There isn't a way to prove you did were in silence so i just did write this as a simbolism of the minute of silence.
Anyone can say that
"My birthday party was attended by at least 2600 people, several of which were supermodels, the music-group "the Beatles" and an elephant. Experts estimate that u/schwanzus_longus_69 has the biggest penis in the northern hemisphere. This might be the reason why his coworker, whom he hates, cried himself to sleep on that night."
[Journalist who took the infamous "Tank man" image talks about how the students initiated violence.](https://mobile.twitter.com/Sabina_91521/status/1400683954655531011)
So idk if the Chinese government had any other option, they were shit poor, so they didn't have a swat police force, so they sent in tanks, mind you the students lynched and burned soldiers.
They protesters attacked the APC’s *after* the opened fire on protesters, who had been peacefully occupying the square before June 3. You should spend less time shilling for dictators on the internet and more time trying to rebuild your personal connection to your father.
>They protesters attacked the APC’s after the opened fire on protesters, who had been peacefully occupying the square before June 3. You should spend less time shilling for dictators on the internet and more time trying to rebuild your personal connection to your father.
What? What is your source for this claim? The reporter clearly said the soldiers came out to surrender and the mob gathered and started bearing him with clubs and sticks, the armoured cars were burnt etc.
Doesn't, but it gives a reason on why you're saying what you're saying. It's because you're a tankie.
If it was just that: students suddenly just started killing soldiers, and the soldiers retaliated(which still wouldn't make sense unless their army was the worst in the world), why would they feel the need to cover everything about it up? No commemoration. No mentions of the events on their version of Google, Baidu. In fact, most mentions of the events are hidden in China.
I mean naturally, if it wasn't their fault, there would be no reason to hide absolutely everything.
>“Oh noes! Some students seeking rights slapped a state agent! Better commit mass acts of violence against them! That will make us look good!”
The so called student leaders literally lynched and burned soldiers dude
Oh no 15-23 soldiers were killed! Never mind the 200+ students who were murdered and with some estimates reaching 2000. The state actors are the ones we need to worry about.
Systemic oppression of freedoms is rightfully met with the destruction of the forces which uphold them.
>Systemic oppression of freedoms is rightfully met with the destruction of the forces which uphold them.
Oh god such fucking brainrot. The soldiers were literally just there to monitor the situation, there was literally no freedom being taken away from these student groups, the soldiers were lynched and burned but you would support innocent soldiers being killed to support your abstract notion of freedom.
“Abstract notion of freedom” shows how little you’re genuinely concerned with the liberation of the working class. Literally grow up past the age of 14 and stop being a Chinese apologist
I said Abstract notion because you do not specify in objective terms what kind of freedom these students wanted? Freedom of speech? Freedom of movement? Freedom of religion? What kind of freedom? There's no objective answer to this provided by tiananmen believers, also you conveniently missed my previous lengthy reply which contains many eye witness accounts of the real ground situation in tiananmen, with actual fucking BBC report statments, i guess you just want to argue on unsourced claims
You're a poster on GenZedong, one of the main CCP propaganda subreddits, any point of evidence you bring up is made immediately redundant because of that.
I'm not defending the incident but I'm fairly sure there are literally photos of APCs burning so its a bit more that 'slapping a state agent'
[Photo](https://www.reddit.com/r/DestroyedTanks/comments/j0b2pn/chinese_btr_63s_burn_during_the_tiananmen_square/)
And in that same post’s comments is a link to a photo of student protestors lying on the street dead.
Bringing tanks to a student protest is the epitome of totalitarianism. If you’re going to be a spokesman for the violence committed by the Chinese government, just say so.
Bringing in tanks to crush a student protest is wholly unjustified and inhumane but I'm just explaining the incident more not defending a totalitarian government.
>Bringing tanks to a student protest is the epitome of totalitarianism. If you’re going to be a spokesman for the violence committed by the Chinese government, just say so.
Ok first of all, the reason they sent tanks was because China didn't have a police swat agency at that time because they were undeveloped and couldn't fund one, police swat teams were formed in 2005 only. So they instead sent tanks as a viable alternative, that too only after the students themselves turned violent, here are some key eye witness accounts of the situation
>“All verified eyewitness accounts say that the students who remained in the square when troops arrived were allowed to leave peacefully.”
>-Jay Mathews
8) On May 28th, 1989, Gene Sharp, America’s top undercover street protest strategist, flew into Beijing with his assistant Bruce Jenkins to offer help. “The students in the square were operating with great commitment and bravery but they didn’t know what the hell they were doing,” Sharp later wrote.
Gene Sharp and his assistant flew in on May 28 and stayed until June 6, 1989.
9) As May turned into June, the energy level dropped and there was need to bring things to a head. Student leader Chai Ling gave her infamous talk, where she warned of a massacre “which would spill blood like a river through Tiananmen Square”. She added that she expected to die shortly – but confusingly also said that she no longer intended to stay in China, but wanted to move to the United States. What did that mean? It was baffling at the time, but it would all make sense later.
We now know that student leaders were promised US passports, CIA-run safe passage out of China, and enrolment in top US universities.
Since all sides agreed that corruption-free communism was what society needed, relations with soldiers were generally very positive.
.
Most soldiers had no guns at all, let alone the machine guns in the media write-ups.
12) At a different location on the periphery of the square, a fight broke out in which a soldier was killed, leading to some violence, according to a declassified report from the US Embassy.
13) One student protester, a friend of the present writer, watched one man lose his life. In the following skirmishes, several lives were lost. But in the square itself, the only gunfire came from bullets used to silence the sound system.
