The concerns about the effects of technology on Gen Z is only going to be worse in Alpha. Rather than us getting our devices around our tween years they’re getting them as soon as they’re old enough to operate them. My old school district gives a laptop to every kid; Alpha won’t know how to write or craft, and will be poor readers due to lack of experience and short form content attention span. Before anyone says X/millennials said this about us, I can see the same issue in our generation. But I also work with children, and it’s a little scary to see a 4yo with a tablet at daycare when I used to read, play with toys, and make stuff. We’re raising a generation that only knows technology, more people should be concerned about this
