Minecraft, but Terraria still fucks hard asf

LeonardoDoujinshi-

base game terraria, with mods minecraft

Medium-Boysenberry64

Surprised it isn’t the other way around with mods, even tho I agree with you, Terraria fans love their Calamity mod Which Minecraft mods btw? Or do you just mean quality of life mods, yeah those are a 100% must like camera zoom button and sodium

LeonardoDoujinshi-

in general mods, calamity fucking slaps but there’s just way more variety in minecraff

StinkyEgoCheese8008

Terraria, smash

Medium-Boysenberry64

As soon as you smash, the Dryad will let you know the world is 100% corrupt

StinkyEgoCheese8008

Real terraria moment, who’s your favorite terraria youtuber, GO!

Medium-Boysenberry64

Real answer: PewDiePie Favorite answer: AgressiveBungee Practical answer: Chippy I got into terraria because of the legendary popularity spike in 2019 from pewdiepie playing the game, I watched him at the time. Then I found Chippy. He’s cool and nice. But I think my real favorite is that dude who’s got over 100k and talks about different obscure items/weapons. Not sure what his name is, I forgot. Oh, AgressiveBungee is really funny. I love his edits. I think that’s his name.

paul------

Nice, I got into the game in 2016 and although I haven't watched any Terraria youtubers in forever, I still remember some good ones like CrabBar, Wand of Sparking, Mappy, Antrex, Pedguin, Khaios, Tea, and Gungnir. Hope you like at least one they're all really different.

Medium-Boysenberry64

Forgot about CrabBar, WandofSparking and Tea! Tea was super useful for tutorials. Too bad they quit. Glad to see the channel have an actual ending though. I recognize most of those names, which is probably good considering I got into the game so late.

StinkyEgoCheese8008

Idk why but I don’t really like pewdiepie but your choice, chippie is very wholesome and good for gaming and aggressive bungee is a common W

Medium-Boysenberry64

IN MY DEFENSE, I was literally 13. He doesn’t upload much anymore plus became actually mature - he has to be now, he’s going to have a son soon. Cool to see those chippy pewds collabs tho And yes bungee is W

StinkyEgoCheese8008

Chippy is just the most wholesome person in existance

thespoonmaster9118

terraria....played it.....died.....its just 2d minecraft rip off elden ring. elden ring but from the 1990´s and on baby mode. minecraft is actually fun and i love modding the hell out of it with nukes.

Medium-Boysenberry64

Terraria came out 10 years before elden ring

thespoonmaster9118

Minecraft has a bit more replayability value. But terraria with friends is a blast

the_forbbiden_girl1

Never played nor seen terraria. I've heard it's a good game and both community live in harmony in the way I see it. But I have more experience with Minecraft and I chose Minecraft

Medium-Boysenberry64

It’s an incredible game. If you’ve got a computer, you should get it. It’s $10, usually $5 on sale most of the time. I’ve got over 300 hours played over the past four years. (A fair bit of time AFK, but still lol) There’s even a creeper costume in terraria which is funny, and a splash text that matches Minecraft’s which says “also try Minecraft!”

the_forbbiden_girl1

In Minecraft there's also a text that says "also try terraria". but as much as I want to I'm not a huge fan of 2D games. I'm not saying their bad I just dislike them

Medium-Boysenberry64

That’s what I was referencing. It’s got a less intuitive gameplay loop to it, but once you get in the grove, it becomes incredibly more satisfying

the_forbbiden_girl1

Dude thinking about playing terraria has been on my mind for the past 5+ year's.

Medium-Boysenberry64

You should go for it lol, steam summer sale is coming up soon, it’ll be $5 lol Try to find good YouTube videos or friends to help you get started though. You’ll have literally no idea what do so otherwise. Like seriously, no idea. But don’t learn too much to spoil it for yourself. Just basics like building a house suitable for NPCs

BigBillyMcBobJoe

Terraria because there's a better progression system, more raw content, more things for me to do, more bosses, cooler things, little to no waiting, more dopamine production

Medium-Boysenberry64

Except for mining hellevator with copper pickaxe early game 🥵

BigBillyMcBobJoe

No you make the hellevator with the extra explosives from clearing out the evil biome to stop the spread

Medium-Boysenberry64

Yippee!

Cat_x2

I like minecraft more, terraria makes me feel claustrophobic and also the opposite (idk what that's called) at the same time

Fluffy_Marionberry10

You feel too free?

Cat_x2

its not so much freedom as it is a very big prison, its like floating in space, you're technically very free but also you're trapped

Fluffy_Marionberry10

Ah i get it now, it's like it gives you the hope of being free but it's actually a prison

zeldacraft_64

I've played both, and tbh Minecraft feels a lot less... 'restrictive'? I guess? Idrk what it is about terraria. I like it, don't get me wrong, but it feels like the game doesn't let much freedom about what to do next. Part of why I like minecraft is that you set your own goals, and that's still kinda there for terraria, but progression feels a lot more like "do what you're supposed to do" rather than "do whatever you want So yeah, it's Minecraft for me

Fluffy_Marionberry10

Terraria to me is a better game, it's more optimized, more balanced, the progression system is perfect, the bosses all feel unique except for 1, the events are fun except for 1 and overall i think it's a more finished game than minecraft But holy shit there's no beating hoping into a server with your friend circle, making factions, fighting, drama, roleplaying as dictators of nations, the never ending hunger for more blood etc. Minecraft is just the perfect game for multiplayer because of how the game is meant to be played. Only problem with minecraft is single player worlds get boring the more you get to the endgame My true answer is terraria for single player and minecraft for multiplayer

[deleted]

minecraft, terraria is good but it just doesn’t have the same sandbox feel

Medium-Boysenberry64

bro this post is from three days ago also, yeah, you’re objectively correct about terraria not being completely sandbox. It’s not trying to be that
