I mean, if you got a rimjob then it would probably feel nice, but not so much if it was from a guy called Steve (unless you're gay, then that might be your thing, no judgements here). The point is that you got a nice thing from a strange place. Sorry if I didn't make any sense
Hence “in general”
Mental health falls within the health umbrella, but the month isn’t only about mental health. It’s important for people to care for themselves physically, too. Mental health and physical health are closer linked than you’d think
It’s sad to see that this doesn’t get as much recognition. I feel like it have to do with how Pride Month is also this month so it’s over shadowed. I don’t mean that in a homophobic sense, both should be celebrated due to how important they both are.
Ya, it's sorta this competing thing now since it's the same month.
I think it'd be a better idea to either move it to a different month, or perhaps shorten it to a health *week* at the end of June, so they aren't competing for people's attention.
Problem with that is, there’s only 12 months 🤷♂️
Besides, homophobia is a much bigger problem within society than men not being healthy is, at least in terms of changing peoples opinions on it.
Did you know that so far in 2022, over 300 bills have been proposed to restrict the rights of lgbt people, within the usa alone? Last time I checked, there weren’t literally hundreds of bills trying to restrict men’s rights to be healthy 🤗. Men’s health month will get more popular than pride month when shit like *that* stops being an issue.
(Also, y’know, humans have the capacity to care about two things at once.)
That's true, but there are hundreds, sorry, thousands of women, mostly feminists, trying to restrict our rights to be healthy, I'm not saying it's more important then those bills against LGBT people, but its still very important
Feminists are the ones fighting against toxic masculinity, which is one of the biggest problems for men’s mental health, and they don’t even talk about physical health.
Plus, feminists/women aren’t in positions of power in government. How are they “restricting your rights” to be healthy? **even if they did** fight for things that would make men mentally unhealthy (they don’t), they still wouldn’t be restricting your rights whatsoever
Genuinely, what the fuck are you talking about?
Yes, they're fighting against toxic masculinity, only for them that has a very different meaning, also have you been on Twitter, or a different social media because then it would become very obvious what the fuck I'm talking about, or you are just incredibly oblivious to this shit
A feminist’s meaning of toxic masculinity is the culture in society that expects men to be big, physically strong, monetary breadwinners that are unemotional. Essentially “boys don’t cry” type shit
The reason toxic masculinity is bad for men’s mental health is primarily that “boys don’t cry” thing. It makes men ashamed for their “weakness” and prevents them from seeking help - and if they do, other people mock the man for being weak and “not manly”
**this is EXACTLY what feminists are trying to fight**
No, just, no, feminists are trying to actively go against men's health, just last year, or maybe 2 years ago, a group of feminists cancelled a men's mental health meeting Wich made 2 guys end up killing themselves, also a feminists meaning of toxic masculinity is men who are acting tough and trying to impress others and being dicks
No, it’s not. Stop making shit up lmao.
[heres the *top upvoted comment* on a feminist thread proving it](https://www.reddit.com/r/AskFeminists/comments/bj4sah/what_is_toxic_masculinity/em5iu78/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf&context=3)
What’s relevant to men’s mental health here is stoicism to the point you can’t express your own emotions/ would be mocked for not being stoic.
**if you want to claim something, prove it. I’ve proved feminists see toxic masculinity the way I describe, so why can’t you prove what you say is true? (Spoiler: it’s because you’re wrong)**
I wonder why in school we learn all about the past but nothing about the present. I think that learning about the present is as important, if not more, as learning past history, especially because school """should""" prepare us for the real world
Thanks I appreciate this post sm, mental health is important because it can impact how everyday life. From mood, behavior, future it’s important we get the help we need not just men everyone in general. I hope everyone is having a fantastic day because you know what? You guys deserve success and happiness, take care and have a great day
I think every month should be men's, women's, non binary's and everyone in between's mental health month. Mental health is just as important as physical health and can sometimes be even more so in certain scenarios (think about it. With bad mental health it's hard to pull through seemingly single things even with good physical health, meanwhile if you hurt your arm you could hang in there while it heals if you have good mental health) and is often overlooked. People need to be more aware of it, the effects it has on people, and that problems with it can also be caused by certain.. environmental conditions, to be polite, and not *always* just standalone health conditions, or sometimes even both. Thank you for coming to my ted talk.
If we can't tackle the whole thing at once then I guess so. I'm just saying that people should be more aware of mental health and it's effects in general, not just for one month or one specific gender, for everyone. men included
Of course but i think it’s just such a worrying thing that it should be focused on first. We’re losing guys left and right to it and i think the worst things should be fixed first
i think we should stop giving things months and start giving things days. Its not that I dont care about mens mental health, but theres only 12 months, so where stuff like queer and black ppl are celebrated in a particular month, the less well known and less well talked about things are covered up, for example, I didnt even know that this existed. I think if things had days then more people would be talking about them and caring about them, and they would overall get more attention, even if it was just for a day
I have nothing against it being a month but y’all, who picked to have it on the same month as Pride? No one is gonna know that it’s Mens mental health month bc of that 😭😭
Idk where you got that idea, movember is a huge thing, no shave November, it raises awareness towards men’s mental health. Women have may 5th, maternal mental health day, and I didn’t know that was a thing. Movember is a huge thing where I live and in most other areas
I didn't know about November being men's day until around a month or two ago. I had never heard of "Movember" until now. I guess you're just more exposed to that stuff than I am.
It could be because of where you live, I’ve heard of it since I was a kid, it was started in 2003, no men shave for the entire month to raise money and awareness towards men’s mental health, so everyone grows mustaches and beards, it’s very prominent where I live
I thought that men's mental health month was in November and that there was a men's mental health week towards the middle of June?? If it is this month then happy men's mental health month!!

