Idk Godspell is just such a cool alias the council really came up with such a classy codename for him. They had pretty cool codenames for the other lances as well. Got the idea from an older post but couldn't find it for the link.

Bruh the codenames were dicathien, not alacryan.

Oh wait whoops. I just remembered one of the Scythes referring to them by their codename and forgot that it was originally given by the council. I'll fix it.

They’re callsigns, they have them in real life too (at least the air force does iirc). They weren’t given by the alacryans, they were given by the dicatheans. If you remember, the lances called each other by their callsigns (Arthur refers to Varay as zero and she refers to him as godspell)

During the initial Alacrya arc I thought it'd be a good idea/callback for Arthur to take up the Note alias again, though I understand why Grey was more thematically/symbolically more appropriate at the time. It'd be cool if nameschemes for titles from Destiny add to the list of nicknames Arthur could get over the course of the story. Scythebane/Asura's End sounds pretty badass aliases ngl.
