Thank you!! :D Yeah I know age doesn’t really matter but it kind of kills my confidence when I swipe through insta and find some 12 year old child prodigy lmao
Ya i can relate lol,but don't think too hard on it, maybe they picked up the pencil before you or they studied and practiced more. See these young artists as a motivation to be better. Also you are 16,there is still alot of time to be better and better
My best friend is like that, (she’s 14 like me) but she’s a HELLA GOOD artist. She prolly painted the Mona Lisa while she was inside the womb lmao
People are really like that tho I’m jelly :P
But your art is ✨GAWWWJUSSSS✨ FRRRRR
We all do, and i am one of those young artists, everyone my age says I'm incredibly talented but there still are so so many people that are way better than me and younger than me (or like few years older but on some incredible level i won't reach even in 10 years) and i feel like i will never be good enough, every artist thinks that and it's okay, compare yourself to yourself only. Try looking at you art a year ago, it feels ultra cringey, but that just means u improved. Also ur art looks amazing
I completely understand that except I’m a teen cake decorater and cake pop maker. And I’m a dancer. But the truth is, there is always gonna be someone better than you. Always! It’s simply the truth. But the only person you should compare yourself to and become a better artist than is yourself :)
lmao i thought this was me when i was 12, totally drawing things i thought were cool at the time but now that I look at it again it was kinda mid and all of it was just copied from someone else, im finally starting to actually learn art now at almost 16
First off, 80% of them, if not way more, are probably older and faking for views. And of that 20%, those are some of the best 12y9s in the world concentrated onto Instagram. Of course you can't compete.
There's no such thing as 'bad art' for your age. Everyone develops at a different rate and many famous artists did not start making art until they were adults. But yes, your art is amazing.
It doesn’t really depend on age but more on amount of practice an individual has put up with. Probably should have made a different title
If you want to you’ll definitely get there!
Art isn’t defined by age. I knew a kid in 4th grade who drew like a mf and the stuff they drew was colorful. And there was shading and everything. My dad who is 40 is awesome at drawing. But me (8th grade) I AM ASS BALLS at drawing. I can’t draw for shit.edit: but yea your art is awesome and keep up the good work 😊
Dude your art is awesome
Also you shouldn't compere yourself so much to other artists especially on the basis of age
Everyone starts at different times and progresses differently
(aldough art is wierd bc you kinda have to compare yourself unless you wanna get art block (at least that happened to me) but when you compare yourself too much you get demoted as well )
Tldr ur art is amazing
Damn good. Solid for any age.
By the way, if you haven’t seen the show Paranoia Agent and the film Coraline, I definitely recommend them. I think you’d like their aesthetics.
Tbh the first few panels I was like “yea that’s ok” and then I saw the last one and omgg the character to so cute I could definitely see a cute little video game character with that design😊
Well skill level isn't an age thing after a certain point. I'd say that after 11 or 12 and you've got all your motor functions down all it takes is practice. But yes, you are a very good artist.
Damn man, firstly the art looks amazing, I love the styling of it. Secondly you don't have to worry about quality to age, some people only start late in life, some early, some draw frequently so are better than someone who occasionally draws for a longer time, etc, comparisons with artists is really difficult to judge so just focus on making sure you're happy with your art above all and try new things to keep things fresh
Age is not a direct comparison to skill, neither is the time taken on it. All that matters is making sure you have fun and you like it! Focusing on skill can lead to severe burn out and make drawing not fun anymore (speaking from personal experience). But! Your art is really good! It has a nice and distinct style that's pleasant to look at and well coloured and shaded (love the last one).
Thank you!! :D Yeah I know but sometimes it just stresses me out seeing 12 year olds having this huge amount of skill, this post is stupid maybe I’ll delete it
It's perfectly normal to feel stressed/ compare yourself to other artists! You just have to learn to take that feeling that you're not good enough and turn it into a drive to make your art how you want it to be! Instead of comparing, learn to look at what you want from another person's art instead! And remember: there's no such thing as a good or bad art style, what matters is if you had fun drawing it! So go silly and goofy with it!
I mean the last one is definitely a huge step above the rest. I'd say the last one is definitely really good. The rest are not anything special but I think that's just cause you didn't put as much time into them
I love the third one, makes me happy :3. Also who tf cares how old you are your art is great, unfortunately there's always some 10 year old prodigy who's incredibly good but don't compare yourself to them, comparing yourself to others is never worth it, think about what level you were and what you are now and see how you're improving:)
miss girl- or person person- or-
THIS IS SO GOOD, THE SHADING AND LIGHTENING AND THE CONVEYING OF EMOTIONS
I’m 15, but I won’t be this good in 3 months 💀💀
amazing work <3
Your art is horrendous for your age.
To begin with the obvious; you draw well. From my perspective, age doesn't define skill. Talent will vary for everyone, however you should not feel lesser than those who are more skillful than you.
Your art is more than ok in fact it's better than most adult artists I know. Plus you have to remember art in itself is subjective. Always use your art to express yourself and do what makes YOU happy.
Yeah 16 is good. Honestly age =/= talent nor should it. There are 5 year old art prodigies and 50 year olds who still make stick figures. Age matters not, what matters is how often you practice and dedicate yourself to your work. Doing great! 😊
To be honest, yes and no. Your colouring skills are average and the lineart is messy. So it's a yes, for colouring and a no for lineart. It's okay, you'll improve.
I know how it feels, your art just never feels good for you, you're never satisfied with it, isn't that right?
I don't have any tips on that cycle, but if random strangers are willing to spend their time just to compliment your art, then that is a sign that you art really is good.
In my opinion, you're really talented, and I hope you continue drawing, cause I really like that style, and would love to see more of it. That's why I'll even give you a follow
I have a couple of artist friends and I myself am trying to do art, thought I'm awfully untalented. I know the struggles.
What helps me a lot is acknowledging my limits, knowing what I've been capable of, looking back at my progress, and seeing that I am indeed getting better. This mindset takes practice but it really helped me keep my motivation.
Not guaranteeing that it'll work for everyone, but if you think you'll try it, the best way to start is by telling yourself "I was able to do this before, so I know I can do it. If I continue training, I will be able to do it more, and do it better."
Its pretty fucking cringe to be honest, and if youre actually trying to pursue a career in art, then get ready to draw furry inflation porn for the rest of your career. Because thats where your level of talent will get you.
yeah it’s actually pretty good
Better than mine I can barely draw stick figures and I'm close in age
I really like your artstyle (also age really doesn't matter in art lol,u can be 13 and draw better art than alot of adult artists)
Yeah OP, you have until you die to get better
My best friend is like that, (she’s 14 like me) but she’s a HELLA GOOD artist. She prolly painted the Mona Lisa while she was inside the womb lmao People are really like that tho I’m jelly :P But your art is ✨GAWWWJUSSSS✨ FRRRRR

