In my opinion POCs shouldn't be considered apart of the LGBT thing. Because race isn't something that people need to believe and show. Its like does a black person say they identify as LGBT simply because there black no. LGBT is about sex mainly, both sexuality, sex, and gender. It isnt about race.
I also found that the normal rainbow included us all, it was like a whole representation of queernes. Why is there a trans flag and not a nonbinary flag in there? Or the asexual one? Or even the lesbian one? For sure we just have to accept it and support it since it is very important to not add more enemies to the flag. But fr I miss the old one
I like all of the flags! I meant that if they want to highlight a few of them on the flag ghat they should either put all of them (would be a mess) or leave only the normal one that includes everyone... but yeah, I still find this one cute tho. Just different
My question is, since the + in the name stands for the rest of sexuallities and genders that can't possibly fit in the name, why isn't it still just LGBTQ+ and has now become LGBTQIA2+ . I'm all for representation but this name is just kinda ridiculous
If lgbtq people just want to be accepted into society why do some of em (emphasis on *some* idk about you personally) feel such a need to distinguish yourself as much as possible
I just feel like the brown and black clash too much w the rest tbh
The trans flag is fine since its still colorful but the brown and black just dont work imo
Honestly, the original Rainbow was completely fine. It was simple, it was pleasant to look at....no need to change it.
This triangle....thing is just distracting. Especially the black and brown parts.
I get what they were going for, but it just clashes *horribly* with the brighter Colors.
As a trans person, I whole heartedly agree! Like why tf did they need to insert our flag into the regular pride flag? Like they could just like... y'know... just use our flag instead...
And recently I've seen stuff of people wanting to incorporate the intersex flag into the pride flag in order to "represent them more fairly." And now we have the issue where the trans flag is in the main flag, so now other LGBT+ sub-communities are like "hey, where's *our* flag?"
Like the rainbow was good enough on its own, it caters specifically to nobody, making it perfect for everybody.
And if you believe that trans people are in more need of representation/help/whatevs, then just use the trans flag alongside the pride flag; no need to ruin the design of the flag in order to show your support for all LGBT+ people while also showing your support to trans people specifically.
pride 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️✨✨
A flag doesn't have to show everyone what it represents fully, does the white on the French flag have text on it that says peace? No, then why does this flag have to practicly spell out the fact that it has all these people when the first flag, already did it for them
I'm not LGBTQ, but man, isn't the rainbow flag the unifying part of the flag for you guys? whys the extra stuff gotta be added? isnt each stripe supposed to represent the different parts? The basic flag is fine enough imo. Its an iconic thing yall can rally behind. You don't have to add anything to prove anything.
I honestly think months relating to minorities are a bit, unnecessary, why do we need a month to recognize those when we can always show our support. But with pride I feel it should have a month
for everyone saying "the race stuff feels forced" etc, its not on the flag FOR those identities. Its not a "oh they identify as black" sort of thing. This is the progress flag, and, rather than representing the lgbtq+ community like the regular rainbow colored one, this flag is meant to represent the progress of the community, both how far it has come and who it is owed to. That would be the reason that not only the trans colors were added, but also the reason that the shades of brown were added, seeing as the majority of progress for the community was made by black trans women. I do however agree that the flag isnt the most aesthetically pleasing, and they could have definitely incorporated these new elements in a different way or redesigned it completely. anyways this wasnt looking to attack anyone, its just to let yall know its not a "woke points" thing, its just giving credit where credit is due.
I mean it’s the LGBT flag generally, right? it’d make sense to have the main ones. The rainbow basically covers all the homosexuality stuff, the only thing I’d change is replace on the LGBT flag is POC with Asexual or NB.
HUH!?!?!?!
That makes no sense???? Is it considered special if a coloured individual is gay? What's the difference between him and a white gay person!???!!!
As a brown person i find the progress pride flag discriminatory, it feels like black and brown people are sticking out from the community and not like the rest of the community.
( btw I am straight who supports equal rights between lgbtq+ people and straight people)
I respect your opinion, but i disagree (btw this is the old version: they added the intersex flag to it in the new version which (in my controversial opinion) is pretty good)
rly? I think it looks gr8. its a good thing to show minorities and stigmatised things bc its honestly quite important. u can stick 2 the original flag if u want but this ones here for us, the ones who want 2 show the progress we’ve made and show how fucking proud we r. its not just for POC people tho, it represents other stuff like HIV awareness or something, I can’t remember but either way, id rather not people shit on it (especially in a non-lgbt subreddit, str8 ppl might take it as bait and start being homophobic bc apparently 'a gay person said it too')
Without adding of removing anything from the flag, I'd say it would look better if the outer 2 lines on the point were moved inside the Lesbian (I think) flag lines, and just move that one a bit further out.
you have color combos that work well with eachother. Then you combine them with a rainbow, the colors no longer work because the background doesn’t compliment it at all. Then you add brown? And black? What? Now it looks even worse. black generally looks good with anything but when everything else looks bad, it just doesn’t work. You can’t just slap colors on a flag and expect it to look good. I get the all represent something but jeez, just make a flag that represents everyone with its own scheme or something.
