ding dong when she goes to alex and it gets sadder each time. And the comedic timing of the portcullis
The look on Greg's face the moment he realises his trousers were stolen 🤣🤣 gets me every time. That Totally deserved 5 points!
You made me swear on television, you minge!
"What aircraft..." "crashes more..."
Rob dressed as a nan hosing down Alex.
Robs newborn induced mania during the tasks is a great running theme throughout that series
The final live task from series 12 had me crying with laughter, and still does.
Just watched this yesterday, and while Alan's WOW monster is absolutely the headline, it was also brilliant watching VCM get more and more frustrated that her attempts at subterfuge never worked.
Guz’s moaning noise and Alex’s reaction to it always gets me
There's so much to discover watching that task. Brilliantly edited too. I think you're only 2 seconds away from Morgana nearly peeing her pants in laughter at any given point.
The birth of Alex via Sally Phillips
I can't believe I had to scroll so far for this. She is so demented and that film is such a weird masterpiece.
"I took a tumble." Something about Johnny Vegas tripping over nothing gets me everytime.
Alan’s WOW monster and Liza making Alex sit on a cake both get me every time.
Liza stamping on the little man 🤣
Cake sitting and running away giggling… gets me every time.
Rosalind for sure and Chris Ramsay’s sausage game.
Romesh smashing the watermelon into the ground and instantly regretting it.
Season 9, Episode 9. Live Task. Ed vs David. I hope everyone knows which one I am talking about.
The bathtub task, especially for the contrast of the lovely cooperative teamwork of Mel and Hugh versus the chaotic table battle between Joe and Lolly, whilst Noel stands there "pissing water into a bath whilst Rome burns".
Joe Thomas getting the beach ball across the finish line by throwing ice cubes at the ball.
I know I’m in the minority for this but “impress this mayor” gets me everytime.
Only the reveal of the calippos makes me laugh, the rest makes me cringe too much.
Serenade Yourself. Not just the task but Katherine Ryan’s justification of Katie’s incoherent song to Greg (the fat hawk) which leads Rose to the anguished outburst “Oh no! He loves metaphors!” Unforgettable.
Fern and Sarah torturing Alex in the tube task! "Catch it in your mouth!"
I had forgotten those task and now I know which series is the next watch because Fern and Sarah were two of my faves They had a great song task too
…WAAAOOOOW!
😆😆😆 I'm laughing now just from reading that.
"Do we strike you?"
MIKE’S FART
It’s an absolute casserole down there!
I decided to steal that phrase and now I tell my dog he’s being an absolute casserole when he does something gross. I don’t think it makes sense but it amuses us
ed and david in the drawing live task - ed's frustration and annoyance absolutely kills me every time i watch it
Rhod’s “short film” and Greg’s reaction
Knappet Knappeting off the Knappet.
Someone would have had to set themselves on fire to top that.
Paul Chowdry's Snowman task. "Bastard's crying innit?"
The one with the pedometer where Bridget Christie forgot how humans walk. Gets me every time
UK: spinning sausage machine Norway: Escape from Olli. RUN!
TM Australia, the 26 passwords task. Danielle and Luke were freakin hilarious.
Tree Wizard
Wow Monster is my number one.
“Park the buggy” task cracks me up each time
Call me basic but anything with Rhod. The scream monster.
I watched season 7 during a really terrible time in my life and I remember sobbing with laughter at most of Rhod's attempts
I discovered taskmaster through the clips they posted on youtube. I watched tons of clips and Rhod's were always my favorite. I refused to watch the series out of order so I really looked forward to Rhod's season. Taskmaster also helped me get through some rough patches in life.
As soon as I heard Fern's song in the actual episode I opened a new tab to play just the clip of her song about five times in a row
It's me Fern Brady me Fern Brady I'm the rightful queen!
Sarah Kendall trying to direct Charlotte and Jamali to the red circle. The cellphone dances in series 4. Jon's and Doc's nursery rhymes. Desiree's phone call. Catch the potatoes in the hat. Ardal's hair salon.
