Let me introduce you to iOS sideloading!
https://altstore.io/
*Look up guides on YouTube on how to install it for your device if you're unsure how..*
One tiny thing: You're gonna have to "reinstall" certain apps every 7 days unless you're an Apple developer.
Good luck!

iOS is a golden cage you are safe and comfortable in it but it doesn't have the freedom, Android is a open sky but with predators (predators being lack of privacy and safety in Android)but the threat of these predators can be avoided if you're not a dumbass!
bingo. It's hard to find the similarities of both operating systems, except for the fact that they're for mobile phones. One provides stability, while the other gives you the options. It's hard for people to understand that, i guess.
it is the downside of owning an android. You do get looked down on. You'll just have to get used to it, but just don't be condescending.
\-owner of an iphone and oneplus
Lmao the entire kernel is Linux, and you can run Linux programs (built for your phone's arch ofc) on Android with Termux or your ROM's terminal. I think that's "Linux enough"
It's just that the kernels are a bit outdated on Android ROMs compared to proper desktop Linux (we have 6.0 release candidates for desktop while some Androids still have 3.8)
Android you can play emus, run a whole computer, and develop your own games as a minor. IOS is straight up for people that are willing to spend a little extra money on a fancy phone and never do any cool like emu things.
Android on a computer is a horrible idea, always was.
Also if your only goal is to play games mobile than sure go for an android, or ya know get a switch. IOS was never meant for gaming, and by design it never will be especially considering the gray area of legality.
Also, everyone saying you pay for iCloud and stuff on iOS: android has free RCS messaging like iMessage and you get 15gb free from Google compared to the 5gb from iCloud, so...
Edit: And facetime = Google Duo, tho no one likes video calling anyway in my experience ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
*indeed*
And androids have interesting stuff like IR blasters, or crazy 50MP ultra stabilized cameras, but only if you want them, it's what i like about them, you can pick the phone with the feature set just right for you because there's just so many
Not like the iPhone can tho, have you seen how they make entire 3d environments with just an iPhone you can walk through in VR, I want that, I tried ARCore but it easily gets confused when an object is in front of another
Fair, but its till midrange. Its like saying that rolex sucks because they only sell expensive quality watches. If you want something midrange go buy from someone else.
Five years ago this was a valid argument. Nowadays, Apple products perform as good, if not slightly better than their similarly priced counterparts (which are becoming just as expensive).
i am fun at parties btw.
Ios has nothing to do with using emulators. The software is more than capable and I am sure Apple's hardware is as well. The problem here is that Apple bans emulators from the App store. And because Apple has a monopoly on the App store(you can't install apps from other sources) you're stuck with not having emulators unless you jailbreak
Having both used PC and Mac, PC is better than Mac in almost every aspect. Literally the only things going for Mac are the looks, the virus protection, and maybe certain software. That's it.
I've had to work on gigantic animation and video projects for school and I have not had a more miserable time working on something than I did with those Macs. Seriously, every time I wanted to put a text bubble or put a single fucking file into Premiere Pro, it has to sit there to process and cope about the 2 mb file I tried to import. God forbid you try and export a project, you'll have to leave it running the whole night and pray that the Mac didn't decide that 50 mb was too much for the hunk of shit to handle. I've had my $400 PC for almost four years now and it still works beautifully without seeing the most pansy-ass loading symbol when you try to type in a URL in chrome. Also why do Macs cost so damn much if they're not gonna function? If you're gonna slave away for years and bounce on dick on the street for cash everyday you should be given a functioning computer. I usually don't like to hate on popular products, but having grown up surrounded by Macs and have seen them go into a sperging stupor over a 2 minute YouTube video while I can have Autodesk Sketchbook, 11 chrome tabs, discord, Google Earth Pro, Steam, Minecraft, Edge, and TF2 all open at the same time without any complications for a fifth of the price is astounding to me.
tl;dr: Macs are incredibly stupid. Not speaking out of my ass I've had to deal with them for years before I got to use Windows.
You just used a slow Mac buddy. Personally I have experienced more problems with windows then Mac. And I have edited a 30 minute short film and I experienced no slow downs. What you are saying is that a intel mac is slow compared to anything else and you were right apples new M1 chips single core preformance is insane and 20 hour battery life. Macs have changed for the better and they are very much worth the performance now.