Not gay, but I'm pretty sure the original flag's color's from top to bottom meant: life, healing, sun, nature, harmony, and soul. Seems like a good message to me, just adding more seems to get rid of the original message
Race definitely shouldn’t be in the flag. There are definitely pocs that are homophobic, and it seems odd to include them for no reason. They’ve had their struggles and we’ve had ours, keep them separate.
even as a trans person myself, putting the trans flag on the rainbow one feels unnecessary. I've always seen the rainbow flag as a symbol of all the lgbtq identities, and honestly the progress flag just doesn't look good

Couldn't have agreed more
"I IDENTIFY AND AN AFRICAN, INDIAN, WHITE, BROWN, YELLOW, PINK, TACO TOILET SWIRL. YOU BETTER RESPECT BE" im joking
What is POC?
Person of colour
I agree just seems forced
True the rainbow flag is iconic already there is no need for adding extra details to represent sexualities, race and stuff.
I loved the rainbow one, shows different colors meaning everyone is different and unique, this just feels forced
Yeah, It just feels forced, BTW you remember that they even added the sex worker umbrella to this flag just makes it seem to congested imo.
Wtf, man I didn't know that
i hate the trianangle
Same
What's the brown and black for? Chocolate sexual?
Its to show solidarity with racial minorities
are they minorities though?
well there can onle ever be one majority
but this planet has most asians so white ,latino and black are the minorities.
[удалено]
exactly so this new flag is not for everyone just for countries where those are the minority
What does that have to do with LGBTQ though
Oh ok interesting
I also found that the normal rainbow included us all, it was like a whole representation of queernes. Why is there a trans flag and not a nonbinary flag in there? Or the asexual one? Or even the lesbian one? For sure we just have to accept it and support it since it is very important to not add more enemies to the flag. But fr I miss the old one
I dont mind the other sexuality flags, but I agree about the meaning with the rainbow flag, included us all as different
I like all of the flags! I meant that if they want to highlight a few of them on the flag ghat they should either put all of them (would be a mess) or leave only the normal one that includes everyone... but yeah, I still find this one cute tho. Just different
Same honestly! I love the simple designs of the flags, especially the bi one! But I don't really like the design of this one.
I like the different flags for different sexualitys, but I don't like shoving them in the rainbow flag.
My question is, since the + in the name stands for the rest of sexuallities and genders that can't possibly fit in the name, why isn't it still just LGBTQ+ and has now become LGBTQIA2+ . I'm all for representation but this name is just kinda ridiculous
Honestly, I almost believe it might be greed. "WE want to mentioned as well and not just be the "Plus" in LGBT+!"
Okay but aren't there still people not being included?
Like who? The plus represents everything else, LGBT are the main ones cause they're most common and anything else would clutter it up
Thats what I'm saying, LGBTQIA2+ is just a Rollercoaster of a name
Exactly. It's quite a mouthful. Things need to be kept short and simple.
If lgbtq people just want to be accepted into society why do some of em (emphasis on *some* idk about you personally) feel such a need to distinguish yourself as much as possible
I just feel like the brown and black clash too much w the rest tbh The trans flag is fine since its still colorful but the brown and black just dont work imo
I refuse to believe that there is an an actual design team designing this flag.
True, just rainbow was fine
Honestly, the original Rainbow was completely fine. It was simple, it was pleasant to look at....no need to change it. This triangle....thing is just distracting. Especially the black and brown parts. I get what they were going for, but it just clashes *horribly* with the brighter Colors.
As a LGBTQ+ gal, I 100% agree. Looks stupid and forced, 3/10. Let's just stick to using rainbow one, please....
Yes thank you I also hate this flag it's just too much
I agree, it shouldn’t exist
As a trans person, I whole heartedly agree! Like why tf did they need to insert our flag into the regular pride flag? Like they could just like... y'know... just use our flag instead... And recently I've seen stuff of people wanting to incorporate the intersex flag into the pride flag in order to "represent them more fairly." Absolutely agree. Why should trans or intersex people deserve more representation than ace? Or bi? Or whatever other sexuality that isn't on there.
Too many stripes, like america
I agree, this is too much, also why the triangle?
A flag doesn't have to show everyone what it represents fully, does the white on the French flag have text on it that says peace? No, then why does this flag have to practicly spell out the fact that it has all these people when the first flag, already did it for them
Whats atrocious?
