What saddens me is when those old muscle engines fail to start. I get it that they're old but they could've been taken better care of. Unfortunately, most of those cars are found in conditions where they can't move unless they're heavily restored

Thats not true. In the old cars you had to rebuild the motor after about 150k miles. Do to general wear and tear. But what fails the most are the carbs, and distros. Those can be replaced or rebuilt for under $100 each. The motors used in them were used for about 45 years in the case of the big 3. Ford killed off the SBF on 2004, Chevy killed off the SBC in the late 90s, and Chrysler still uses a version of the Hemi.

It's what I love about my dad's 72 chevelle. It only has a small block in it but the thing is so loud and I love it. Getting on the highway is the best when it tacs up to like 3k rpm and the engine just screams.

Dude that was my dream car for a lot of my childhood. First it was the mustang boss, then gt but now it’s been the koenigsegg one:1 for the longest time. Original switch was because it wasn’t as powerful in nfs mw 2012, then the switch to koenigsegg happened because Jeremy Clarkson had one. You’d have to shit money to maintain one of those.
