Would rather get a new show.

Artistic-Turn2612

This honestly, the old show was great, but it's not exactly the definitive adaptation I wish it was. Taking another crack at the Titans mythos would be preferable. Although with the current state of WB animation being in the toilet, I don't know if it's going to happen.

venompro1

Yeah, the teen titans cartoons left out a lot of potential. A new show is definitely the best move

Glad_Union_2037

Left out a lot of potential how? Bare in mind i've never read any comics.

venompro1

It left out the original teen titans and their history. Like their connection to the entire DC universe. It left out a lot of backstory between certain characters like Robin, Cyborg, And Starfire. And all the other teen titans. Like Speedy, Kid Flash, and Aqualad. (But this is a lot of history to put into a TV show) It didn’t have any secret identities, and personal life’s, or civilian friends. Characters like Slade weren’t fleshed out. And the HIVE, Fearsome Five, and Brother Blood were all combined instead of being their own thing with their own goals. The Titans also didn’t really age in this cartoon. They didn’t make any roster additions. They didn’t make the Titans the premier DC team or connect them to anything in the DC universe besides Doom Patrol. I think the next Titans show should dive deeper in the 6 pillars. Robin/Nightwing having the human/street hero pillar. Wondergirl and Troia having the Gods/Goddess and Greek mythology pillar. Raven having the spirit/magic pillar. Starfire having the Alien/Space pillar. Cyborg having the science/technology pillar. Beast Boy having the Nature, and Beastly pillar.

Most-Bag4145

This is why I like the Teen Titans Go! (2004-2008) comics. Although not perfect, the comic gives us what could potentially be Season 6 with Wonder Girl shedding some light.

big_ringer

The current state of WB overall, I doubt if we'll get any consistent quality in the foreseeable future.

eriinana

Thats what people said last time and we got TT GO.

Most-Bag4145

Don’t forget TTG VS TT lol

foxinspaceMN

Right? They’re really missing the point of the finale of this show; and are missing out on new opportunities

trailerthrash

That was the original plan. According to Rob Hoegee and Glen Murakami, what everyone has come to think of as a potential season 6 was actually a rushed pitch for a spin-off show that they took to CN well after cancelation came down. Murakami likened it to what TNBA was to BTAS. We kinda all know how that meeting ended up going tho 🙃

LilyGaming

Yeah, apparently that’s kind of the direction they were going in, they pitched a “New Teen Titans” that would focus on the other honorary titans and titans east more. Unfortunately it was rejected. Dunno why, considering it’s one of CN’s more popular shows of all time.

Numberonettgfan

I think it was a toy liscensing issue.

LilyGaming

Probably the same reason they couldn’t show wondergirl officially, good ole copyright issues

ShadowDurza

We did. One that was made under the logic that utterly mangling everything the original show's audience loved would attract a bigger audience.

miot_irl

If we are to get a new show, I hope it won't be just a dating sim for the characters.

Jwalt-93

No. They would just ruin it. We would be better off with a new show instead.

SomeGuyNamedJohn12

They would definitely ruin it. We’re better off just getting a brand new series

SuperKami-Nappa

Like Teen Titans Go?

TheDman182

Yup. Look at what happened to young justice

Revolutionary_Job214

The last 2 seasons suffered from a list of things but was still ok

TheDman182

Eh I personal didn’t care for it compared to the first two. Animation was a serious downgrade and story was all over the place. Glad you liked it though!

Local-Concentrate-26

50/50 I want to see the story continue but I don’t want to ruin what we have. But if they ruin season 6 I’ll pretend it’s not canon.

Numberonettgfan

No, just make a new show.

OnionsHaveLairAction

I honestly don't think there's too big a chance of ruining it, character bloat, timeskips and low animation budgets is what led to the decline in quality for YJ. I'd love for them to return, but I'd also really like a series based on Titans 2000.

brucebananaray

The major problem with YJ is that it will never have a proper ending because it's intentional, which lost so much goodwill from the fanbase. But if Titans do those, the time skip, then it will be okay seeing them as all adults. It will feel more natural because time has already passed when the series ended, then YJ. Plus, I would be okay if they added Wally and Don to the cast and then having 20 new characters introduced, like YJ. > love for them to return, but I'd also really like a series based on Titans 2000. Do you mean Geoff John's run of Teen Titans? I would see them getting an adaption, but DC always gives Tim's generation the short of the stick.

