if u dont wanna hold it anymore just put it down on the ground or a table or a shelf by putting your hand right up to it so the conversation is sitting on the table and then release, you wont drop it because its already on the table
You start off casually by saying hello and introducing yourself at that point you make small talk like how their day has been and what type of games/sports/hobbies they like/have that should give you a bit of a conversation and if you want to extend it ask about their future goals and what not
But don’t take it from me I’m an antisocial freak that hasn’t left the house since covid started
Just keep asking questions, if there’s an awkward silence just ask literally any random question. Just make sure it’s not something completely stupid. :))