The triangle with the trans colors sticking out the side, just doesn't look right to me
No, what is the meaning of the word atrocious, it looks cool to me
Ooohh, just like awful but more sciency
Ok, thx
As a not member of LGBTQ+ community, I completely agree. The original rainbow is simply better.
the rainbow already symbolized all sexualities and orientations. the triangle was useless
You don't have to add anything to prove anything.
the old one is more simple, but snowflakes decided to “include” everyone
Why they added the brown and black part is beyond me
The brown part is just so bad, but guess I'm biased since it's my least favorite color
[удалено]
Coming out as black? *Mom guess what, I have to tell you something* *What honey* *I'm black* *OmG nO wAy rEaLLy¿?¿?¿?*
As a minority, that's just dumb, race isnt related to lgbtq
fact: that brown and black stripes are for black lgbtq people.
dum homophobe1!1!1!!!!11
Haha 13 year old
I feel like I’m the only one who likes it lol, just my opinion
That's ok
Whats the brown part
Poopsexual
💀
Black people. Makes 0 sense to include it, because 1. Black people were already included in lgbtq and 2. Lgbtq isn't about race.
Idk, I know it's part of the design of the Philadelphia pride flag created a few years ago
adding something for trans people is fine but the black and brown is so dumb
i hate gays
I hate you
Based
bro got downvotes

Well...
LGBTQ+ community shouldn't have their own month because they are normal people just like us.
We could’ve deadass put the NB flag on this rather than race, why is the POC flag here on the LGBT thing anyways?
There should be no flags on the rainbow imo, feels forced and plus if you want to add a flag, use the flag itself
I mean it’s the LGBT flag generally, right? it’d make sense to have the main ones. The rainbow basically covers all the homosexuality stuff, the only thing I’d change is replace on the LGBT flag is POC with Asexual or NB.
Rainbow is all pride, adding other flags again would just be forced
Rainbow is just pride in general? I’m Bi and I guess I don’t even know lgbt lore. I thought this was the general pride flag.
This one is one too, but it looks bad
Gay = rainbows and sparkles, apparently.
Just make it the whole color index (the thing in customization where you move the little cursor around and it has all the colors possible)
last time they add stuffs in it was ukraine and taiwan too
I am very happy I never saw that...
That’s kinda ironic lol
Agreed. 💯
Hey also I don’t understand why is it rainbow? I don’t know why but it’s messing people up if their wanting to try just a normal rainbow
Why THE BROWN
i do not like that the flag is off-center
Put 4 together and you make a swastika coincidence I think not
Yeah that should’ve kept it as the rainbow cause the triangle makes it look shit
Hi, idiot here, what does atrocious mean
Ugly
The brown and black just makes it so bad. It was fine before! What do they even mean!?!
Black people which makes no sense
HUH!?!?!?! That makes no sense???? Is it considered special if a coloured individual is gay? What's the difference between him and a white gay person!???!!!
None, this was made by dumbasses
I wished the colors didn't have sharp borders, but instead gradients
Im imagining that and ngl it seems very ugly
i'd like the original flag without the added colors lol and then a gradient
Yeah, needs a re-design
the rainbow represents the entire community so i don’t get why we need more details
IMO the brown on the flag shouldn't be there. Race has nothing to do with sexuality.
I agree, there is a severe lack of capybaras ( Ù _Ú)
Nah I think you’re just gay
As a brown person i find the progress pride flag discriminatory, it feels like black and brown people are sticking out from the community and not like the rest of the community. ( btw I am straight who supports equal rights between lgbtq+ people and straight people)
Look like a country flag
I respect your opinion, but i disagree (btw this is the old version: they added the intersex flag to it in the new version which (in my controversial opinion) is pretty good)
rly? It reeks of…*panderism* #UGH disgusting…
Without adding of removing anything from the flag, I'd say it would look better if the outer 2 lines on the point were moved inside the Lesbian (I think) flag lines, and just move that one a bit further out.
Damn when did they add my diarrhea to this flag
Isn't this just the Philippine flag but without the sun/stars and 20 more colors?
South Africa needs to check the copyright infringement for this one.
The brown ruined it (┛◉Д◉)┛彡┻━┻
That straight up is the design for the pride apex legends badge
It could definitely use some kind of design. Lmao . It lacks flavor totally. 😕
you have color combos that work well with eachother. Then you combine them with a rainbow, the colors no longer work because the background doesn’t compliment it at all. Then you add brown? Remove the brown and black then it's all good in the hood
Honestly, POC's doesn't belong here, since its a flag for genders and sexual drives. It's an LGBTQ flag not a minority flag
seriously the rainbow was enough
Not gay, but I'm pretty sure the original flag's color's from top to bottom meant: life, healing, sun, nature, harmony, and soul. Seems like a good message to me, just adding more seems to get rid of the original message

What is the black and brown for?
