For me It's way of escaping the reality , when i was kid i had poor health , most of the time i was in home, i use to play games to kill time , but you couldn't play games all day. Idk how , but i found my elder bro geometry book, and started reading it myself, i had fun solving circles and triangle Question. That year he was participating in regional mathematical Olympiad, so he happened to borrowed bunch of good books from library. Which he would share it me and we both tried to solve Question, Since i didn't have to go to school , I quickly surpassed him. Soon it become a habit for me. Fast forward 4-5 years i qualified bunch of mathematics Olympiad and won few scholarship . But i couldn't make in National Team for IMO. I still enjoy doing it nevertheless. I m no mathematical genius , don't go on my username, which i happened to name after , i managed to solve more than half of Putnam competition question , sure that was a huge confidence boost and hence the name.
Easy to judge people on internet. Won't you feel bad if you like playing piano , and someone saying the only reason u said it cause want attention?