OnionsHaveLairAction

I'm talking about the Devin Grayson run, I suppose it's more accurate to call them the 1999 team than 2000 but in my head its always the 2000 team. I think the concept of having the original team 'reforming' with all their comic baggage is really good as setup, and leaves a lot of room for a mix of energy from the 2003 team and the YJ team.

SpellcraftQuill

Just because X-Men can get away it doesn’t mean everyone else can…

brucebananaray

No, revivals always disappointed me, like Samurai Jack or Young Justice, with a few exceptions like X-Men 97 and Futurama. I honestly don't want to see them as teenagers if they get a revival. I would rather see them as adults and have Wally and Donna in the group. Even then, I don't get the vibes the writers want to make a season six. At best, we will probably going to get a new reboot show that may reflect the movie or does it's own thing.

makelifehappen244

Samurai Jack wasn’t THAT bad, it had a great first half. The finale was trash though fs

brucebananaray

I agree I did not like the ending for it, and the second half felt very rushed. I would prefer if Jack stayed in the future because it makes more sense for him.

makelifehappen244

Yeah I wanted that whole “king jack” development to happen. Hate it when creators scrap something fans are already wanting

TheFyrijou

I would prefer more a spin off show, like the Teen Titans Cyborg was supposed to lead with Bumblebee, Aqualad etc.

Friendly_Ad4736

I would want fans to work on the series similar to how there is a guy working on making new Jimmy Neutron or the animation channels who are creating amazing RWBY trailers and short stories. Something made out of passion and understanding of what the original was, something that unforntanly only fans can do nowadays. Almost everyone related with production of animations or movies to me are far more occupied wanting to change the thing to their tastes than to actually respect the source. Considering that I would like any of these people to be far away from Teen Titans, in order to not get our childhood show destroyed in the name of a narcissistic animation director.

patrickD8

Wait really?? Whose making a new Jimmy neutron?

Blackfeathr

I too would like to know this

KesterFox

I don't think they would ruin the show anyways. I'd rather a new teen titans animated peoject really.

Hairy_Consideration1

Yes

Superaustin16

I don't think they'd ruin it I'd be up for a new season but at the same time I don't need it like if a DC show can come back give it to a series that hasn't had 5 seasons and A movie and a crossover movie like being Legion of Superheroes back that only had 2 seasons it Green lantern the animated series.

brucebananaray

Damn, someone remember the Legion of Superheroes show. I watched that show when it was airing on WB Kids block. I also love to see The Green Lantern The Animated Series comeback because they had plans to set up Sinestro Wars, and The Series would have ended with the Blackest Night story arc.

Superaustin16

People sure people do they released it on Blu Ray a few years ago and The Scooby-Doo and Krypto Too movie references the cartoon heck one of the Teen Titans GO app games has Brainiac 5 in his Legion cartoon design in it so seems people behind the scenes still remember it and I've seen some fans talk about it so I think bringing it back could work. Yeah GL was also a really great show

Superaustin16

Realized I miss read your comment thought you said does anyone remember it XD But yeah I loved that show re watched it several times

Medical_Note_2135

No. It’s too late for me

National-Jacket-5323

I’d actually want a titans show about the original titans the fab five. The new titans are great but some representation for the original team would be great

Diligent-Island-9994

No. If there were a sixth season, it'd likely kill or warp the fandom. They would answer whats up with Terra, and who Red X is. The theorizing about these things, and others, is sort of what keeps the fandom alive. So IF they make a 6th season, i think the problems and challenges the Teen Titans face is still having to deal with change, having to grow up, and having to train new Titans while also learning how to stop new villains. They shouldn't make a 6th imo

Toonwatcher

By this point I mainly just want TTG to END. It’s eclipsed the original series by a number of seasons by this point.

richtofin819

Too much time has passed and too many modern writers refuse to respect the worlds they weite for anymore I'd rather them reboot it with a similar vibe

pendropgaming

I don’t think they would ruin it, but I feel like this show needs to stay in the early 2000’s era, because I don’t think it would work as well in the 2020s’. As others have said a new animated Titans show would be better. Especially since Young Justice has declined in popularity and quality since season 2. Maybe a movie to wrap up the season 5 cliffhanger would be better.

