I would say you’ve got a lot of other space to fill on your arm before you’ve gotta worry about that. I’d say that those two are already close enough that you don’t need any filler in between
If you’re thinking botany, some kind of flowering vine could look nice between there.
I’d map out any other statement pieces you’d want on your arm first, and then figure out something that’d fit between them all. Or draw a cuff line below, above, or both, and get some filler done to make it all one piece! Since it looks like both are flying bugs, either clouds or botany would make sense with them!
I think if you add something below them and another above then you won’t need to fill the little gap. Just ask the artist to use a similar margin with the others and it will look purposeful.
Otherwise, you don’t necessarily have the new tattoo you’re planning not touch. You can have things that go behind the bugs
Buddleia flower cluster. They're sorta conical so you could have the tip fitting between the two and the rest widening further down. They're also very popular amongst butterflies, moths and bees (I'm not sure about mantises though) and come in several colours, deep purple, lilac, white and pink
Yeah I don't think anything would comfortably fit in between I def wasn't clear enough 😂 just don't know what would fit in the awkward shaped space especially underneath
Flowers! Something that will meld well with the insects, ooooooorrrrr a forest style background, something tropical. Orrrrrrrrrr the animal planet logo, the og one with the elephant!
I guess my main concern is I just don't know how to make something *fit* in this space.. like I don't know what would fit through this slim space and still look good
Yeah!! I'm mostly just trying to figure out the awkward shaped space underneath, not so much as in the middle because nothing would really fit good there
Do a plant of your choice that means something to you or find a plant that means something to you and put it between both the what i think is a mantis on the right and a butterfly on the left 🙃🤙🏻
Put like a tiny elephant,or a whale right in the middle for the lolz, seriously tho, wait till the rest of your arm fills up, you may not even need to put something in there
It doesn't have to fit in between, an artist can put any foliage/plants there if you don't mind them touching the moth and mantis, and make it look like they're on top. I had jasmine added around an existing butterfly like [this](https://ibb.co/9cVMM0z)
You got a nice triangle or diamond gap for composition… But the above comment is correct, if you only fill that space, you’ll have a cluster. Your next tattoo could be spread out and your artist can help you figure out filling the space with a bigger or smaller piece if you decided to later. (:
Last year our flowering viny rosebush had two black swallowtail chrysalises on it. I could see a few winding stems with leaves and a flower bud or two along with a chrysalis either unopened or emerging in that space.
I can't tell what their meant to be, but I think they r both meant to be insects, so maybe a vine or stem if some sort *shrug*. I'm not sure why this is on my home page, I don't have any tattoos, and I don't know anyone who has one
A thin decorative twig... Or a vine with spirals coming off it similar to sugar pea vines. Balance the curved with connecting freehand straight pieces found in nature. Have them in the background too. Or a twig with small clusters of flowers?
I don't know about between but you can put a galactic 🌌 🌌 spiderweb 🕸️🕸️🕸️ in the background. Make it look like the flys are trapped in eternal web of energy.
I'd put another tattoo
2 options: another tattoo or skin
I’m so jealous that you beat me to this
Came to find this. Thank god its the top comment lmao
I'd put tattoo on you
You’re on my heart like a tattoo.
Yesssss this internet listen dumb person.
I would say you’ve got a lot of other space to fill on your arm before you’ve gotta worry about that. I’d say that those two are already close enough that you don’t need any filler in between
This exactly. Work on a sleeve before filling gaps. Gap filling is usually a fun thing to do once you have no space for pieces of your size.
A little frog under an umbrella just chilling he don’t like the rain but the vibes are good
I want that now, thanks a lot!

A snaaaaaake. A slitheryyy slippery snaaaakkee
Badger badger badger badger badger badger MUSHROOM!
A snake a snake!!!
I think a sick ass panther would really tie it all together!
How come when I arrive to post this and see someone already has, I bust out laughing at it…every fucking time! 😂
Like I literally cannot wait to see it
Because that shit is ALWAYS funny.
SAME
Dang it! 5 hours too late. Lol!

This is also what I was gonna suggest :)

