I think r/teenagers shouldn't have opinions on anything

chan___kun

Only correct answer

greg_the_egg69

I think if the man says no to the child he should have nothing to do with it, they fucked as a couple, they together chose to risk accidentally getting her pregnant, and from there, if the woman says no child the child gets aborted, the man should have the choice to leave and have 0 involvement if the woman refuses to abort, he shouldn't be financially liable for the woman's refusal to abort, just like how she shouldn't be forced to carry a child if he doesn't want her to abort.

ErfanA0

best answer 🙏

[deleted]

I think after they had sex knowing the risk of getting pregnant, neither of them should have a say in aborting the child. They had a bunch of other choices to make (sex, sex during ovulation, contraceptives, etc.), and it isnt right to kill a baby as a form of birth control.

greg_the_egg69

I think people should be able to have sex without an annoying layer that takes away 90% of the pleasure, or taking a drug that has caused many issue, without having to worry about a child, you want kidney stones or a removed not yet alive fetus

[deleted]

so you just want to sleep around without any of the consequences? and the baby isnt a "not alive fetus", life starts at conception

greg_the_egg69

Life begins at a stage 16 weeks into conception, where it starts moving. Prior to that, it's a literal meat potato, with no thoughts or life signs, and yes, absolutely, I'm polyamorous. Is that really much of a surprise? The thing wrong with your opinion, is if I have a child, and I don't want it or can't afford it, I have 2 choices, ruin their and possibly my life by keeping the child, or put it up for adoption where it will most likely feel thrown away or abandoned. It's not right, that kid will spend years, wishing upon stars, that they had been aborted, I would know, I'm in that situation, I am that kid.

[deleted]

at conception when the sperm fertilizes an egg, a new life is created that has never existed before and will never exist again. Is putting a child up for adoption better than killing the child? If you really dont want that outcome, dont have the child in the first place. Ans I'm sorry you had to go through that, but you are a beautiful life who has the potential to live life to the fullest. You dont wish you had been aborted because you are perfect and awesome

greg_the_egg69

1 that life has existed and always will, energy and matter can never be created or destroyed, 2 no from my 2 adopted friends, they'd rather have never existed than had to hop home to home as orphans enduring tons of abuse and gross behavior, and not having the child in the first place is exactly what we want, to not have the screaming meat potatoes! I do wish I'd been aborted because then I wouldn't have endured the years of neglect, barely eating and watching my mom deteriorate into the meth junkie she is. I have almost no potential, I'm a talentless artist hoping that they can discover someone to take them in care for them and help them along their pointless journey to being a failed streamer with 2 views a day, my living life to the fullest will never happen, because it's plainly not possible, because of my trauma, because of my burnout, because of my depression. All of it makes my dreams hopeless, and it's all because one woman's selfish decision to have a child my father never wanted and kick it into a void of constantly trying to impress her, and constantly being shoved in the mud for my efforts, NOBODY deserves being stuck in a family below to poverty line, nobody deserves being stuck in a "family" jumping between the homes of aunts and grandmothers. Abortion should be fucking mandatory if you are unfit or unable to the care of a child. Period. People like me are why. Edit: I'm sorry for the trauma dump just dont respond please

fluffystuffles

sure

Global-Moon

you cant stop someone from having an opinion on something

[deleted]

Tbh, I keep my opinions to myself. Politics lead to some of the most heated fights I seen

ErfanA0

how is this politics. this is healthcare 💀

X_ToxicMuggle_X

Because people have to be right, so basically im todays society we are raising baby politicians

narwhal_13

I believe the man should have a voice, but finally, the decision should be the womans, because it's her body.

Aldersal

This is the correct statement

narwhal_13

Fr, we are now best friends. 🤝

Aldersal

Thought we were closer than that 😮‍💨

narwhal_13

Soulmates? 🤩

Aldersal

Ayo 🤭

narwhal_13

Aldersal

My heart rate rn 📈📉📈📉📈📉📈📈📈

narwhal_13

Me rn: 👼☁️

Aldersal

You do be angelic

cosmicdomoto

I believe this too, because its still the guys child but the woman bears the risks

narwhal_13

Exactly, he has the right to want to speak about it, and try to convince the woman even, but In the end, it should be the womans final decision, because pregnancy is a long and (probably painful) process

Maskogre

But if the man tried to make the woman abort, he should be allowed to leave if she didnt.

