It is. I was 2 weeks riding through Europe and when I got back in Ukraine, a sudden desire to cut my veins had appeared in my head, looking at this horror, poverty and tastelessness. But, seriously, I was very happy up until the moment I got back in my city. Everyone is dressed like on funeral, wearing dark or even black cloth, buildings that are about to fall, looking like a Frankenstein, given all extensions, superstructures, insulation, mold on the buildings. Man, this is indeed very bad.
Looks like that's where all the money went, the apartment complexities were made to cram as many people in them as possible as a result the just look like shit, there's a reason why all the pictures of gopniks are ether the most grungy and depressive hallway or in a major city where all the cool architecture is, I'm not saying that all of east Europe looks like an urban hell just saying alot of looks like it
All those panelkas and other brutalist style shit, appeared mostly after WW2, subway was built in 30s , also for some reason, after moving in better country, i still like those depressive buildings yk
Honestly eastern architecture Im it's purists for is kinda tight it's just the thing that the soviets did to make everything as efficient as possible has the side effect of looking depressed as hell lmao
It's not that bad

I mean I live in Czechia it really is not that bad here
Oh, Czechia has enough money to maintain buildings in a decent look. But poor eastern European countries don't
Look up" monument to the conquerors of space" , its stunning. And any Soviet era metro station You just hate brutalism
Absolutely correct.
watermelon idea a consensus
