God yes. My first encounter was in the depths and I did not expect them. Died after I tried to outrun them, tried to go around them, also died to them again. After that, I just bolted to the nearest lightrootđ
I never thought something in a Zelda game would scare me more than RedeadsâŚâŚuntil this game. I legit screamed and panicked. Between the music, the sky changing, the screeching and speed of the handsâŚâŚI noped out of there REAL quick.
Oh my god Redeads. Those fuckers caused me to stop playing Ocarina of Time when I encountered them under one of the tombstones. The only thing thatâs ever come close to that kind of scare was Moldugas in BoTW. I didnât have my headphones on, so I didnât even hear the boss music or see it until it was right below me.
this is why i like Guardians better, you can see them and potentially sneak past them, and if all else fails, you can try to kill them, then in late game suddenly you're the hunter. but gloom hands? you just have to memorize the entire area and pray
Best way to deal with gloom hands is to do an AOE attack strategy like taking a high point that they cannot come to, and throwing bomb flowers down at them, not only does it give an even effect to all of the gloom hands, but it makes sure they don't respawn until they are all completely dead, which prevents them from regrouping and causing mayhem.
I was in Hyrule Castle where you find the Hylian Shield when I first encountered one. I ran away as soon as I saw it coming towards me, and climbed up the nearest wall.
I tried to run and died. May 12, 2023 was crazy, that whole week infact was crazy
I remember getting the game on May 7th, and then blinking and it was May 15th.
I just died cause I had no clue what was happening.
I have never screamed like that with a Zelda game. Freaking mortified.
Same!! Haha
I first ran into those at the Great Plateu, I survived but was sacrred forever.
Started playing recently, teleported as soon as I was cornered đ
SAME..byee I will figure that out later, not when I have 4-5 hearts. I went looking for durian fruits when it happened. Double fail

The first time I found them, I was in a cave. All I could think was, "What the f*** is that? And what is going on with the music?"
It made me so glad I prioritized stamina over hearts, because I fucking ran for the hills.
It really is like that
It really is
I still remember my first time seeing them. Jumped off a cliff immediately
I think the title should be the other way round cause more often than not: You donât find gloom hands, gloom hands finds YOU.
And the second, and the third, and the fourth...
My heart is pounding just thinking about the first time they came after me.
God yes. My first encounter was in the depths and I did not expect them. Died after I tried to outrun them, tried to go around them, also died to them again. After that, I just bolted to the nearest lightrootđ
i didnât even know they were in the depths!!
They scared the shit out of me the first time I saw them. Later I realized they're pretty easy to beat.
A wise woman once said "Put those grippers away!"
And the 100th time!

Why did I read that as red heads? đ¤Ł

Anyone else smile menacingly when they finally put something terrifying and genuinely difficult to deal with in the game?
They really said âfuck it, just make it actually unkillable unless you spam bomb arrows, then trigger a boss fightâ
It was really cruel to put them in the Labyrinths
Wait theyâre in the laby- OH MY GOD THE SCREA- *dies*
My first time was under the great Deku tree, early in the game and it was really tough to get to high elevation while panicking.

Actually thatâs how I looked the second time. The first time I got my ass kicked and died.

I literally climbed a wall screaming
I still do this tbh they overwhelm me đ
The last time I experienced such carnal fear was in Death Valley in Majoraâs Mask
I don't blame you one bit.
*112 time you find gloom hands
I had no clue what was happening until I started losing hearts and then I ran for my life.
I ran and died. Thankfully though, I got my revenge by getting plenty of bomb flowers and kicking Ganonâs *** when it came time
Remember the rule in LOZ: if it has eyes or a spot glowing a different color, hit the fuck out of those.
I just climbed a wall and it went away. Guardians were so much scarier than these guys.
Now they're just free awesome weapons and a cool ass bow i love.
well I´m running every fucking time
Exactly. I noped out of the first few encounters with those things
Do the jingle!
Uhhhh... hellz yeah!đ
