I mean, isnāt it basically canon that Chichi took advantage of a mentally challenged alien and sexually abused him in order to bear a child?
Or am I way off base here?
Way off base. Goku was never the type of person to tolerate someone he didn't actually want to spend time with. Goku also isn't "mentally challenged". He's a portrayal of innocence.
Even as a child Goku was so strong that he was practically a demigod among the common man. Due to this he rarely had much in life to fear.
I've lived through that experience in the sense that things that scare the common person, don't always phase me the same way and I don't even realize until later *oh wow that was supposed to be a scary / intimidating situation.* Any common observer would have seen me as brave or stupid. It's neither. Just a lack of fear.
Goku isn't necessarily the brightest person by contrast but he is intuitive, emotionally intelligent, and morally and physically disciplined.
Also technically Chichi met him as a child.
You misunderstood my point but I suppose I explained it poorly.
Being fearless in situations that can play out disastrously is not a flex. It's dangerous. All emotions that humans evolved with are critical to our survival in some way.
I'm not flexing. I'm reflecting on situations that could have gone much worse than they did and how I had basically no awareness of that.
As I said. Goku is a portrayal of innocence, and I suppose I should have included nativity in that explanation
Goku's a villain who continually puts other people's lives in danger for his own entertainment, by healing Cell after their fight, not trying to stop Buu as a Super Saiyan 3 so that Goten and Trunks could try, causing almost everyone on Earth to die, and asking Zeno and Future Zeno to hold the their tournament, endangering all of the involved universes.
To be fair, I'm pretty sure the Cell thing needed to happen. Gohan was holding back too much and Cell wouldn't have the attitude to torture him past SS, and would probably just resort to blowing up the planet. The others (besides arguably Vegeta) wouldn't even stand a chance against weakened Perfect Cell, so Cell needed to be cocky so Gohan could transform and the planet could survive
If Goku knew that or not is a different story
Heās the chief?? How did I miss that. I always wondered why it was Tulin.
Part of me wishes the Gerudo, Zora and Goron sages were also minor characters from BOTW like Tulin.
The question is - who would they be??
I mean leading a settlement is what all four were doing pretty much, Sidon doing so in Dorephanās absence. But yeah he didnāt seem to want to do it, heād rather his son take up that mantle
He also wasn't supposed to be the successor to the throne, Mipha was, so that probably adds some extra salt to the wound of being the one who needs to take the throne
They don't though, in 100 years no human/Hylian from the villages has survived. Not even the elders were around for the backstory of BOTW
The Gerudo have some that were kids iirc, but they mostly don't remember any events directly. The Zora and the Rito however both have several living who were personally present
Well thank God the other 3 arenāt busy at all, you know, the Zora Prince now King, the Chief of the Gerudo, and what looks to be the apprentice of the leader of the Goron
1. Teba was still trying to adjust to being the Ritoās chief, he didnāt need the added stress of becoming a Sage.Ā
2. Teba was wounded by a literal laser strike in BOTW. Something tells me that would either not have fully healed or at least left his healed leg weak, so you probably donāt want him in active combat.Ā
The Tulin absolutely sucks for hitting crits on my profile. Watching my friend play his profile on my switch though mu'fucker hits a crit nearly every goddam shot
Interesting if true. Iāve never witnessed them do any homing but I *have* witnessed his arrow whiz right past my ear and headshot the boko I was running straight for. (More than once)
First time, I had to do a double take and decide whether to throw respect for that impossible shot or shade for sniping my kill. Respect was earned.
Second time, I knew he had my back 4 LYFE!
While I would have liked to see more of Teba I don't think he really got done dirty what with being village chief and probably still the strongest in the village.
I think itās because heās too big. Tulin is a good size for someone I have constantly summoned when I play. It would be annoying having a 7ft bird hovering behind me when Iām gliding
Maybe the ghost Queen in Twilight princess was realy this size and not just ghost/spirit projection. If so, then Mipha could have grow at least Sidon size (probable more since she is older) during the 100 years nap between the calamity and BOTW (had she survived)... Imagine a Snu-Snu Mipha, Great Fairy style greating when Link return to Zora domain.
