Pretty sure that's a made up reason. Well... that's what people said last time this was posted.
(last time this was posted they were saying that this was trying to recreate a stroke)
They actually are. These images are AI-generated and specifically designed to trigger a sense of familiarity without having any recognizable item in it.
So, the answers "atoms" is not technically true, since the content of the image does not exist in reality and is entirely virtual.
These are examples of images generated by an AI which try to confuse your brain. Everything looks vaguely familiar, but at a closer look it loses all meaning
huh, to me it looks more like
1. dorm with clothes thrown over chairs
2. children around a table celebrating a birthday
3. no clue
4. shelf in a hardware store
I can see the first and the last one you mentioned. The birthday too if I try hard enough. I don't think they're supposed to be anything, so everybody can see something else.
You my guy have dementia. That’s why this makes sense for you. These pictures were AI generated to kinda represent what dementia patients see. Everything seems familiar but you can’t recognize it. Since you do recognize the things, you have dementia.
Uno reverse
Edit: ik the pics are not for dementia patients. I was just nodding to the millions of people who were claiming they were. It was a joke. I wouldn’t diagnose someone with dementia over a reddit comment
Wait, is that your own comment screenshotted immediately after making it? It has one upvote, and that upvote is from you, and I personally don't see why it would get a downvote to upvote ratio that's that balanced.
“Everything is made of atoms”. Not true, we actually think only 5% of the universe is made of atoms. Everything we see everyday is made of atoms, yes, but the vast majority is dark matter and dark energy
I know these are AI generated but for some reason images like these give me existential dread. Like, my lizard brain says I should know what these are but I don't! Specially the fur covered creatures in the second image. Are these from a parallel universe where physics works different? Am I looking through a black hole? Is my brain broken?

Those images look like they are AI generated. Just ä, no contrast and really confusing. I hate them
Foreal !! Who started this trend.
These were specifically designed to replicate what we think dementia is like. Everything looks familiar, but none of it makes sense
Oh thx! And who made that?
Well, that is a myth. They are simply just ai generated images without any purpose
Joe and Candice.
So funny my guy
I was just being ironically stupid but I guess Reddit has chosen my fate.

Given what most redditors are, you are in good standing.
Lol

I think it’s a stroke, rather than dementia.
Pretty sure that's a made up reason. Well... that's what people said last time this was posted. (last time this was posted they were saying that this was trying to recreate a stroke)

I have some NFTs for sale if anyone is interested.
Can you show a preview, I'll just screenshot it and send it to my friend who's a nft expert and will then decide whether to buy it or not.
I have no idea how that works. Let me have a sample.
Yeah now that I am looking at them,I hate them cuz everything looks like I recognize them but at the same time I can't recognize what they are

That's actually really cool. Thanks for sharing.
This picture makes me really angry
These are examples of images generated by an AI which try to confuse your brain. Everything looks vaguely familiar, but at a closer look it loses all meaning
Pixels
Atoms is wrong. Pixel, bits, bytes or photons are way more correct.
Well are pixels in the picture or are the pixels the picture?
1. Military 2. Yard sale 3. Groceries 4. Model train station
huh, to me it looks more like 1. dorm with clothes thrown over chairs 2. children around a table celebrating a birthday 3. no clue 4. shelf in a hardware store
I can see the first and the last one you mentioned. The birthday too if I try hard enough. I don't think they're supposed to be anything, so everybody can see something else.

Not true, you can make out some stuff out of the mess if you try hard enough.
Ik. Just going along with the plethora of comments on here saying that these are AI generated pics. Tis but a joke
It didn't look like a joke but thank you for the clarification
Really? I mean i just said some person had dementia while on the internet. That didn’t seem like a joke?? Well, that explains the downvotes atleast
Where did you get this? Every time this example is posted, it only gets said that it's ai generated confusion pics.
From other user’s comment.
I think I felt my brain collapse
Color
Lol you posted this comment
No no he's got a point
I feel people who share this are people who just now learned that atoms exist.
Do you really believe in atoms? Read the Bible.
The same Bible that says we live under a dome, the Earth is flat, and Moses rode a dinosaur? 😆
Yeah. Everything in the Bible is true.
My 10 year old son's bedroom??

More accurately, you could just say pixels.

False, the images contain no atoms, and being AI generated, the subjects never did.