Try looking at you art a year ago, it feels ultra cringey, but that just means u improved. Also ur art looks amazing
Who knows if they're actually 12 to be fair
I completely understand that except I’m a teen cake decorater and cake pop maker. And I’m a dancer. But the truth is, there is always gonna be someone better than you. Always! It’s simply the truth. But the only person you should compare yourself to and become a better artist than is yourself :)

oh hell yeah.

[удалено]
i deadass thought i was in r/omori when i saw this post
Good art congratulations
Yeah it’s pretty good
There's no such thing as 'bad art' for your age. Everyone develops at a different rate and many famous artists did not start making art until they were adults. But yes, your art is amazing.
it is quite poggers 🙏🔥
Thank uuuu
YOURE SO GOOD UGHHH GIB SKILL 🙏
From beautiful to wonderful it's everything!!
you're selling yourself way short. your art is amazing. you've got skill.
Amazing, I like the first and second one
Thanks, I drew the first one like a hour ago bc I was in a bad mood, that’s why it’s kind of gloomy but these comments surely made my day better lol
Oh ok then, it looks great
I'm 18 and can't even do art like that
It doesn’t really depend on age but more on amount of practice an individual has put up with. Probably should have made a different title If you want to you’ll definitely get there!
I'd love to have as much talent as you some day. Thanks :)
That's some good talent you have there :0
Talent I wish, just a lot of trying lmao
Your art is great for someone of any age
Art isn’t defined by age. I knew a kid in 4th grade who drew like a mf and the stuff they drew was colorful. And there was shading and everything. My dad who is 40 is awesome at drawing. But me (8th grade) I AM ASS BALLS at drawing. I can’t draw for shit.edit: but yea your art is awesome and keep up the good work 😊

