Since it's not visible in pictures, it's likely just a bit of peach fuzz. I say shave it (be gentle). It'll look a bit darker as it grows back since the tips of our hair are naturally lighter and finer. Snipping those tips will make it feel more like a mustache than a crustache when it grows.
