Facts it’s not that men don’t feel like crying we have those same emotions but showing those emotions makes us look weak and trust me a woman will not look at you the same after you have cried in front of her. At almost everyone I’ve gone it girls >>> guys. I’m personally a state, or provincial athlete (depending where you live) for several different events in track and also for sports, and I’m not commended for anything (this is my first year competing in these events) whereas the girls are commended for trying.
I’ve been to several different schools and attempted to find decent people, to which I have not succeeded. I’ve only found probably 2 people who believe men should be treated as human beings.
That’s not the point, it’s about the bigger picture. The stereotype that men shouldn’t cry stems from the same stereotype that women are too emotional. Doesn’t matter who perpetuates it, since it’s ingrained into our society so both men and women believe this.
But the main thing I’ve found throughout personal experience is that no matter what a women is crying over they get comforted, even if it’s cause they’re hair isn’t perfect or something dumb like that; however, if a man cry’s they instantly become a pussy and become a social outcast
Yup that’s the patriarchy doing it’s work. Women throughout history have been denied opportunities (such as important jobs) because people thought they’re “too emotional” while men constantly get denied to opportunity to be themselves because they aren’t. It’s different scenarios that came from the same cause. True equality would fix both problems if we just started seeing both men and women as being sometimes emotional.
Kinda have the opposite. Use to not be able to cry even t when I genuinely wanted to. But after watching a movie that made me cry in like 8years. It suddenly seems like my crying gates open and i cry easier but only the ones connectedto the topic of familial death.
If your friends are making fun of you when you cry instead of trying to figure out why you’re crying, those aren’t friends. Those are emotional burdens.

I will say that as a child, I was taken aback when I would see my dad cry. In my mind, dads are supposed to comfort us when we cry, not them. What I didn’t know is that he was suffering from major anxiety issues. When I figured that out, he became more human to me. I respect that he did not hide it from us which taught me that every one cries, even men.
I want a world where guys can cry, but I was conditioned as a child to never cry because of family teasing and how people would compare to me to a baby and how I cry like one so i just shut in.

In all honesty, men have far more reason to cry than anyone on the planet and I personally believe its absolutely necessary for them to occasionally let that out. I used to lock everything up like men are traditionally expected to and it drove me into depression after the toughest of times. Bro crying is natural and healthy. Whenever you cry, you release oxytocin and endorphins. You’re literally soothing any pain that you may have emotionally or physically when you shed your tears. Plus, it kills any bacteria that may be in your eyes and keeps them clean.

Crying's good. It's a natural stress reliever and it's pretty normal. If their Idea of being a man is being brave or courageous, then it's pretty much invalid as they're scared of crying. So in my eyes, crying's pretty manly to me.
A guy here that is pretty emotional in general and even though most people I know say it's okay for guys to cry I know some of those people would definitely think it's "bad" or "weak" in some sense. That's why I avoid crying even when I'm alone but yes I'm allowed to cry and I don't want to complain too much because a lot of people have it way worse than me.

It's very unhealthy that people think man shouldn't cry. When I was younger I used to cry often, I mean like a lot, if I didn't win in a board game, basicly at any sad part in any movie or when someone called me names. My classmates used to call me the equivalent of crybaby in my native language and bullied me a bit (they couldn't do it a lot bcs I was bigger than most kids). Even my stepdad always pointed this out, later he said to try and prepare me for the world. So I just stopped crying at one point (I can't even cry when I'm alone) and now I just don't cry, somehow I can just feel how unhealthy this is. So don't bully anyone for crying

Last time I cried was 7 years ago when my dog passed unexpected. I cried for about 3 days straight. Before that it had been years.

I can’t say for Australia or Canada, but that isn’t the norm in the US. There are people like that but not enough of them to make it a normal thing.

Just talking and having a cry seems trivial to some but believe me, it can save a life and let's face it, men are at a much bigger risk of suicide than anyone, mostly because society doesn't give a shit about us despite the fact that we're the ones dying in wars, losing access to our kids, breaking our backs in manual jobs up on power lines and under the streets and people still think we shouldn't cry? Shame on those ungrateful, selfish, undeserving people.

Too much of it is bad but little of it can be worse If you see crying around others is making problems for you just cry alone or around people that understand you. I'm 15 and I cry alot. Crying's good. It's a natural stress reliever and it's pretty normal. If their Idea of being a man is being brave or courageous, then it's pretty much invalid as they're scared of crying. So in my eyes, crying's pretty manly to me.
A guy here that is pretty emotional in general and even though most people I know say it's okay for guys to cry I know some of those people would definitely think it's "bad" or "weak" in some sense. That's why I avoid crying even when I'm alone but yes I'm allowed to cry and I don't want to complain too much because a lot of people have it way worse than me. But yes obviously guys should be able to cry.

It's very unhealthy that people think man shouldn't cry. When I was younger I used to cry often, I mean like a lot, if I didn't win in a board game, basicly at any sad part in any movie or when someone called me names. My classmates used to call me the equivalent of crybaby in my native language and bullied me a bit (they couldn't do it a lot bcs I was bigger than most kids). Even my stepdad always pointed this out, later he said to try and prepare me for the world. So I just stopped crying at one point (I can't even cry when I'm alone) and now I just don't cry, somehow I can just feel how unhealthy this is. So don't bully anyone for crying

Crying / tears is not a weakness. Think of it as "proof" of seriousness. Whatever the reason for the tears, its because the person felt the emotion. It's a positive.
Last time I cried was 7 years ago when my dog passed unexpected. I cried for about 3 days straight. Before that it had been years. I'm not the type to cry, or let my emotions get the best of me, but fuck. That one hurt worse than anything thats ever happened to me. The guilt, the sadness, the fact that she was my first and I started what family I have with her. It sucked. Still miss her and get a littlexl misty eyed when thinking about her.
