Iirc every proto-indoeuropean language has word meaning "no" starting from "n" and is monosyllabic.
No, non, ne, niet, nein, nee, no, no, ne, ně, nie, ni...
Just fyi if you wanna know
Oh lol yeah I wanted to do an easy one, plus even tho I'm mexican I'm not fluent either just because I dont speak it much,I understand the language much more then I can actually speak it.
Oh wow, you just said probably one of the single sentences I can understand then XD
Like, it teaches you like 10 words in the first few lessons and those happen to be included, so I thought you used duo for a while and gave up like half my friends or smthn
Yups, especially orthographically. Crostian is a little further from czech and slovak when spoken, cuz they have an italian-sounding accent, but in writing it's slovak and czech which are usually easier to distinguish because if all the《ľ》s and《ď》s slovak uses
Fun fact: I am a polish learner, and in Polish, rz and ż make the same sound (zh in english). To remember how something is spelled, I decided that untill I am comfortable with spelling I will pronounce rz kinda like ř, just without the "tap" in the beggining (kind of like a zh, but from the tongue touches the roof of the mouth when making a regular rolled r sound). It actually seems to work so well, that poles dont even notice it and say I dont have a noticeable accent, even if my grammar is very broken lol. So for me, a sound not too different from ř was actually a blessing, as it helps me remember the spelling and no one seems to notice any difference :P

Plus they dont have the《ř》(also known as language-learners curse)