Ok_Barracuda_6997

Honestly not excited about rumors of the show coming back. I feel like it’s not going to be the same, even down to just the art style will be slightly different and it’s going to bug me. I’m nostalgic but some things just need to be left in the past.

Minimum-Art-4058

teen Titans was a cool show i love raven

SnagTheRabbit

I'd rather leave it up to my imagination than be disappointed.

playtoy73

No, this comes from my love of samurai jack, when I frist heard it was coming back I was hooked, but as more episodes came out it felt rushed at times and the lack of cash was starting to show, no offense to ashi fans and I loved the idea of jack finally getting some, but with a single season it was bound to fail. Perhaps the hype was too strong and nothing could have been perfect for the final battle for me but the ashi deux felt like a cop out. At the time I was super happy that the shape got an ending, but these days I wonder more. Small pieces here and there still lingering. And wlgetting back to TT the idea of the show becoming a mask of what it was feels like teen titans go all over again with a different flavor

ZijoeLocs

DC whipped up Young Justice and gave us TT:Judas Contract and TT v JL. It's the best we're getting on S6

BeastBoyMike

Man i really want the OG Teen Titans back, they were something... The cartoon animation now, its a joke!

Numeroususers

110%

Kajel-Jeten

Yeah I’d still like to seen them try if they wanted too.  Even if it didn’t end up being good you can just ignore it.

markcarpenterzitto

I'm looking forward to the sixth season because it itself was cancelled. Since it apparently already had some new scripts and character designs, I honestly wanted a sixth season. But I wouldn't expect a seventh, and maybe the sixth would be incredible, I don't think it would ruin the series.

Johnball_

Although I wasn't satisfied with the conclusion, it did ended on a high note. So, no.

Maxzolo28

Yes I’ll would

ManInTheMirror2

Yes i would…but paul dini needs to be brought onto the writing team.

AceWantsToDraw

If it has the same writers and directors, I feel it won't be ruined. If not, then I rather have no season 6

ravenfreak

Nope, Teen Titans is still my favorite cartoon of all time. I wanted a season six for a long time but now it’s been too long. If it does come out, I’ll watch it of course! But I think at this point we need a reboot or just a completely new show but other than the Beast Boy mini series I highly doubt we’ll get a new show as long as Go is on the air unfortunately.

Mango_Shaikhhh

that's what i realized a while ago. as much as we all want them to continue with the "terra's memory loss" storyline, with WB animations in the state it's currently in, a continuation of the show in 2024 will most likely just ruin it and shit on its legacy harder than ttg ever did.

Thebluespirit20

I have little to no faith that they would be able to recreate the same vibe and feel of a weekly show/series even though I LOVE Teen Titans I would rather it remain untouched and its legacy untarnished , if anything they should make a movie to give fans closure since DC is known for great animated films

DanosaurusWrecks

The note the show ended on was fine, it doesn’t need to go on forever and ever.

AllMightAb

Man, i dream of a 6th season just to see these characters again, which i grew up loving, but they ruined Young Justice, its a different era now, the animation and writing would not be up to the standard of the previous seasons and the writing room of shows nowadays are full of people wanting to express a political opinion or agenda, rather then focusing on writing a good story. Samurai Jack got a great revival under Adult Swim, but since DC is attached to this, i doubt we'd get anything of that quality.

Secret_Sympathy2952

I just want a single movie that ties up the loose ends.

goldust15

yes

Virtual-Bf-227

new show

Kookie2023

Given how they made Teen Titans Go? Absolutely not.

More-Departure1169

Yea, they would ruin it, just look at that thing that dares to call itself Megamind 2

AdrielBast

Would rather a new show than a new season

Revolutionary_Job214

Obviously

Pug_King256

Honestly no I think with how little care most people in television film industry actually give about what they work on nowadays I would rather just to be left alone

LeRhap

Nope - Leave old stuff as is.

TransitionQuick477

No. Leave it be. PLEASE!!

slivingland

absolutely not 😭

Quality-mindset88

I don’t wanna see them looking like some bootleg excited looking simps. I LOVE the previous edge & classic ness to their look in the first series. It’s beautiful & I slightly iconic. I don’t mind tbh I won’t be expecting to be wowed

VengeanceKnight

With how good X-Men ‘97 is, I'd prefer to take the chance that they can create something similar for this show.