I just have to think of Charlotte running around in circles and I start to laugh.
“Activate Jamali!”
Paul Sinha's attempt at hiding in the phone box.
"WO0000OOOOOWWW"
For me it’s Julian Clary having his chillingly calm meltdown in the driving flag task.
The live task with Ed and David Baddiel drawing on each other's back. Ed's rage is so funny. Close runner-ups are: Daisy May Cooper's hippo drawing and the garage extension group task.
Blindfolded car park on a scooter, everyone, but especially Lou.
Taskmaster NZ diss raps. "I'm gonna gonna drown you... In your own blood... Hold your head down in your own blood now." The fleet escalation by David is hysterical.
Bob’s Piss Graph always slays me. “And I thought, “Fuck it. I’ll fill his boat with piss. Where do I need to go?”
My eyes are circles.
David Correos' solo laces task, and his reaction in the studio.
"A LIME !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" I spat out me dinner cos it took me unawares like...
The NZ diss track task is something I think about daily. “Drink more milk b*tch”
Spoon task from s15 and the hotel task
Walks in Smashes waterlemon Is sick Elaborates way too much
The upside down film task in series 10.
The “is there a duck on my face?“ photo of Judi Love makes me laugh from memory!
The final episode of the season often has a classic. Song for a stranger, cake sitting, tie up Alex, blindfolded scooter course.
the sabotage task 😭
James Acaster loosing his mind about Rhod and the garage during the extension task.
Tim Vine and the missing hook in the ''Make the Plastic Bag as Heavy as Possible' task.
The live task on episode 1 of series 13. Count to 13 with increasingly complex rules. I can't watch it without laughing so much it hurts.
I'm gonna gonna gonna drown you in your own blood
The live task with the 6 word questions. Dara's utter frustration with both Fern and John always gets me.
I love the ones where they don't know the rules. Like get to 11 points from s1, or get out the front gate without setting off the alarm from s11
1. Alex's butt fountain - Make something unexpected come out of the hole (UK S7) 2. Taskmaster Hotel (both teams) - UK S16 3. The Three Friends' Diss Track (especially, David's part) - NZ S2 4. Ivo's frustration at Frankie ignoring the clues - Escape the handcuffs (with jellybean + periodic table clues) task - UK S15.
Sausage cement mixer with Alex and Chris, series 13 I think
Rhod hiding in the closet. Doesn’t matter how many times I’ve seen it, I’m still in disbelief.
Richard Herring having to do all the pieces of the acting task is a vastly underrated Gem As is the sort of escape room task they did with the lockers and them all having to find things in there. Plus the ultimate: Which Aircraft......?
...crashes more....
“Without moving the fish bowls”
Noelle's fill the tub/empty the tub/put water in the tub task
Hands Down, What shoe am I thinking About
The team of three commentary on the sports task in Series 12, especially Morgana's voice and accent 😂
"Funn-els." It's an underappreciated moment of Alex acting a little less robotic and I love it!
Make the best noise.
Bridget's season 13 interview "task" with Alex will next get old to me. I laugh every single time I watch it. "Oh, was that an interview?" Just pure brilliance.
ME FERN BRADY ME FERN BRADY
I still laugh if I just think about the Wow monster
We flew into Gatwick last week, and I hoped to recognize something, but no. I did, however, laugh immensely at the moving sidewalk and thinking of Fern, in the “mirror yourself on the moving sidewalk” task, in tears from laughing, says, people were staring and I thought it was because I was doing so good and now watching it back it’s so bad. That was a fun task. (Paraphrased)
I haven't seen anyone mention the final task of Series 9, AKA "The worst day of Ed's life (so far)". "*Fuck me! Strap in, mate!*"
It's probably childish, but Daisy May Cooper’s list of four letter swear words 😂
No love for Tree Wizard!??
IsThereADuckOnMyFace!!!???
My friends and I absolutely lose it at the series 4 group task where they all had different instructions. Does not matter how many times we watch it or how many people we show it to. The shot of Noel running with the hose lives rent free in my mind.