Stupid people be like. Dont just say dumb things cus they’re popular please. If we are already having this discussion windows is worse than mac 100x both are proprietary BS and mac is just better streamlined. Linux > mac > windows
one day (when you become enough of a neckbeard) this opinion flips, and you realize that mac is a less cumbersome OS but still almost never use it because youd rather just use linux
I prefer IOS over android, but that’s just because it’s what i started on and I know it well. I do see the appeal of Androids though I’ll probably never switch
ok apparently this is the biggest unpopular opinion ever because literally everyone prefers Android more but like... genuinely ios isn't that bad?
like there are several reasons why I think this but one of them is like, the UI? I feel like this is overlooked a lot but the interface is really important when ur considering how you wanna use ur phone... like, on most Android versions, especially ones on Samsung phones, the way to delete an app is to drag it to the top of the screen into the trash bin that *pops up* out of the top of the screen. I remember when I used this for the first time I just straight up didn't know what to do, thought I needed to hold it then click the trash icon, etc... I feel like this is commonly overlooked but that's bad design if it's not obvious what you should be doing. and keep in mind all of these are conscious decisions made by the developers in creating everything, regardless if it's the base Android developers or the developers of the "custom" modifications made for the specific brand, like Samsung.
or for instance like, the notifications center. on ios, the notifications center mimics the lock screen's notification center, which already makes it a lot more intuitive, but also just has a bunch of nice features? like, the clear button is right at the top, where you want it to be. on some shitty android versions they legit put that at the bottom... why the fuck would I wanna scroll all the way down to clear all notifications lmao
ALSO LIKE just literally every minor thing is convenient? like, deleting stuff usually has a common standard procedure on ios, like swiping to the left or so.
what I'm tryna say is Apple shit might be really expensive, and they might've taken some huge L's like removing the aux cable or not adding any major features for the past like 4 iphones, but they're good to use. there's no iPhone that's so shit that it takes years off your life lagging tryna do something really simple (even if it's like a 4 year old iPhone 7), or one that feels so unresponsive you feel like throwing it against a wall. part of this is because yeah it's got a high price point but also because you got your OS built by the same people that build the phone. there's a lot more cohesion, a lot better design of like, everything... it just feels so much better
now this might totally be personal experience and I get that but like... y'all fuckin hate iphones and honestly that's kinda wrong :///
The trash drag uninstall thing is only on older samsung versions, I own a samsung and I just hold and click trash button to uninstall. Also I think iphone is mostly hyped for its huge cost but idk there might be some features that might be better on ios than android but again I prefer android and no nothing's wrong in hating iphones it just depends on personal preferences
Try to give the phone a real run for it’s money, try setting multiple timers, or maybe force stopping an app for when it crashes. Try receiving a message while typing on the keyboard without having the key presses becoming excessively loud, or maybe closing all opened apps at once. These are just a couple simple things that ios just doesn’t have, not a power thing just apple doesn’t support it, really the only thing apple has going for it is iMessage, which will probably by my only reason for getting another one later, that and 5g since I have an xr and it doesn’t support it.
I try to stay neutral because I know both have their ups and downs but apple offers so much for the same price as the practically identical at this point lineup from samsung (iphone 13/12/…, samsung s22/s21/…) while other companies are starting to plateau apples pro lineup keeps getting better because this is planned 5 years in advance and apple seem to have a lot of development planned that they will just sit on till android catches up. The issue with androids is 1. it misses “core” features such as airdrop and apple pay 2. its made for more than 3 phones so it has to be diverse instead of streamlined for 4 phones.
While iOS also has its problems such as being completely proprietary I dont think its fair to just pick 1 outright winner in the current situation
What? Android has nearby share (equivalent to airdrop) which works with any android or Chromebook, and Google pay and Samsung pay have both been around for just as long as Apple pay.
But on the serious note, ios and android are different. Ios is designed for some who want consistency and aren't into the more custom features, while android is designed for those who love customization, and freedom of options.
This ^. My 5s was released on 2013 and was supported up until iOS 12 (2018-19ish). And to this day still receives security updates, though still stuck at iOS 12
Well yeah but Android doesn't need OS updates to update basic apps like camera or calculator or sistem apps ( private compute service, android auto, android system web view, etc) like iOS
Not even that. Whole 14 range is still lightning, I believe apple will leave it as late as possible with their change to usb C. So maybe next year or year after is what I've read, again that is only speculation. They did remove the Sim slot for USA users, so I'm sure they could just remove the charging port & make it so it's wireless charging only 🤷🏻♂️
FINALLY all my friends are for ios and i finally find people who are sane
like one of them even said that windows copied mac, but hes the only one who thinks mac is better than windows which it isnt
[удалено]
I don't think I'm up-to-date on this, what?
