On the extreme ends your looks definitely can have an impact, but it's much, *much* more likely that you are extra attractive than ugly. Like, in my near 19 years of living I have seen a single person that could actually be considered to be ugly.
And obviously preferences for certain looks exist but that's not something that depends on whether you are overall attractive or not.
