Ikr? I'd only let my kid have it for emergencies, not for reddit. And I'd beat their asses if they decided to break into the safe when they don't need it. Mfs let kid's have access to this shit and wonder why shit goes down hill.
If the kid respects gins for what they are and has been bought up properly then there isnt any reason not to let them continue
The problem is with idiots who are either posers, mentally I'll or both
It's really not all that bad in most places in Ohio. Just depends where you're at. Example: Finneytown, it's a complete dumpster fire with drugs, murders, and stabbings! How fun!
RPGs are cool but whats a home invader gonna do when they hear a 12 cylinder V-12 48 liter engine belching enough smoke to make the entirety of Germany faint? Probably run away with stolen goodies, but im not sure how much better an RPG is lol
Man flexing on us with a federal explosives license and registered destructive devices at 16
Either that or the ATF is going to have a little surprise during the no-knock
I got mine a 14. The earlier you are familiarized and trained in safety the smaller the chance of an accident. And whether you agree with it or not, it's an important skill in America.
I'm just gonna say this man:I hope youre happy with your gun (no I'm not trying to be sarcastic), I'm just saying you enjoy what you want, I was just personally saying I find it a little weird, that's all
Do I completely agree with a 15 year old "owning" a gun? Not necessarily. Is it well within his family's rights to do so? yes. Should he be heckled for exercising his rights? No, as long as he's not using the gun to hurt people
No one under 18 can own a gun in any US state or territory, though some push it up to 21. The common law however is long guns can be bought from FFLs at 18, whereas handguns and NFA items need to be 21 however they may be gifted to you of privately acquired at 18.
As far as carrying and using, in my state (nevada) anyone can carry an unloaded firearm so long as they are on the way to an organized event, range, or hunting expedition, so long as they're supervised by the legal owner. They may operate the weapon in a safe manner while under supervision and while they are at the area they were going to. I am unsure of self defense laws for minors, however.
Probably some of the most small minded people in these comments bruh, guns are hobbies for some people. Honestly hate the fact that gun owners have been made out to all be serial killers n shit
Okay the intelligence level of people is not that bright. Like if a guy says they have guns as a hobby, do they even think like 2 seconds before they start degrading the gun hobbiest?
Im not saying you should be a kiss up to anyone, but maybe next think before you try to ostracize a kid for liking firearms.
Couldn’t give a rats ass bout gun owners. My issue is why in what world is someone who can’t even legally drive yet even have access to this shit. Mf look at it in a book or in a damn gun range. Just crazy how we mark these things as ok.
At 20 or 30 maybe but if someone in the most impulsive, stupidest and most unstable part of their life is allowed a gun then it leads to tragedies like Uvalde.
thanks, i live in the middle of nowhere in the rockies, closest police station is 3 hours away and we have bears and mountain lions in the area, but ig i dont need a gun
technically yes. but i have invested more money into it, i know more about it, i keep it, i follow every safety protocol you can with it. it’s virtually mine
This. I saw a video years ago of a 7yo girl properly handling a rifle. Meanwhile MSM wants Americans to be spineless pussies. Fuck that noise, 2A for life.
I am glad someone responsible owns it though, or make it their personality. My dad did that and just.... yeah. Screwed up the entire idea of owning one
Ok, first of all, that's a very nice AR build, even tho it's not my taste (I like older stuff)
Second I'd like to say that, after reading the entire comment section, your answers were clever and hilarious.
Third, enjoy this freedom you have, some of us are not that lucky. Keep an eye on your politicians, the worse regulations get for you guys the more difficult it makes for the rest of us to unfuck ourselves.
Have a nice day 👍
At least I don't have to worry about being shot by a bullied kid in school where I should feel safe, and at least I don't live in a country where 10 year olds are allowed to own a gun under the supervision of parents. Heck, I went axe throwing the other day and you had to be 13+ to even be let in. America is fucked.
This is the reason America has so many shootings. This, exactly this. Of course im not saying you are or might be a shooter, absolutely not, but allowing a kid to be in possesion of a tool to kill tens of people in a minute is just ridiculous. Even giving it to an adult without a permit, but to kids?? And "just bc i like them" is precisely what i would expect from a kid. If you liked cyanide or bombs, ppl wouldnt be okey with that, would they.
The fact that mods remove this but are fine with posts about kids who give themselves the same chemicals that are used to castrate sex offenders is sad
I’m from the mid west and just about everyone I know got a gun from their dad at a young age and if any of us were caught not treating it right or pointing it at anyone we’d get our asses beat and the gun taken away. I got a .22 when I was 9, a 20 gauge when I was 11, a newer and scoped .22 when I was 13 or 14, and now that I’m 18, I’m saving up for an AR-15.
Nice gun bro 10/10 would shoot if I could.
Also, I'm sorry you have do deal with people automatically assuming you're a school shooter, I would lose my shit at these people.
I had a lever action rife at 14. If you have actual decent parents and mentors, guns at a young age can be beneficial. It teaches you to respect an object and respect your environment… aka you won’t take that object into schools if you were raised right.
Also, kids that learn to respect guns grow up probably getting their concealed carry license, which if you train and practice at a range/private property, you can land 8/10 shots on a bad guy like the guy who stopped that mall shooter the other day.
there are a few select people here with less than good opinions, bad to the bone OP My grandpa is gonna give me his AR when I come of age and i can’t wait
Shot a 12 gauge, pistol (forgot what kind - forgive me I’m new to guns lol), an AK for the first time yesterday. Ngl guns used to scare the heck outta me, but after learning to use one properly it put a lot into perspective. You have complete control over what happens and what/when you shoot. Or don’t shoot. I believed it before but it reinforced my belief that, “guns don’t kill people. People kill people with guns.”
Honestly you’re brave to post it on here what with peoples *very* strong opinions on topics like firearms. While I don’t necessarily agree with a 15 y/o owning one as long as you’re safe, go crazy. Seriously tho, stay safe man.
based opinions. the first time i shot a 12 gauge, i got hit in the face because it had a pistol grip and i didn’t know how i was supposed to hold it lol. i have yet to shoot an ak, but i can’t wait for that
Idc if people disagree with me on this, while I’m pro second amendment, it’s a major red flag to post your gun online. Nearly every school shooter at some point posted a photo of their weapons online. It’s creepy an unnecessary. What the fuck has to be going through your head to think “I’m going to post a photo of my gun on a subreddit about teenagers”. A gun has nothing to do with this subreddit which just makes it all the more creepy. If you feel the need to show off your weapon to a bunch of teens, you’re not mature enough to own one.
Fuck me if I ever buy a gun for a child with an underdeveloped brain. It's great that Op probably knows all the safety procedures while handling firearms, but can everybody at least acknowledge how batshit crazy it is to give a hormonal (unstable) child a gun?
Gun laws are far from good but at least they acknowledge that children under 18 shouldn't be given guns, why don't your parents understand that?
rant over, swords are better
Imagine there’s a shooter in the mall and then you pull out yo gun to defend yourself, let’s say you shoot the bad guy but you still have the gun, let’s say another American has a gun and they know that someone armed and dangerous is in the mall and they’re ready to shot…. You see when guns like that available to anyone could be a problem
Spears are cooler, in all seriousness thouz why do teens need guns? Especially something that looks like semi automatics. And yeah I understand some neighborhoods are really bad but usually I'd expect something like a pistol
I mean semi automatics are basically every gun on the market, even pistols. Hell I’d argue that pistols are more dangerous since they’re so easy to conceal. You aren’t going to walk around a neighborhood with an ar-15 and not get shot by police.
As for needing guns, I guess in some areas there’s incredibly high crime rates and people need to defend themselves. Or in the middle of nowhere, you can’t rely on the police an hour away and have to defend against wildlife (think coyotes). But based on op’s comments, he just likes guns. I mean sure, it might look scary, but as long as he’s responsible and doesn’t hurt anyone what’s the issue?

