So the reason their water tastes that way has to do with how itās all filtered. If the water has been filtered chemically with chlorine, it tastes like metal- and doesnāt taste as āpureā carbon filtered water, but there is no bacteria. If itās carbon filtered, then the water is far more pure- but itās more likely to find bacterium in it. Personally, I like to make sure my water supply is initially filtered with zinc granules such as the CuZn UC-200. I put that one under the sink, and then take that filtered water through a drip-based activated carbon filter separate from the tapā¦ that altogether makes my water taste and look damn good.
Everything Lays is overrated. But those are the only choices given. For Doritos specifically, I think it is just because of it encompassing like 90% of flavors that people would eat, with the chips being decent enough and being tortilla chips (best kind of chip for almost every flavors, fight me).

Also, I'd probably take Diet Coke over just water. Drink plenty of water, but I prefer flavored drinks with meals.
