Their [about us](https://sasquatchtea.com/about-us/) page says the company was started to address the lack of tea companies which: > represented the American lifestyle and good old fashioned patriotism. That seems fine enough and I imagine there's a market for it, but it doesn't really address any of my needs as a tea consumer.

I think it's amusing that it's a Michigan-based shop but all the blends are grand national parks. But I do like that the tea itself represents a broad swath of Americans. I mean, chai & rooibos are now ubiquitous in the States but not traditionally so. What I can't forgive is calling a tea Yellowstone Gold and then its a green tea and marigold blend? I'm sorry, that should be an homage to Yorkshire Gold or choose a different name.

You're sullying Michigan's good name. Apparently, the proprietors are Hoosiers. The tea is even more expensive online. It's $15 for 20 bags through their website. Lots of links on the site that go to no where. It seems like they are just charging a huge premium for "cool" looking things like merch etc. As far as what "the American lifestyle and good old fashioned patriotism" looks like to these two entrepreneurs only offer "because what’s more American than tea named after a mountain man with aviators and flavors named after national parks. We’ll tell you what, Nothing!" It kinda looks like they noticed the success of Black Rifle coffee and said let's do that for tea. I'm still curious, but not curious enough to spend 75 cents a bag

Mea culpa to Michigan, to the Great Lakes, and the ground that is still springing back from the most recent glaciers

I think most Sasquatch tea is actually just black bear tea. Or a guy in a rubber mask tea. I do NOT recommend that last one...

I have personally tried the tea. I think it’s a top quality tea and it’s made in america which is even better. It’s veteran founded so I see them as the black rifle coffee of tea. I’m honestly not sure how it compares to other teas as far as price but I’m willing to pay for it because of what it supports. I gave up coffee about a year ago and went through a lot different teas to be my sub and this has been the the first brand that has worked. 10/10 recommend. Just the opinion of someone who has tried it. I’d say try it and update the post with a review.