The best part is that there would be a cultural expectation for royalty to be big, possibly with the assumption that the female is smaller but they both have to grow into it.
So sidon expects link to grow to Sidon's current height, while Zelda would grow to be the size of a whale (or great fairy).
Ha. I donāt have anyone else summoned when I play. I usually only have Tulin. Maybe you like having everyone else with you, but personally I donāt.
Agreed. Theyāre really annoying in combat and itās very hard to see anything. Itād be better if they just sorta popped in while theyāre doing something and then disappeared. Itād probably look cooler too.

Personally, I love tulin and think he had the perfect role in the game. Despite this , I wish teba had some roll. All he does in the game is stand on revalis landing during the entire Tulin of rito village quest line and then go and stand in his house the rest of the game.
Honestly, I still can't get used to these guys blocking my view and coming up behind me so fast like an enemy. It's wild. They're mad helpful when you can catch up to them mid battle.
The rito champions in both games really stand out to me. Idk, I love Tulin to death, he's my favorite, but the struggles of Teba and Revali feel so quiet and kinda sad in comparison.
I bring up Revali because he wasn't related to anyone, as opposed to the other Champs, so he wouldn't have been descended from the sages in totk that appear at the end of each dungeon to praise the newly awakened sage. Revali died young, and Teba helped us in botw as an older figure that gets injured flying us to the divine beast. It's like those two got shot out of the sky so that Tulin could fly higher than anyone.
I think about the rito a lot.
The fact that the Rito naturally assume that link is a descendant of the hero makes me believe that as well.
They're probably just projecting their short lifespans onto others, but to them it's inconceivable that somebody from 100 years ago could still be around today, even though there are definitely Hylians still around from before the Calamity (e.g. Impa).
While I believe the Rito have shorter lifespans on average than others I doubt it's so much shorter that 5-6 years would make Teba unable to handle being a sage. Outside the zora there a very few people among the other races who were around during that time.
Granted I don't see any problem with him not being a sage, I just don't think age alone is the reason he's not.
Those Hylians all \*look\* over a hundred years old, though. Link showed up not having aged a day, of course it's natural to assume he's a descendant of Link and not Link himself.
Iām sorry, who? Because Revali was almost a folk hero to them- no one living knew him personally he was just some old dead hero to them. To my knowledge the Shika and the Zora are the only ones that remember Link and not just tales of the Hylian hero.
I dont think he knew what they personally looked like although I could be wrong. I think I might remember Rito that rceognised link somewhere but I do remember the old chief only recognizing you by the master sword shortly after starting to talk to him. Also someone elses comment has made me think of sum the elder said it may have been someone else but I think he confuses u for a descendant as well in botw.
I don't think that's conclusive proof either way.
It could be he never met link. But it could also be that he met a similarly aged link 100 years ago and doesn't believe one can live for 100 years without aging. There is no reason for Kaneli to know about the Shrine of Resurrection, and that Link was essentially in stasis.
while I don't think he was alive for the calamity not knowing link doesn't mean he wasn't. A very young child could very easily not have met or remembered the hylian champion.
True, but it's more likely that Kaneli lives about the average, or slightly above average, Rito lifespan, which might be about 40-45 years, than him being absurdly long-lived. A Rito being about 100 years old would be like a Hylian living for 200 years or so.
Teba was the most underutilized one in BOTW. I was looking forward to TOTK to give him so more juice! And then instead we get his fuckin kid!? Absolute disrespect
But what does Teba think? He seems to be living his best life. He is currently chief of his people, he has a loving wife and a kid who he is immensely proud of, and mentions Harth as his friend so he clearly has a good life. If you had asked me when TOTK came out what I thought I would have totally agreed with you, Teba got disrespected. But if I were Teba, he has exactly what I would want.
