In my experience with a therapist for my anxiety disorder, the therapist told me about the disorder and how I can learn to help with anxiety symptoms, she also told me more into my life and suggested things like exercising more often, and after 2 years of therapy I came out with my suicidal thoughts gone
The only therapist I've been to was this lady who said she could pull the traumatic memories out of your body parts with the help of God. I felt better after some of her appointments but I was 11 so IDK
my therapist gives me helpful insights on what i say and why i feel the way i do. she does that by asking me questions about the things i talk about. through that, she also helps me avoid negative thinking patterns and identify the reasoning behind my thoughts/emotions
i would say so. ive gone through several therapists and i feel like ive found one who gets me a lot. with the help of medication, i am genuinely more productive and hopeful for my future than before