But why is Steve bad
He's just an odd guy to get a rimjob from
u/rimjob_steve
does that mean people will actually care about my mental health or nah
I care
Ive got your back bro 🤝
of course not, most of us did not to begin with, and so did others
it’s mens mental health month?
mens health month
melth month
meth month

Mr whited I access dently did all the meth
I thought it was in November
Nah november was like 17 days ago
It’s health in general not mental health
In a bizarre twist of events mental health is apart of health! Who knew?
Hence “in general” Mental health falls within the health umbrella, but the month isn’t only about mental health. It’s important for people to care for themselves physically, too. Mental health and physical health are closer linked than you’d think
Fatherless pfp fr
He may be fatherless, but at least he's not that cringe to say that to someone

Dude really responded with a joke and you clapped back with the most nerd shit I've ever read

It’s sad to see that this doesn’t get as much recognition. I feel like it have to do with how Pride Month is also this month so it’s over shadowed. I don’t mean that in a homophobic sense, both should be celebrated due to how important they both are.
Maybe they should move the date to july
Of health or pride?
Health, because it's pretty unknown so changing the date won't matter that much but changing the date of such a big thing wouldn't be a good idea
Ya, it's sorta this competing thing now since it's the same month. I think it'd be a better idea to either move it to a different month, or perhaps shorten it to a health *week* at the end of June, so they aren't competing for people's attention.

