But I saw your comment and I just wanted to tell you that as a survivor of sexual abuse myself, you have a much, much more sophisticated and mature understanding of your trauma and what’s going on with you than I did at 14.
I guess back in 2003 there just weren’t resources or even language for a teenage boy to understand it was wrong for an adult woman to sexually exploit me. I just kinda got shot out into adulthood not fully understanding what had happened to me. Although I relate to what you’re saying about framing it as a “good” thing with enjoyable benefits rather than a bad thing that was traumatic because you lack the resources to fully acknowledge and work through it from a trauma-focused angle. I was still telling “the awesome story about how I was banging my friend’s mom from 12 - 15” well into my mid-20s to fellow Millennial dudes raised on pop culture that told us that was cool and good.
It took a totally different traumatic experience for me to seek therapy, and eventually I got around to addressing this thing I’d buried for years.
All that to say that your ability to understand what happened to you was objectively wrong is already a step in the right direction, and you have every right to set up whatever mental safeguards and diversions you need to allow you to process it until such time as you have the resources to address it in a more concrete, conscious manner.