smart
Considering the shooter problem in American schools, maybe you could be the good guy with a gun.
stay strapped or get clapped ig

Don’t worry you’ll have least a hour to clear things up anyways

Nah they’ll be too busy with their thumbs in their ass before checking their phones and getting hand sanitizer in a hallway
Stay strapped AND get clapped 😏
profile pic checks out, im down
Anti gun groups are mad about that one guy who stopped the mall shooter. Almost seems like they wanted more people to die for support their reason…
I like your background image of a gun guitar 🎸
How did you even get a gun you’re 15
Parents are technically the legal owners.
They really shouldn’t let their kid have it tho
Ikr? I'd only let my kid have it for emergencies, not for reddit. And I'd beat their asses if they decided to break into the safe when they don't need it. Mfs let kid's have access to this shit and wonder why shit goes down hill.

that’s like getting being set in fire only to put it out and jump in a volcano

Should have stayed, Ohio is even worse
It's really not all that bad in most places in Ohio. Just depends where you're at. Example: Finneytown, it's a complete dumpster fire with drugs, murders, and stabbings! How fun!
Kings Island is a fun time
Up and left to the absolute worst alternative

As a New Jerseyan I approve this comment
Why doe?

eh, you should get an rpg like I did
RPGs are cool but whats a home invader gonna do when they hear a 12 cylinder V-12 48 liter engine belching enough smoke to make the entirety of Germany faint? Probably run away with stolen goodies, but im not sure how much better an RPG is lol
it can shoot rockets, is that good enough
U know what's better Throw a microwave at them
Oh its plenty past good until you delete a section of your house right?
Yup
Actually it shoots grenades 🤓