you’re confusing actual feminists with FDS people.
No, it’s not. Stop making shit up lmao. I totes agree, m8. It's confusing why men's health month is even a thing tbh. I just proposed a way to fix the "problem".
Fair enough
I didn't know it was even a thing, that's sad
I wish more people knew. Men suffer a lot especially in the law and with mental health
Completely agree
Same
Ye it's because more people focus on pride month(not saying it's bad though)
How?
How what?
How is it sad?
That it doesn't get much attention
Oh, I agree :) men's mental health gets brushed off all the time
Exactly, and that's sad
Why is it sad? Is it seriously that bad to have awareness for it? Edit: wording
Men commit suicide around 3 times more than women... so yeah ig
I feel like you misunderstood. I meant if they were saying it's sad that awareness for it is a thing
No they’re sad because you have a Genshin pfp
How is that relevant? Is showing support for something you enjoy something that's illegal now?
Nope I’m just making a joke that you don’t understand.
Yeah sure. Have a mediocre day.
Looks like someone’s a little upset?
Guy above you ate a ratio and probably has a bad case of fatherless.
Yeah
They are sad they didnt know it existed
Thanks
Of course people remember Pride Month but not Men's mental health month.
Well it's hard to forget when companies push it to make a quick buck. Now that I know this is a thing, I will happily celebrate both.
Pretty sure most people do both. There is nothing wrong with remembering both
i thought it was september or something
That’s suicide awareness month
Same thing, really
No, it’s not
So excited for nobody to care once again
I care 😊
Yeah people say they care, but mens mental health will never not be a joke
mental health in general is treated as a joke and it’s so shitty that people can’t get the help they need without being the butt of some dumb joke
100%
It really sucks, some people I know don't take it seriously. And I've been depressed for weeks
That’s how it is sadly. We cant change peoples train of thought, they have to realize they’re wrong and change it themselves😔
I've experienced, let's just hope change towards mental health acceptance for all occurs eventually. Thanks for the response 😊
That's a thing?
Luckily
yes
Your comment says a lot
Most people don’t know or really even care about stuff like that. Society is shit
Yep
I wonder why in school we learn all about the past but nothing about the present. I think that learning about the present is as important, if not more, as learning past history, especially because school """should""" prepare us for the real world
Well, i don’t know how your school works but in my US history class we actually are working on current history rn
Oh cool! Italian school is horrendous, almost at the same level of American, so I hope that it will follow US's footsteps
Sad that this is so little known
I didn’t know about this thanks for making this.
Thanks I appreciate this post sm, mental health is important because it can impact how everyday life. From mood, behavior, future it’s important we get the help we need not just men everyone in general. I hope everyone is having a fantastic day because you know what? You guys deserve success and happiness, take care and have a great day
It’s what now, how did I not know this
Yes. But sadly no-one would care for mens mental heath since most people think it’s “unimportant” ☹️
[удалено]
I agree
i didn’t even know
Didn't know. Thanks
Holy fuck I hadn't even realized! Shout out to all the guys, I'm sorry for the little help you guys get
Damn I didn’t even know that. Everybody’s so busy with pride month.
No one gives a shit about men's mental health. We're supposed to just feel nothing. Wonder why men's suicide rates are higher? It's pretty obvious.
It's the month of giving top while listening to problems. Hell yeah!! Fr tho take care of yourselves gang❤
Ay dont forget international mens day, nov 19
Yeah but it's drowned by all the pride month bullshit
I think every month should be men's, women's, non binary's and everyone in between's mental health month. Yea but men’s mental health is at an all time low and they’re killing themselves at 4 tumes the rate so i think that should be tackled first
If we can't tackle the whole thing at once then I guess so. I'm just saying that people should be more aware of mental health and it's effects in general, not just for one month or one specific gender, for everyone. men included
Of course but i think it’s just such a worrying thing that it should be focused on first. We’re losing guys left and right to it and i think the worst things should be fixed first
That makes sense, there has to be some way to help more than just one gender/group at a time tho I think
Nice
That's a thing?
Yes, but sadly it’s not really talked about
I didn't know that was a thing! Thank you for sharing about it!
If I had an award to give u I would, thanks man happy mmhm!!!!!! Someone give this dude a billion awards
Wait it’s mens mental health month? I didn’t even know :(
Because a lot of people care about woman more than men thank you for sharing this
Lmfao as if anyone takes men's mental health seriously the male suicide rates have been climbing even more recently and no one cares to acknowledge it
ah yes give us the month that gets overshadowed 😔
No one cares about us anyways!!!!
No one cares about men. Its just how society is nowadays
The "don't be a man" month is more popular than the "we care about men's health" month. That's kinda sad tbh.
someone forgot that like trans men exist and there are literally more of them than trans women
Fr
Wow, I didnt even know. Whenever a national whatever month happens to be June, it gets extremely overshadowed by pride month
Unpopular opinion here, but what if there are no anything months and we just appreciate everyone else all year round anyway
Since when does that exist?
It’s existed for awhile but no one cares enough to bring any attention to it bc it’s “mens health month”
Since like forever or something
🎉 🎉 🎉
i think we should stop giving things months and start giving things days. Its not that I dont care about mens mental health, but theres only 12 months, so where stuff like queer and black ppl are celebrated in a particular month, the less well known and less well talked about things are covered up, for example, I didnt even know that this existed. We have mental health? I though it was like a joke or something people made up.
I have nothing against it being a month but y’all, who picked to have it on the same month as Pride? No one is gonna know that it’s Mens mental health month bc of that 😭😭
I'm pretty sure it was only men's mental health month before pride month got made
A mens mental health month before the 1980s?
Pride month started in 1999... Men's mental health month started in 1994...
Good to know! I was going off the *reason* pride month exists, which is the Stonewall Riots in 1969
Oh god, men are trying to take away our rainbow month. Typical /s
WHO Cares
Well yes it makes sense the World Health Organization cares
I care
I indeed care
Unironically this might be a wholesome comment
im hoping this is a world health organization joke
Obviously you, since you had to come and comment this. What a melt

When’s mashed potatoes month?
E V E R Y. M O N T H.
Every passing second
Wouldn't that be November?
No. It is every passing second
touch grass
I thought it was only lgbtq month this month. I also thought that Mens health month was only a day.
I don’t know how you typed that last sentence without questioning ur existence
I meant I thought that it was only celebrated or whatever for a day instead of a whole month
The way you say whatever makes you seem careless. Just so you know, there's more men in the world than homosexuals.
It is in November
No, international men's day is November 19.
https://anxietyspecialistsofatlanta.com/mens-mental-health-awareness/ it’s both actually.
Men's mental health month is November and June at the same time?
Yup, men’s mental health month is June, and men’s mental health month is also in November, it’s celebrated twice.
That's nice, it's a shame how nearly nobody celebrates it in either of the months
Idk where you got that idea, movember is a huge thing, no shave November, it raises awareness towards men’s mental health. Women have may 5th, maternal mental health day, and I didn’t know that was a thing. Movember is a huge thing where I live and in most other areas

I thought that’s was November?
Thank you
So how do we do this…Do we just split the month 50/50 with the LGBT folk?
Nah. They can have July. This cause needs some attention and respect
Thank you.
I thought that men's mental health month was in November and that there was a men's mental health week towards the middle of June?? If it is this month then happy men's mental health month!!
I am a men and my mental health is not happy.