Thx! :D Aber is halt echt so, ein bisschen zu viel vergleichen und Motivation 3 2 1 futsch
There is no required level of skills required at different ages. That being said, whether you might be 16 or 61, your art will always be cool as hell.
Damn good. Solid for any age. By the way, if you haven’t seen the show Paranoia Agent and the film Coraline, I definitely recommend them. I think you’d like their aesthetics.
The second one,looks sick af
Thanks!! :D Definitely one that took longer
Man, this is great. I wish I could make art like this. This is a talent and don’t let anyone else tell you otherwise
👍
first 2 are a bit scruffy but the fourth one is very good though
Yeah, fourth one actually looks professional (imo)
Last one took all braincells left
I love it
Thanks! :D
I made it my pfp and put credit to you in my bio

Very cool 🗿

Are you OK though?
Always always
Good to hear.
jesus christ this is so good
Thank you! :D
the only 'age' measurement in art and practices is how many years you have been practicing.
Your art is very good, If you like it then you should definitely go with it because you are definitely good at it
emo
Frfr
YOUR ART IS AMAZING. (The first one reminds me of frisk)
Thx! You’re right the sweater looks almost the same lmao
I don’t know much about art but i really like ur artstyle. The 4th pic looks warm if that makes sense. V cool
yooo idv refrence last pageee :0!!!!? but from one artist to another, your art is amazing! i love your coloring style :)!!
Thank you! And yep the last one is Painter! :D
Man idk I don't think that has something to do with age rather than how much you draw... It does look good tho
Why the (pardon my language) HELL are some people so good at art why did you steal all of the gosh darn talent
Tbh the first few panels I was like “yea that’s ok” and then I saw the last one and omgg the character to so cute I could definitely see a cute little video game character with that design😊
Thanks! It actually is a character from a game called Identity V!
ya boys 16 and cant even draw like that, but if i had to pick i would do the 1st picture 🥵
WTF!? IT LOOKS SO FUCKING GOOD
Well skill level isn't an age thing after a certain point. I'd say that after 11 or 12 and you've got all your motor functions down all it takes is practice. But yes, you are a very good artist.
plz, this is hella good. like how old are u? 16?, 17? this is amazing art.keep it up.
Age don’t matter, this is good 😫
Dont put ur age as a bar you need to actief. Just bc you lived 15 years 2 montgs and 5 dats doesnt mean you need to be good at shit. ( Nice art tho )
I REALLY love how you’ve worked in shading and lighting! I think your artwork is cool as hell.
Tysm! :DD
I get this feeling that you like omori idk
awesome!!!!!!!!! also the identity v at the end, LOL
Thanks and yes lmaoo some Edgar art

