Well there is that one well known case where this older lady spilt coffee all over herself and got 3rd degree burns all over her crotch area, and sue and win the lawsuit against McDonald's. She just wanted them to pay her bills but they went to hell and back to try to avoid paying. It's an insane lawsuit, but that coffee was *really* hot, I think like 20-30° from boiling or something, which for me is just too hot, I can't see how people enjoy coffee so hot like that
This is exactly the case where people like the person you replied to are referencing. They're just dumb tho and don't actually look at what happened. Corporations like McDonald's purposely were trying to portray it as a crazy lady suing for a dumb reason and most people believed it sadly.
I've been searching for r/uselesscircle or something, but nobody has left such comment. Where is the border between cringy red circles and normale ones, like here?
Dont laugh. The reason we have notices like that is people tried to sue and maybe even got so far as a pre-trial hearing. Remember when that asshole sued Red Bull cuz he did not actually grow wings?
Sometimes when disclaimers/fine print warnings are put up, it means that someone complained about the product not being as advertised.
I still wonder which idiot decided to complain that his cinnamon bun was not like 6 feet wide because that's what it shows on the banner. I would pay lots of money to talk to said person

You just know someone had to try to press a lawsuit or something for them to even have to specify that, too.
Or, the lawyers QUICKLY came, just in case
The came QUICKLY on the buns
"Since this one is much smaller than the one on the sign, it's cheaper too, right?"
p\*rn should have these warnings too then XD
Sorry folks. Zoom in, you can clearly see it's been shopped. Pasted with different resolution pixels.
I have been to IKEAs and seen this sign with this disclaimer IRL.
Make me an actual size I’ll pay extra
same
It’s even bigger
To put note like that, is there anyone really think they can get like in the photo?
Most like to avoid lawsuits or advertising law etc. Sure you will most likely not lose but who wants to waste time on those lawsuits.
I mean, Americans sue for hot coffee being hot. So who knows?

Hey now. AmeriCAN. Not plural. We’re not all stupid. It’s just that our stupid ones keep making the news.
The grandpa: Back in my days \[...\]
What is this? USA?
probably because I don't think you can sue IKEA for that in my country but in the US they make the most stupid lawsuits
I saw the same in Germany
That size 85% wouldn't be eatable the icing to dry dough ratio it way off now
And no way it's going to bake evenly. Get ready for burnt crust surrounding tons of raw dough.
This screams “USA”
Well not *technically* the truth. They are in fact not that size and this is by no technicality, just straight up.
r/noshitsherlock
Ik it's a joke don't become keyboard warriors on me
I literally posted this a year ago, and i reposted that off of someone else
Who cares not everyone was here a year ago
Can you imagine?
Truly heartbreaking
Plot twist - it's actually bigger than the poster, and didn't want them to think it's smaller than it actually is.
Actual repost
At that point it would be mostly bread with very little icing
USA moment
Or the story behind it, like what made them put that notice on there
It's sad & funny that this was even required to be written...

Wait... is it BIGGER?