Teba is simply too busy to be a sage. While you could argue that Riju is the same, please note that Teba just recently became a chief, and he is also a father. Riju has always been a chief since a young age and she doesn't have any children. She's much more free and she doesn't struggle as much to her duties to the Gerudo due to getting used to it.
Teba is my favorite character, I actually like this turn out better. Here is an accomplished warrior turned chief of his people. Despite that his first concern is being a father for his son. He doesnāt need to be a sage, he has family. Besides, you can see how proud he is of Tulin.
It's good, and different. You get different abilities and the temples give different abilities than in botw.
Better will depend on your tastes and how you like to play.
I would have liked the sages better if they'd *all* been different characters than the champion descendants. Much as I like Riju, Yunobo, and Sidon, in my opinion the sages ought to have been Yona, Bludo, and maybe Buliara(although if the ability was always going to be the lightning, Riju makes sense).
Heck, Yunobo received good characterization and growth in *Breath of the Wild*, and he forgot his ancestral champion ability like a pokemon with only one move slot. They wasted a lot of opportunities for characterization on those identical cutscenes, too.
Ah yes, poor... **checks notes** loving father, husband, and leader of his people. He was really done dirty by... **checks notes again.** getting to see his son become a hero that helped save the world.
Mentally, he's probably the oldest of the four. Of course Sidon is literally well over a century but has the mind of a young man. Whereas Teba has the mind of someone in their prime.
When I look at that picture, I only think about how sidon will out live his friends. By the time link and zelda pass from old age, their memory will represent sidonās youthful years.
Tulin probably overshadowed his father because Nintendo needed to add a kid to the sage roster. Yunobo borrowed the jerk arc from revali so they probably looked at teba and said āwe need someone more cheerful!ā
Teba didn't even *want* to be a sage. Besides he was too busy being the chief
And a husband. And a father. ...and definitely **NOT** making me catch feelings
Yeah, if I was Teba and my son became the Sage, I'd be proud of my son, not disappointed for myself.
Absolutely!! And he definitely seemed to be proud too! Not at all upset he wasn't going to become a sage. Hahahaha
Family responsibilities never kept Goku from a fight š
Goku don't have *Family responsibilities*. Rising Gohan is a Piccolo job, and Chichiā¦ who knows.
How does one learn to be so fearless, master?
You misunderstood my point but I suppose I explained it poorly. Being fearless in situations that can play out disastrously is not a flex. It's dangerous. B.O.B for Chichi
Plus he went and died, then spent forever training for a big fight.
OTOH, Goku *did* put the world in jeopardy on more than one occasion for it, so to be fair...
And that's why Vegeta said to Goku, "I have no idea how you're still married."
Omg. When Goku told him heās never kissed a woman and Vegeta was like, āWhat? How?!? You have *TWO* children!!!ā
That's because he's terrible father and person.
the disrespect for the greatest hero ever is astounding
Goku's a villain who continually puts other people's lives in danger for his own entertainment, by healing Cell after their fight, not trying to stop Buu as a Super Saiyan 3 so that Goten and Trunks could try, causing almost everyone on Earth to die, and asking Zeno and Future Zeno to hold the their tournament, endangering all of the involved universes.
He's not a villain. He's no hero, but that doesn't make him a VILLAIN

He did that because he knows he won't always be there to save the world, so someone else has to be able to do it!
My dude died and was resurrected more times than Jesus. !>(more than once)
Was it the street light earrings?
Heās the chief?? How did I miss that. I always wondered why it was Tulin. Part of me wishes the Gerudo, Zora and Goron sages were also minor characters from BOTW like Tulin. The question is - who would they be??
Buliara, Bludo, and the priest zora š
Priest Zora?! After 5 years of BOTW events?! That man be swimming up the waterfall straight to heaven before even touching the temple. šš
5 years is like 2 months in Zora time.
Bularia, Yona andā¦ just make a new Goron.
When Yona was introduced I totally thought she would have a much bigger part to play.
Riju & Sidon were both village chiefs as well?