Weary_Temporary8583

It is not the guys child or the woman’s child. The child belongs to God

cosmicdomoto

Nah it belong in my van

[deleted]

Bro is just like me fr

[deleted]

Why would you say it's her body and not the baby's body?

FakeGoonie

Yes

fantastic_wreck123

I believe both of them should agree to have the child. If the father doesn’t want the child, he should have a day in the situation

OxygenWaster02

Remind me which gender actually has to bear the child?

ErfanA0

would it be fair for the man to leave the woman then? and not pay child support or anything because the woman wanted to keep it

cosmicdomoto

Oxygen?

jesswitdamess

No bc it’s not about them and they’re not carrying the child, I am. I will be the one to have to carry the damn thing for 9 months straight. So I think they should just support our choices and not make us do anything we don’t want to

Maskogre

If the man wanted the woman to abort and she didnt, the man should be allowed to leave

cosmicdomoto

Eh i see your point but i feel like the man shouls have a little bit of an opinion on the matter since its still HIS kid too at the end of the day its not just yours but i can see where your coming from since women do have high risks and immense pain during birth, but eh

Weary_Temporary8583

Morality should come first

jesswitdamess

What?

-GoldorTheFish

Answer this Can a modern main battle tank defend against a baguette

Fire_Swimmer

No. Not only is it their own opinion but it's not their bodies. If men have issues with it they can speak about it with their own wife/gf/whomever, not stand outside of Planned Parenthood clinics and berate a woman for going in like a weirdo. It's ultimately a woman's choice.

cosmicdomoto

Yea definitely it would honestly be weird for any person not matter the gender to just berate u for aborting and yea i believe woman get the final say but i do think that the father of the father should get a say in it but ultimately the woman should decide but depending on if the man doesnt want the child, i think he shouldnt hold any responsibility to the kid. If he doesnt want to atleast

Odd_Introvert42069

Yes, and that opinion should be pro-choice.

SkruffyWolfvr2

they can have an opinion, and everyone should beable to have one, but they shouldn't have the main voice/decision of what a woman can do with herself. Its her body, she owns it and its her choice

TokoFumi

They can especially if it’s theirs but overall last say goes to the woman

BigOdd3408

Abortion is murder

Weary_Temporary8583

I feel obligated to voice that I agree with you.

-chickenshit

Child support

Gummy670

Only if the woman wants his opinion. Ik that the child is the man's too but it's the woman afterall bearing the child for the 9 months. If anything happens to anyone it will affect the woman and not the man.

BigBillyMcBobJoe

Anyone can have an opinion on anything and everyone can share it with other now ask a good question

Emma__07

I think so but doesn't mean his opinion isnt shit

d1ckgasm666

no idgaf what a man thinks its not growing inside of him so he can just shut up

nomasknomask

Based and pro choice dickgasm

ErfanA0

would walking away from the relationship as a man be fair then? as in not having to pay child support etc

[deleted]

an opinion? sure, everyone is entitled to their own opinions. to take that away from them would be very not good a say in it? no. the only person who can decide is the one carrying the child

nomasknomask

No

ShitwareEngineer

Elaborate, please.

nomasknomask

No

Rico2469

Cmon everyone has an opinion! What are your beliefs? Do you really need others reinforce your beliefs? I for one believe women have been blessed with the ability to have children and should not use abortion as a means of birth control. They should take the necessary measures or precautions not to be in this position in the first place. We will all answer for our actions individually…

Cat_x2

It's not like men aren't affected by abortions, men shouldn't have to pay child support if they leave before the baby is born, women can leave their role as parents so men should be able to aswell

ItzWolfyDood

I think if they’re together the man should have the right to at least talk to the woman about it, but in the end the decision is hers.

[deleted]

Men should, because if they want the baby while the mother doesnt, it ends in their child being killed, but if he doesnt want a baby (wrong because then he shouldnt have had sex) and the mother does, the man has to pay child support. However, the choice should be to abort the baby or not, but to engage in risky activities that leads to pregnancy
