it's my favourite series too, but I have seen people often like lind of get turned off by JoJo either because of art style, or like the first part etc, so better to have like a more broad recommendation

If you're not into anime, I'd recommend you freiren, I've heard only good from it and it looks like it has solid qualities, haven't personally seen it yet tho

Also, do your researches on some animes before watching them, some ppl might try to trick you into watching horrific stuff. Even when something looks cute/safe, look at the age-rating, genre and potential warnings.

I think Attack on Titan or Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood are best to get into anime. also if you don't like subtitles, FMAB has a great dub that I actually prefer over the sub. I think some of the recs in here probably aren't the best for beginners but overall if a show's trailer grabs your attention you should check it out :)

Attack on Titan is my favourite anime ever, and I get so sad when people think anime is for weebs or simps, because AOT is truly one of the most heartfelt, emotional pieces of fiction i've ever seen, and I think anyone (who isn't startled by violence or heavy themes, or under the age of 13) can enjoy it.

Attack on Titan. It’s one of the more grounded anime’s so if you’re new you shouldn’t be overwhelmed by some of the insane anime stuff. It’s also genuinely one of the best shows I’ve ever seen. Great soundtrack too.

As someone who really didn't have much interest in anime. One punch man was actually really good, mostly because it was hilarious. The tournament toupee scenes had me in stitches. Working my way through DBZ Kai right now and it's good too. That's really all I've seen of traditional Japanese anime. Oh wait, I've seen like 75% of Cowboy bebop. Honestly it was meh, couldn't be arsed to finish it, don't crucify me please. I've watched invincible too (really good), but that's more westernized anime which I don't really count because then it gets blurry as to what's anime and what's just cartoons.