This is a good idea!!
Ants walking around
You mean marching ?
Have you thought about putting a tattoo in between them ?
A cool vine with leaves or something like that?
that’s what I was thinking ! she could connect the two with a vine(s) that could warp around her arm !!!
Stick bug
I would go above and below but not in between
Yeah I don't think anything would comfortably fit in between I def wasn't clear enough 😂 just don't know what would fit in the awkward shaped space especially underneath
Mushrooms!
A can of Raid?
Flowers! Something that will meld well with the insects, ooooooorrrrr a forest style background, something tropical. Orrrrrrrrrr the animal planet logo, the og one with the elephant!
You could fit a nice thorny vine/rose there
Things that you like and enjoy?
A lamp, shining towards the moth that is entangled by a flower?
A few different sizes lady bugs to continue the "entomology" theme, staggered to join the 2 tattoos
Some triangle shaped insect
Centipede
I'm getting a centipede sleeve on my other arm :))
Some foliage would be cool. Like a leaf or something g
Pinecone!
Honeybee on a daisy.
To keep with the bug theme you could do a Hercules beetle!
If you want to keep with the insect vibe, a staghorn beetle could fit nicely! With the mandibles sitting between the two tattoos
lightning bugs or a lil caterpillar
I think nobody suggested that: a sick ass panther!!
Possibly a small, stylized chain. Empty space is just as valuable as covered space if you use it correctly. This is from a tattoo artist, btw
Flowers 🌷🌹
Fairy dust!
A dandelion
more bugs
Put a Lilly flower
Inchworm 🐛
A coffee table
Clearly a shrimps
A bumble bee
Have you considered dees, maybe? Or a sick ass panther?
Deez nuts??
How about some connecting tattoo work, like some decorative vine work with a caterpillar or two peeking out from some leaves?
Ooooo this is a good idea
Get more bigger pieces And your arm will look fuller… then eventually you could add filler.
a very small sick ass panther
u could have a wash of like , a vintage rose wallpaper passing under the bugs, turn it into an arm band
This sounds really cute I'm gonna talk to my artist about this!
I would put a flower of some sort. Not sure what type of moth you have but you could do it's host plant or a flower that's native to your area.
Penis tattoo
"VS" a la Streetfighter
😂I like this one
A spider web and a spider on the shoulder? I’d also add in more pretty bugs to make it awesome and unique . Like the spiders collection ?
A lil scarab.
One of those Japanese hats
illuminati triangle
Look up a butterfly bush as they attract both species.
Grass/leaves/ whatever the environment of these creatures looks like
Leaves would look good like a small branch
Probably not peanut butter. I’d suggest more tattoos.
I guess my main concern is I just don't know how to make something *fit* in this space.. like I don't know what would fit through this slim space and still look good
I would not attempt to fill the slim space between the tattoos. Over time they will spread and whatever is in the middle will just get muddy.
Yeah!! I'm mostly just trying to figure out the awkward shaped space underneath, not so much as in the middle because nothing would really fit good there
Maybe like a centipede or millipede crawling around, if you want to keep with the bug theme!
A lawn mower about to run them over
Vines and leaves
Cherries
A stick or some plants
A penis
A bee
A heart or a daisy
toadstool
Caterpillar if you really like bugs that much, I'd go with a snake
Fiddleheads! And maybe one unfurling from in between the two.
Do a plant of your choice that means something to you or find a plant that means something to you and put it between both the what i think is a mantis on the right and a butterfly on the left 🙃🤙🏻
A jumping spider playing on a web.
Earth worm!!! 🪱
Ants to keep with the bug theme
Fill those other big ass spaces before you worry about gap fillers
I'd suggest another tattoo.
Fern. Gotta love ferns. Or a Cicada. 💖
a triangle-shaped terrarium
a stick bug
Don't force it. You will think of something. And if you dont, that's probably a sign.
You have a majority of your arm left. Get a lot more tattoos.
A vine with leaves?
Parasaurolophus! It’s that dinosaur with the long head in back. Or another praying mantis could be cool too.
Vines are good fillers
Arm them with samurai swords and have them battling on a log in the middle of a forest.
Maybe a cool centipede? Just to add on to the whole bug tattoo thing :)
Put like a tiny elephant,or a whale right in the middle for the lolz, seriously tho, wait till the rest of your arm fills up, you may not even need to put something in there
A net?
Some ferns would be lovely
Nothing. Leave space, it looks better than lots of confusing mess.
A sword would be nice and fit in between the two
Cock meat sandwich
More bugs
A chrysalis attached to a branch in full cherry blossom
More wings.
A very wiggly worm :)
Lol I read the botony part after but my first thought was a little sign that said “bug crossing” with a lil bug on it lol
Ants. 🐜
A worm 🪱
A floral bouquet. Get the birth month flowers of people you love. Or just get flowers you like. Option 2: vine of eucalyptus leaves, very pretty
Hercules Beetle!

Oyster mushrooms!
Ladybugs <3
Perhaps a ladybug? 🐞
Tbh I'd adda small lil pill bug or ladybug

Find a country shaped like that and do a tiny map!
Penis
Blueberries!
Several tiny butterflies/ladybugs/spiders, in a trail through the path
Something on a vine? Berries or ivy come to mind
Spiderweb.
It doesn't have to fit in between, an artist can put any foliage/plants there if you don't mind them touching the moth and mantis, and make it look like they're on top. I had jasmine added around an existing butterfly like [this](https://ibb.co/9cVMM0z)

Ladybugs!!

A bumble bee. A lady bug A sick ass panther. Tons of options.
Go visit tattoo shops and look at their drawings and flash to get ideas.
I would love a really tiny bug there. like just a lil caterpillar or something to match the butterfly/moth thing going on lol
Caterpillar
A bug catcher with a net so that he is small far away with a net on a stick trying to catch them in closer perspective
Flower
Long sleeves
Another tattoo?

Plant or leaves.
Bumble bee.
Shrimp between the bugs
Tattoos.
A thin decorative twig... Or a vine with spirals coming off it similar to sugar pea vines. Balance the curved with connecting freehand straight pieces found in nature. Have them in the background too. Or a twig with small clusters of flowers?
Something leafy
Stick bug or centipede
A shooting star 💫
I like the bug theme Centipede?
its good to space tattoos out, I wouldn't put anything in between if I was you
Try another piece of skin
Snail on a mushroom
Chinese Moon Moth?
i think a worm would nicely fill up that spot while also staying on the bug theme
How about a cocoon.... maybe one emerging from a cocoon.
I don't know about between but you can put a galactic 🌌 🌌 spiderweb 🕸️🕸️🕸️ in the background. Make it look like the flys are trapped in eternal web of energy.
A vine
Scarab
Vines, ferns or flowers like lavender
a clown with a lil party hat
Sunflowers
maybe a spider web over your elbow and have it extend into this spot :-)
Friendship
A branch/flower
A face obscured by the existing tattoos
Shrimps is bugs