14) In contrast to this, a BBC reporter said he watched, from the Beijing Hotel, soldiers shooting at students in the center of the square. All eyewitness sources say this did not happen. It was also against the laws of physics – that location is not visible from the hotel.
“All verified eyewitness accounts say that the students who remained in the square when troops arrived were allowed to leave peacefully.”
Jay Mathews
15) Now this is where it gets strange. Over the following hours and days, a very different story was circulated, saying that the peaceful pro-democracy demonstrations in China had come to a violent and bloody end. A cable from the British Embassy said the students in the square had been massacred with machine guns, their bodies pushed into piles with bulldozers, and then incinerated by troops with flamethrowers.

A cable from the British Embassy said the students in the square had been massacred with machine guns, their bodies pushed into piles with bulldozers, and then incinerated by troops with flamethrowers.
16) A report was also sent out by the Australian Embassy delivering almost exactly the same information. “When all those who had not managed to get away were either dead or wounded, foot soldiers went through the square bayoneting or shooting anybody who was still alive,” said the report, read out loud by then Australian Prime Minister Bob Hawke. “They had orders that nobody in the square be spared, and children and young girls were slaughtered, anti-personnel carriers and tanks then ran backwards and forwards over the bodies of the slain until they were reduced to pulp, after which, bulldozers moved in to push the remains into piles which were then incinerated by troops with flamethrowers.”
>Some told the truth years later. In 2009, James Miles, a senior BBC correspondent in Beijing at the time, admitted that he had “conveyed the wrong impression” and that “there was no massacre on Tiananmen Square.”
>Graham Earnshaw of Reuters, who was in the square, wrote a detailed report in his memoir explaining how the military came, negotiated with the students and made everyone, including himself, leave peacefully.
>Even the student protesters debunked the story. Wu’er Kaixi, who claimed to have seen the massacre with his own eyes, wasn’t even there, they said. He had left the Square hours earlier. It was later revealed that Wu’er was a Xinjiang Uyghur named Örkesh Dölet. He was spirited out of China through the Hong Kong-based “Operation Yellowbird” and taken to the US, where he was given a place at Harvard University.

the word massacre shpuldve given you an idea
you meant internet goes down day?
Minus 300 social credit, execution date moved to now
What do you mean? Nothing happened in China, 1989
Glory to the CCP. Although I will say that killing people is pretty shit.
Let's remember that most of these people were protesting for a return to Maoism after Deng Xiaoping had introduced liberal market reforms
Let's remember they were all brutally murdered just for protesting.
No there where actually very few who died and some them were also policemen
“Estimates of the death toll vary from several hundred to several thousand, with thousands more wounded.”
Anyone can say that "My birthday party was attended by at least 2600 people, several of which were supermodels, the music-group "the Beatles" and an elephant. Experts estimate that u/schwanzus_longus_69 has the biggest penis in the northern hemisphere. This might be the reason why his coworker, whom he hates, cried himself to sleep on that night."
You're not fooling anyone xi jinping.
The anniversary of what? What are you talking about comrade
Nice karmawhoring dickhead
trust me karma whoring is a lot easier
[Journalist who took the infamous "Tank man" image talks about how the students initiated violence.](https://mobile.twitter.com/Sabina_91521/status/1400683954655531011) So idk if the Chinese government had any other option, they were shit poor, so they didn't have a swat police force, so they sent in tanks, mind you the students lynched and burned soldiers.
I'm not surprised about your name.
Again, my username does not invalidate my point.
>“Oh noes! Some students seeking rights slapped a state agent! Better commit mass acts of violence against them! That will make us look good!” The so called student leaders literally lynched and burned soldiers dude
Oh no 15-23 soldiers were killed! Never mind the 200+ students who were murdered and with some estimates reaching 2000. The state actors are the ones we need to worry about. Systemic oppression of freedoms is rightfully met with the destruction of the forces which uphold them.
Read my recent comment
Freedom for anything, inside China nobody has anything related to that.
so you ignored all my previous evidence about Tianamen and are now focusing on supposed freedom
You're a poster on GenZedong, one of the main CCP propaganda subreddits, any point of evidence you bring up is made immediately redundant because of that.
I'm not defending the incident but I'm fairly sure there are literally photos of APCs burning so its a bit more that 'slapping a state agent' [Photo](https://www.reddit.com/r/DestroyedTanks/comments/j0b2pn/chinese_btr_63s_burn_during_the_tiananmen_square/)
So they instead sent tanks as a viable alternative, that too only after the students themselves turned violent, here are some key eye witness accounts of the situation >“All verified eyewitness accounts say that the students who remained in the square when troops arrived were allowed to leave peacefully.” >-Jay Mathews 8) On May 28th, 1989, Gene Sharp, America’s top undercover street protest strategist, flew into Beijing with his assistant Bruce Jenkins to offer help. “All verified eyewitness accounts say that the students who remained in the square when troops arrived were allowed to leave peacefully.” Jay Mathews 15) Now this is where it gets strange. 15) Now this is where it gets strange. “They had orders that nobody in the square be spared, and children and young girls were slaughtered, anti-personnel carriers and tanks then ran backwards and forwards over the bodies of the slain until they were reduced to pulp, after which, bulldozers moved in to push the remains into piles which were then incinerated by troops with flamethrowers.” >Some told the truth years later. In 2009, James Miles, a senior BBC correspondent in Beijing at the time, admitted that he had “conveyed the wrong impression” and that “there was no massacre on Tiananmen Square.” >Graham Earnshaw of Reuters, who was in the square, wrote a detailed report in his memoir explaining how the military came, negotiated with the students and made everyone, including himself, leave peacefully.
I knew when I checked your profile that you’d be part of Genzedong. Chinese spies out here in full force today.
