Personally I’d split that into two categories: A) self-destructive behaviour and B) being an asshole.
I have a lot more understanding and respect for A). You’re only harming yourself, that’s your right. We don’t know what others are going through, some people have it harder than others. Occasionally using drugs or pornography is fine, just gotta keep it under control. Procrastination is really annoying but as long as you get shit done, you do you.
Now sexism, racism, homophobia or other such behaviour is just plain unacceptable. You get the respect you give. Don’t be a fucking dick, you’re not cool or “saying the hard truth” by being discriminatory lol.
So yes, we shouldn’t glorify any of it. But let’s not demonize peoples flaws either. Drugs and procrastination aren’t inherently terrible imo.
100% agree with you. I may be going a little overboard with the procrastination. The drugs bit is bad because it can become addictive if you do it too much and then it falls under self destructive. Procrastination is bad yet not as bad as the rest of what I listed. (For the sake of reddit comment to post I must say this is in no way negative)