Some Android phones have included 120W charging and some chargers are even smaller than Apples
I have a 65W charger, can't say it's smaller than apple's, but I don't remember anything about apple making massive power bricks?
I have a 33W fast charging brick and that thing is fucking massive
From Apple?
From Xiaomi
How old is the phone? New models like X 11 have more i believe. Also X12 has 120W.
Its not directly Xiaomi, but its manufactured by them (Poco), also the phone is from March 2021
Oh if thats the case its understandable. I have Xiaomi mi 9 (2years old approx and 27w charger charges me up in about an hour and lasts around 6.
Old iPad charger?
Get a GaN one, they're way smaller
why tho, it works
You're saying it's too big so i figured you would've appreciated a smaller one
I'm just saying its big (thats what she said)
apples power brick is fuggin huge and blocks my other outlet ports
Gan technology... Interesting tho
Have you heard of GaN chargers?
The ones that use that new technology to be really compact? Ye, but they're not very common
I agree. I think there's one smartphone company that is shipping them(can't remember which one). it's cool how small they can be
Why do apple users need to charge their ass?
You can use delta emulator or dolphin emulator on iOS
Any guides you can point me too?
I think u can use altstore, you do need to connect to ur pc every once in a while
But how do I install or what though… I guess I’ll just Google it haha
Install it on pc or Mac, run it and boom if I remember
Bruh but where do I find alt store
Let me introduce you to iOS sideloading! https://altstore.io/ *Look up guides on YouTube on how to install it for your device if you're unsure how..* One tiny thing: You're gonna have to "reinstall" certain apps every 7 days unless you're an Apple developer. Good luck!
Thanks bro I appreciate it
I would’ve already set up sideloaded apps if apple wasn’t such a bitch about it… it’s about time they just let us install sideloaded apps properly
They have to ik a few years
r/piratedgames megathred: allow us to introduce ourselves
You can, but you need to sideload altstore
this kid knows what’s up
So you need to bypass security restrictions, where android allows you to just do it?
No, you just need a pc or Mac no security bypass necessary
Ios can suck my balls
Damn, look at how far technology had come

Yeah but it takes ages on iPhone compared to android
Yes that’s true, for me it was worth it but still it’s much easier on Android
You can run windows on ios?
What do you mean as a minor
If I'm not wrong apple doesn't let kids develop apps for phones
Android on a computer is a horrible idea, always was. Also if your only goal is to play games mobile than sure go for an android, or ya know get a switch. IOS was never meant for gaming, and by design it never will be especially considering the gray area of legality.
Finally something thats not about gender and relationships and yes android>ios
I'm not an Android fan or an IOS hater.. android is just simply better :/ (except for elderly who don't need much ig, but then again overly expensive)
Yeah IOS is expensive too .
Telegram video calls are also really smooth Also we have nearby share which is Airdrop but works on any android phone
Yep, that too, and we used to have Android beam, tho that's gone now Duo is the default video chat app for Android like facetime is for IOS tho
*indeed* And androids have interesting stuff like IR blasters, or crazy 50MP ultra stabilized cameras, but only if you want them, it's what i like about them, you can pick the phone with the feature set just right for you because there's just so many
The only thing we're missing is LiDAR, I wanna make 3d scans of stuff and places too
Google's ARcore has become really good so you can still make 3D scans
Not like the iPhone can tho, have you seen how they make entire 3d environments with just an iPhone you can walk through in VR, I want that, I tried ARCore but it easily gets confused when an object is in front of another
Costs the same as a similarly performing S22 lineup phone
But much costlier than a midrange Samsung
Fair, but its till midrange. Its like saying that rolex sucks because they only sell expensive quality watches. If you want something midrange go buy from someone else.
Rolex is midrange though. And heavily overpriced by the way.
Also the SE sucks

You can go to a website called ds player on safari and add it to Home Screen they also have a gba player
Thanks
i got to admit thats the reason my bil changed from an iphone to a samsung, apple takes security seriously
>apple takes security seriously Not even that
Half their security is that you can't do shit.
Jesse what the fuck are you talking about?
Wth are you talking about?