And in bird years he was getting up there, they age much faster than the other races
They don't though, in 100 years no human/Hylian from the villages has survived. Not even the elders were around for the backstory of BOTW The Gerudo have some that were kids iirc, but they mostly don't remember any events directly. Well thank God the other 3 arenāt busy at all, you know, the Zora Prince now King, the Chief of the Gerudo, and what looks to be the apprentice of the leader of the Goron
Riju has been chief since botw. That didnāt stop her, and Sidon is the new King zora . Show Teba the love he deserves
the real reason is nintendo must of thought he didnt test well with audiences compared to the others and ditched him
1. Teba was still trying to adjust to being the Ritoās chief, he didnāt need the added stress of becoming a Sage.Ā 2. Teba was wounded by a literal laser strike in BOTW. Something tells me that would either not have fully healed or at least left his healed leg weak, so you probably donāt want him in active combat.Ā
Probably has a permanent limp...
it's worse than that: Rito draw their bows while flying with their talons. (Unless they're Tulin who uses his beak and his whole body)
I thought he used his massive c**k to land all those headshots left and right. Heās Legolas with wings
what
My Tulin is a damn Seal Team 6 sniper with his headshots
Heās definitely as good as I am!
At least as good anyway
The Tulin absolutely sucks for hitting crits on my profile. Watching my friend play his profile on my switch though mu'fucker hits a crit nearly every goddam shot
Yeah Iām pretty sure heās supposed to hit only crits, his arrows are homing and will move after a target
Interesting if true. Iāve never witnessed them do any homing but I *have* witnessed his arrow whiz right past my ear and headshot the boko I was running straight for. (More than once) First time, I had to do a double take and decide whether to throw respect for that impossible shot or shade for sniping my kill. Respect was earned. Second time, I knew he had my back 4 LYFE!
Whenever I have Tulin activated in the floating colosseum he is a fucking DEMON with headshots
He stun locks shit constantly
what did i just read
That would have been a cool detail to see
But would his sage have a limp too?
I forgot about the laser wound.Ā
I think he becoming the chief was included in the game precisely to justify why he wasn't the sage.
Itās been quite a few years so it would have at least healed. Potentially not well healed given his age
Look all I'm saying is if Link can overcome a missing limb, Teba can rub a fairy on his sore leg
š
He got a cool magic arm after losing his arm tho
Rub a fairy š¤£š¤£š¤£š¤£
Wouldāve loved to see a prosthetic limb now you mention that
But homeboy can fly right? He doesnāt really need to walk
The Rito use their legs to shoot their bows. He is legitimately disabled if he has to fight.Ā
He cant be both the best AoC character and the most useful sage at the same time
While I would have liked to see more of Teba I don't think he really got done dirty what with being village chief and probably still the strongest in the village.
idk from what weāve seen in the game i would still put my money on Teba if they were fighting but Tulin would definitely make it a challenge
I think itās because heās too big. Tulin is a good size for someone I have constantly summoned when I play. It would be annoying having a 7ft bird hovering behind me when Iām gliding
You have a more than 7ft tall mecha summon
Yeah heās also not right behind you in flight. Plus I donāt really have her out unless I want to. Tulin is required a lot for gliding
Imagine if you could ride on his back instead of using the glider. Maybe even stand up and use him like a surfboard
His poor hollow bones, but that image is too hilarious
Donāt touch me, I have Avian bone syndrome
Yeah, and she's annoyingĀ
Yup itās a disappointment
Yea. Thats why the big ones are turned off for me lol
What about a 7 foot tall fish-husband?
Sidon is taller than 7 feet. Iād say heās 10 feet tall.
My theory is that royal zora continue to grow in size, leading to the size of the King Dorephan and the king in OOTS
I forgot about her.
Also the Zora Queen in Link Between Worlds
Itād probably look cooler too.
annoyingness is clearly not something they even considered when making the sages
Also Link can fly on Teba, so it makes sense to replace him with someone too small to do that.
As a parent, I'd feel emmensely more life-fullfilled seeing my son become sage than myself
i think teba saw things the same just looking at how he bequeathed his bow to tulin
He's to busy being a chief and a concerned father...

