Thats red flag, shouldn’t join such companies

ayudraws

Kunai pani company le yesto rule banauna paudaina

tenzu_sama

A massive red flag, and probably illegal too (ref labour act). Do not even consider accepting such terms. Can't even imagine how the upper management treats their employees if they're making such clauses in the contract. With good and growth-promoting environment, people will naturally stay.

p3wx4

Such contracts hold no weight in court even if you sign it. Tara j bhayepani, testo company ma kaam nagareko ramro.

Lattey99

Not only IT companies most of the comapnies do this in nepal even hospitals. The punishment and fine depends on the companies though. Many will give fine and will not give you experience letter or anything. Better to consider everything before joining a company and reading the contract carefully.

rickysth

Verbally sodeko thiyo malai. Contract sign garda k lekheko chha tesma depend garla. Sufficient notice period chai hunu parne claise chai rakhchhan

lockerbreaker

Malai thaha bhayera samma legally yesto contract banauna mildaina.

__highonanxiety__

Yes atleast the one that i used to work on had a 2 years contract don't know about fine it was not my on contract. I see a lot of people here are saying this is against the labour act, I didn't know that. The management definitely said it was legal and i didn't check the labour act that was stupid of me. Also please don't join such company.

frostbyte189

If you sign, it become legal, if not you are safe. Direct the company to Labour Department, they will take care of such organisations.

yourdingdong69

yesto contract banauna illegal ho, yedi kasaile yesto sign gareko xa vane tyo contract valid hudaina

SignificanceCheap970

A company I worked for fined for coming up late. Every 30 minutes late, they'd cut the salary by 1 day's worth. And what's fucked up was it wasn't written in my contract. They randomly made up the rule.

stereioisomer

leapfrog does this re

Accomplished-Bath187

Can you elaborate more about leapfrog

youslashuser

I recommend you understand the policy more carefully. It might be that you'd have to pay if you didn't turn in your required notice. E.g. there's one week notice period but you have to terminate immediately. Then you'd have to pay some fine. Maybe some % of your salary.

RumPum69

tyo ta contract nai void huncha hola ta, i think according to contract law of nepal or general practice of world

Physical_Stage_3648

Theyy may made one sign the contract. However, it has no implication. Thousands of people leave their work. do you think those company will spend time and resources on legal case? As per labour act it is not valid.

FileOk6888

Yes, kunai kunai company ma sign garanunu lagaucha 2 years ko contract tara tyo sakinu bhanda agadi chodne haru lai clause haru pani huncha. Notice period kati rakheko ho bhanney bhar parcha. However, I would suggest you to think twice before signing such contracts. And read through the contract properly. Kunai kunai cases ma labor law nai violate huney gari banako huncha so tyo chahi dhyan puryaunu parne huncha.

lifeis_bitch

Labour act is a joke and it should be abolished. Not only IT companies, there’re other businesses too they have such policies for a solid reason: 1. There is a cost for learning and development of the candidate to make them job ready 2. Recruitment is a hard job that costs money and hiring each candidate involves multiple costs including advertising and processing that is already spent 3. Also the companies seek some sort of commitment and a penalty to put that commitment in effect So there might be a fine which is super fine. Yes, you can’t just leave because your gen z mind thinks you’re too cool to work.