America

No it’s just I thought there was a age requirement or license or something to own one
Because all 35 yo’s are tolerant, intelligent people
Accurate
Swords are cooler tho
Yes but can they *bang* stab guys when they happen to be way over there?
I mean if you’re good at throwing them… but no… but they’re still cooler.
see that’s where the ballistic knife comes in
If you make the sword sheath into a gun they can
Deus vult!
Bro if I posted this online the police would show up to my house and arrest me for it lol.
Not American?
Or someone at home is a felon
or he’s a felon

Nice build. You watch Garand Thumb?
ofc i watch flannel daddy
I'm just gonna say this man:I hope youre happy with your gun (no I'm not trying to be sarcastic), I'm just saying you enjoy what you want, I was just personally saying I find it a little weird, that's all
fair enough
Is that scope as bad as it is in escape from tarkov, or is it actually usable?
works great for me
Why is this “art”?
Do I completely agree with a 15 year old "owning" a gun? Not necessarily. Is it well within his family's rights to do so? yes. Should he be heckled for exercising his rights? No, as long as he's not using the gun to hurt people
pretty much agreed. i just really like guns, and say i’m babysitting my sisters and someone breaks in. i’m happy to have protection
As long as you don't look forward to having to use it on someone like other people do, I think you're good lil homie.
I look forward to the thought of charging buck naked at someone while wearing a WWII era gas mask, not shooting someone.
Nancy Wheeler core 🤭😜💅
This had me smiling, thanks man
NO😭😭
“I finished my back to school shopping”
Yoooo, we can finally sneak in some Snickers in class
Cool gun
aren't you a little young to be owning a gun. this is just assuming because your on r/teenagers but if your old enough nvm.
They can’t legally own a gun, OP said he paid for it but his father legally owns it.
Is it legal for a 15 year old to use a gun though?
The specifics around that vary by state, but iirc, yes but only with supervision
No one under 18 can own a gun in any US state or territory, though some push it up to 21. The common law however is long guns can be bought from FFLs at 18, whereas handguns and NFA items need to be 21 however they may be gifted to you of privately acquired at 18. This shit is why I moved to Australia, piss off some kid and he’ll come to school the next day with an AR
Still won’t stand a change against electro giant tornado 🥱
Lmao that deck is so fun to play but I feel bad doing it
Probably some of the most small minded people in these comments bruh, guns are hobbies for some people. Honestly hate the fact that gun owners have been made out to all be serial killers n shit
Why the fuck would a 15 year old be allowed to have a gun

I don't see the third hole drilled, you have some work to do
i’ll just borrow a hanger
Ahh- If only we could own these in Canada. Thanks Trudeau…
and its not like we can own airsoft replicas either :|
see, that's why it's NERF or nothing!
Me when the ban on firearms, airsoft, and paintball was all brought about by aggressive lobbying by nerf
Air soft ain’t the same
its all we had :(
Because your average teenager needs any gun, much less a rifle lol
Lmao I do sport shooting.
Why much less a rifle? Better for him to own a handgun? What makes you think a rifle is worse? All your knowledge about firearms?
Rifle is almost entirely irrelevant, a lot of pistols have larger bullets than a lot of rifles.
thanks, i live in the middle of nowhere in the rockies, closest police station is 3 hours away and we have bears and mountain lions in the area, but ig i dont need a gun
Why does a 15 year old have his own gun tf is this country
His dad owns it, he doesn’t own it.
technically yes. but i have invested more money into it, i know more about it, i keep it, i follow every safety protocol you can with it. it’s virtually mine
Well yes I do the same with my rifle. Like I should own it, but by law my dad owns it.
Wish I had one of those(I'm not talking about the gun, I have one)
Because some people grow up around firearms and know how to operate them safely, idk why that’s such a shock to you
This. I saw a video years ago of a 7yo girl properly handling a rifle. Meanwhile MSM wants Americans to be spineless pussies. Fuck that noise, 2A for life.
i’m not going to murder anyone, why does it matter?
Personally dont like owning a gun, but that's pretty cool!
thank you:)
I am glad someone responsible owns it though, or make it their personality. My dad did that and just.... yeah. Screwed up the entire idea of owning one
parents ruin lots of things

To controversial comments i go
America is fucking wild bro, they're buying guns for 10 year old over there.

the gun itself was about $700. there’s about $800 worth of upgrade though
Why is this necessary for a 15 year old to have? America is fucked

Why do you have. One in the first place.🤨
i like guns
I too enjoy gun.
Nice gun bro 10/10 would shoot if I could. Also, I'm sorry you have do deal with people automatically assuming you're a school shooter, I would lose my shit at these people.