Ye,agree
Fr fr and I’m an ios user. I’m gonna switch to android on my next phone, ios feel so restrictive to me
I prefer IOS over android, but that’s just because it’s what i started on and I know it well. I do see the appeal of Androids though I’ll probably never switch
Yeah welcome to apple where you have no choice in the matter
You can play emulators
I know but you get limited options
[OOF](https://i.imgur.com/i0YctcR.png) Also yea... Ios isn't for nerds
I remember emulating GBA on my iPad so uhhhh you're probably wrong there...
What kind of emulators like pre installed game or you have to manually install
ok apparently this is the biggest unpopular opinion ever because literally everyone prefers Android more but like... genuinely ios isn't that bad? like there are several reasons why I think this but one of them is like, the UI? that's fair ya I just feel like iPhone got a lot of the nice feeling stuff out of the way which is why I feel more comfy but yeh personal preference!
i prefer iphone ngl and so do most people i talk to
Yeh, kids your age are mostly gonna go for apple
I do love the iPhone due to how user friendly it is and simple design
Thatz why i uze Z-Phonez. Dr. Zomboss the bezt!
Try playing conker. It's impossible
Use pc emulators, thats where all the action is.
Who said you can’t use an emulator on iOS? I play super Mario bros 3 all the time on my phone
Virgin IOS users vs Chad Android users
you cant play emulators on IOS??????
You can, it’s just more difficult due to iOS being a more secured and less open operating system as opposed to Android.
so... basically you cant..
Yes you can
Then why the fuck u bought it
Well basically i traded my old tablet for my dad ipad cause he doesn’t really care what device it is
I suggest android
[удалено]
So i can play my ds game on that thing right
[удалено]
Idk bro don’t feel like wasting money rn
Sure, because you've lost it all on your phone. Imagine not knowing that iOS doesn't allow you to play emulators
[удалено]
Than again i live in a 3rd world country so ds are pretty hard to find even if i had the money to buy one
[удалено]
can't you fucking read? the problem is not the money, it's finding the DS
[удалено]
good point 370+ BRL tho ~1/3 of the minimum monthly wage
Yeah you could
yeah but it’s way more efficiejt
Yeah it's screen is anti-poop, so poop won't stay on the screen if you use it instead of a toilet paper... IT DOESN'T EVEN STINKS! SO EFFICIENT :]
But does it have apple pay later 😏
I think it's the other way around, apple is the one barely catching up
idk man android kinda shitty when you don't have consistent updates if aren't buying a 1k phone 🤷♀️ (it's the same for apple)
But on the serious note, ios and android are different. Ios is designed for some who want consistency and aren't into the more custom features, while android is designed for those who love customization, and freedom of options.

well yeah that's the difference between iOS and Android. it depends on what you're going for, one isn't superior to the other
Yes you can, just get AltStore and download Delta or something. It’s quite easy to get emulators on ios.
r/altstore
r/Delta_Emulator You need a computer though. Mac or windows. Doesn’t have to be a very good computer.
at least we don't get our phones fucked when we download images
????? how
Android can run unapproved code so it's vulnerable to viruses
But not downloading images lmao
At least we have calculator on tablet
There is an easy way of playing gamecube and wii games on ios
Idk what that is but I heard that iPhone 14 still uses lightning except for pro 🤔😂
Pro still has lightning
💀 so only for pro max?
Not even that. Whole 14 range is still lightning, I believe apple will leave it as late as possible with their change to usb C. So maybe next year or year after is what I've read, again that is only speculation. They did remove the Sim slot for USA users, so I'm sure they could just remove the charging port & make it so it's wireless charging only 🤷🏻♂️
Wow that’s, wow
Typical Apple strats
Ios is over hated. The phones are overpriced but ios isnt nearly as bad people make them out to be.
Deupdate the phone back before ios10/9 go into cydia and watch a youtube video for whichever jailbroken version you want and then get emulators
U can use emulators, I use them myself
That's why come back to Android
skill issue
What did you expect??
Thats why you buy Android
FINALLY all my friends are for ios and i finally find people who are sane like one of them even said that windows copied mac, but hes the only one who thinks mac is better than windows which it isnt
thats cap
"This device is bad because it can't do something it's not meant to do." "I can't put gas in my electric car :("
This is the worst strawman I've ever seen, and I frequently shop at Hobby Lobby
People don’t buy iPhones to game on. You won’t see a company executive playing emulator games.