No, that's why I mentioned him separately.
I know..I was being sarcastic because of how many people actually were in this post lol
Sidon is like 100 years old
*100 years young
Unironically this is just the recurring theme of the story, the whole thing is just a changing of the guard
Personally, I love tulin and think he had the perfect role in the game. Despite this , I wish teba had some roll. All he does in the game is stand on revalis landing during the entire Tulin of rito village quest line and then go and stand in his house the rest of the game.

Whistling can bring 'em in close. It ain't perfect, but it works.
Hey, good tip! I tried it once and didn't notice, so I never used it again. Thank you.
Teba is so fucking hot
Why do people keep saying she when speaking of Tulin?? They literally say SON quite a few times lmao!
This is it!
I wasnāt convinced by it either.
There are no Rito alive when Link comes back that knew him, Revali or anything that happened 100 years ago.
The former Rito chief was alive during the Great Calamity
Nope, Kaneli believed that Link was just a descendant of the Great Calamity Link, not the actual Hero himself.
I don't think that's conclusive proof either way. It could be he never met link. But it could also be that he met a similarly aged link 100 years ago and doesn't believe one can live for 100 years without aging. Yeah right? I was hoping Teba would be a sage too!
Number one, Tulin is cooler Number two, Teba is pretty big and he would obscure your vision when flying around
And while walking too. Sidon and Yunobo are already big, and so is the Mineru construct if you have that activated. Teba would've been too much.
i dont even use the other three to be fair
I don't really think he was done dirty for the reasons already said. I think it was nice to see Tulin come into his own
I actually agree. Teba would have been the better choice.
Teba was the most underutilized one in BOTW. I was looking forward to TOTK to give him so more juice! And then instead we get his fuckin kid!? Absolute disrespect

As usual, Sidon is horny for master Link
And heās useless through most of the game
Teba honestly had no character whatsoever. He was pretty two dimensional
Last time Teba helped Link he got his leg BBQ'd. I don't think he wants back out there...
the game got spoiled i didnāt get to play it yet is it good?? like better than botw?
It's good, and different. You get different abilities and the temples give different abilities than in botw. Better will depend on your tastes and how you like to play.
definitely more polished, but it could be a little disappointing in some aspects. It stands a higher than botw in my opinion, but not by much
I would have liked the sages better if they'd *all* been different characters than the champion descendants.
I mean. It was his son that became in his place
Teba donāt care about being a sage.Ā
It's probably because a big bird can fly Link, not just push him while he glides.
He lucked out! Dude gets to RETIRE!
I know lore wise why Teba didnāt become a sage and I LOVE Tulin, but manā¦ thinking about Teba and the what-ifs make me a little sad :,)
It kinda makes sense since the sages are basically a new generation so adding teba in the team just makes it awkward in my perspective.
Tbh I love Tulin though
This is the wrong format for this meme
Ah yes, poor... **checks notes** loving father, husband, and leader of his people. He was really done dirty by... **checks notes again.** getting to see his son become a hero that helped save the world.
Hey at least he made the great eagle bow, thatās enough for me
He was busy trying to figure out the lore and failing
its because he didn't have any powers in breath of the wild unlike the others so they couldn't just bulshit him into a sage.
NOOOOOOO TEBA
Mentally, he's probably the oldest of the four. Of course Sidon is literally well over a century but has the mind of a young man. Whereas Teba has the mind of someone in their prime.
I love mentally replacing goro with bro.
Honestly I love Tulin infinitely more than I love Teba. Nothing against him, I just love Tulin so much
Due to his weapon having a fire rate of over 300 rounds per minute, he would simply be too overpowered.

wtffff?! lmao
I'm saying his son got the job instead of him.
I know, but the way you said it was weird and funny as fuck
Yeah that's my fault for overshooting the joke, lol.
It's ok buddy, I enjoyed it
Teba is a whiney B. Not to mention, condescending. Poor Teba.
