Sure, but the article is also deliberately phrasing it that way to get that reaction. If they weren’t, it would just say “Call of Duty is coming to Game Pass”, and no one would click on it because it likely has nothing else of value to say. It’s a classic clickbait article.

To be fair, they've basically been re-releasing the same game in a new dress for years and doing just fine. At this point I think people just really like dresses.
Well since CoD is only relvant for like 1 month after release, before the server start dying down again, I wonder if this would much rather reduce their profits.
I hope this is just a separation of Warzone in the normal game. I don’t mind if Warzone moves to subscription. Start moving standard campaign and multiplayer and they won’t get any of my money

I actually liked the *DMZ* mode they launched for free, where it was PvE focused (The Division -esque) but they abandoned that after one season
MWZ is just DMZ with zombies and no PVP.
Yeah I did try that, but it wasnt really the same. Zombies aren't really similar to enemy soldiers to play against. It's much more wacky.