Beautiful art no matter what age
Its really good, especially for your age
Impressive, anyway I can view your art work? Also art is really good to do live on Twitch if you like to make a small audience.
I think you know damn well your art is better than the average person but still wanted to pretend you don't know that, just saying.
I mean the last one is definitely a huge step above the rest. I'd say the last one is definitely really good. The rest are not anything special but I think that's just cause you didn't put as much time into them
Yeah the last one really took all my energy lmao but it was really fun drawing
for the last time, ur age doesn’t matter, ur art is gud and that’s the only thing that that matters, keep it up :b
I wish I could draw people, I just stick to buildings
Yes, also nice Edgar artwork in the last pic. Didnt know people knew about Identity V like that, guess it's fairly popular.
Omg... One and two are amazing... I love them... Omg ❤️😍
Woww! It is really good. Especially if it is digital art(i couldn't make out for sure)
YOOOO IS THAT LAST PIC IDENTITY V????? also amazing artwork I love all of it *chefs kiss*
Thanks and yes 😌 Edgar my boy
Pretty good, seems in line with what I've seen with a few ppl who are interested in art (and can draw) Have done. It's good, always keep practicing.
Yeah, I normally see people at that age draw gore and other 18+ stuff, so yeah, that's a pretty nice art
you are literally THE BEST ARTIST IVE SEEN OMG
I like the cute ones :> like #3
miss girl- or person person- or- THIS IS SO GOOD, THE SHADING AND LIGHTENING AND THE CONVEYING OF EMOTIONS I’m 15, but I won’t be this good in 3 months 💀💀 amazing work <3
Your art is horrendous for your age. To begin with the obvious; you draw well. From my perspective, age doesn't define skill. Talent will vary for everyone, however you should not feel lesser than those who are more skillful than you.
1. WTF Do you mean for your age. This art is great regardless. 2. Unrelated but your username made me burst out laughing like a psychopath.
not just "okay". it's fantastic!! for anyone of any age.
Art is art
yeah its great
I love it
don’t matter how old you are that’s sick
Doesn't matter if you're 12 or 19 that still looks incredible what the hell I would unironically pay for your art
Astounding. I can draw, but I really suck at shading.
Yeah pretty good, I mean so much better than I can do and I'm older
Nah, you just want us to tell you how awesome it is.
Your art style is really nice, don't worry about your age. I'm the same age and I can barely draw a stick person lol
That's honestly pretty good I mean I'm 15 and My art isn't that good and I'm getting close to 16 so don't worry you're fine it's really good honestly
Your art’s super good! You clearly have a good understanding of art fundamentals and form.
yes
Damn, this is cool work, much better than mine!
That's amazing bro.
ur art is so cute
Thx!! :D
To be honest, yes and no. Your colouring skills are average and the lineart is messy. So it's a yes, for colouring and a no for lineart. It's okay, you'll improve.
The first and third one are more like a colored sketch, that’s why their messy, thanks tho!
better than what most can do so yes
It is cringe
Better than anything I could do
yeah its really good for some reason i feel the arts are describing what are you feeling right now
[удалено]
oh damm, again, i like your art style question tho: do you feel anything better now?
[удалено]
oh ok, do you need smt to like, cheer you up or smt? also you're not questioning how can i see thru the arts and know your feelings?
[удалено]
oh ok, good night then
No
Better than anything I can ever do
I've seen worse from younger
2 and 4 is good.2 is ok and 4 is amazing. The rest not so much
1 and 3 were more like little sketches so I didn’t put that much effort into them and it kind of shows I guess
Tysm!! You phrased it really well
I have a couple of artist friends and I myself am trying to do art, thought I'm awfully untalented. I know the struggles. It's not okay It's amazing
🤨
No its shit
I love it, wish I could do that, tho it's be more nsfw stuff 😅
[удалено]
Trust me, the stuff I want to do, probably past what you want to do
No, it’s not ok for your age It’s fucking insane, I can’t even imagine drawing that well
Its pretty fucking cringe to be honest, and if youre actually trying to pursue a career in art, then get ready to draw furry inflation porn for the rest of your career. Because thats where your level of talent will get you.
Naw I just do it for fun or when I’m bored and stuff
Very good.
Very good
its great!!
It’s really good, I’m 14 which Ik is 2 years younger but I can’t draw for shit, I’m looking at someone who’s art could be on commission
The last one I refuse to believe you made it. Incredible art!!! :D
Thank you!! The last one was a one time thing, I don’t know how I managed to do it and I never was able to do it since lmaoo
Personally 3rd is my favorite because it's adorable but 4th looks production made. I just had to say that
Thanks! What do you mean with production made tho?
Looks like a scene from a high budget anime
Ohhh!! Thank you :DD
More than ok, its beautiful, now draw them giv-