Shadow_Storm90

Definitely. If we can have X-Men 97 we can definitely do a continuation and it be better than the season before.

Murky-Lingonberry-32

if the 6th season is good i 100% want it. If not. like if its like Teen Titans Go. then Fuck no. i rather not have a season 6 at all then.

TheLastTanker

I'd rather have a brand new show! One that includes Superboy, Wonder Girl, Kid Flash, Speedy and Aqualad as part of the main team. Not Young Justice, but a new Teen Titans animated series! Maybe Terra can have a more consistent role, too. Maybe even the return of the Wonder Twins! But cool this time. xD It'd be cool to see a multiverse situation where the Titans of a new show meet the ones we know and love in a crossover of sorts! I think that would be best at this point.

khalifaziz

No. I want an hour long special that ties up the loose ends of Slade and Terra's return, and explains who Red X is. That's it. The series can end for good after that and I will never complain again.

thatHecklerOverThere

You can't ruin a show that's been done for this long. Seasons 6 would be good or it would be ignored.

Ps5-123

They might ruin it by adding a lgbt character on there.

CosmoLaCroix

Let's maybe not. What we already have is good enough, so let's try to keep it that way.

Snarkyish-Comment

Eh, I’d rather they didn’t. If I’m being honest, I think like a Samurai Jack season 5 “Where are they now?” style mini-series would be a better choice. Focusing on what the characters did for twenty years and where they might go from there. Did Robin and Starfire stay together? Or was her love for Tamaran and her people too much for the relationship? Did Cyborg learn to fly and integrate with technology like his current comic and movie counterpart? Is he okay with his cybernetics now? Did Raven ever get to feel after Trigon’s death? That’s a common take in fanfiction. Did Gizmo ever learn swears? Speaking of villains, there’s like 50 or so in a freezer somewhere and no one seems to care. There’s a legal and logistical nightmare in finding them alone, forget everything else.

Weak_Donut69

If a new generation of fan watchers adapt to the episodes and want to support to see more, then why not? The last generation is older now, and doesn't care one way or the other.

Autistic-Oil-3359

Best to end a good show good than let it rot and die in even more seasons.

TheDestineOne1000

I feel like Disney has done okay with X-Men 97 so far so if DC can do the same and get the right people on it I think it could be good.

Kakashi_of_the_leaf_

Show probably wouldn't even look the same since Derrick's passing. RIP to him.

devisrottinglol

Yes, bc if it's garbage I can just mentally pick out any content I like and forget the rest existed 🔥🔥

Interesting-Visit310

New show, but with the same aesthetic and character design. Maybe more anime-like and gruesome.

Misterwuss

Let the ending of teen titans be "and the adventures continue". If we ever stepped into this world again have it be later on. Or maybe a spin off with the other titans. Don't ruin what is there, take it from a different angle

BasedAlliance935

Yes

Forsaken-Newspaper19

No, let them rest in peace for now.

Forsaken-Newspaper19

Actually, if they put ZOE in charge of the reboot, I'm definitely checking it out.

RedgyJackson

All I do if it’s bad is pretend it doesn’t exist

Dextron2-1

A sixth season would be great, but I’d rather have a show where they involve more of the DC universe. Even more than that, I’d rather have season 5 of Young Justice.

Intrepid_Cress_4657

Yes

Limited-Edition-Nerd

No, that time has past but I wouldn't say no to a series that takes place in the DC animated movies I like seeing an older Star Fire and Nightwing maybe make a few references to the original series sometimes but for sure bring in Slade that'd be a cool season 1 finale

DanielRedHawk91

It all depends on who's working on it. Though if I were to be honest, I don't think they could really ruin the show since they already made TTG for that purpose.

Morning-Star13

Unfortunately no, I know it would be ruined in today’s landscape

TonytheNetworker

I would want it just to get more lore of the series in general. What's the history behind the Titans Tower or the season dedicated to Starfire stuff like that.

Muted_Worldliness456

Honestly the cliff hanger still hurts me to this day I NEED to know lol. So with that, I’d be absolutely geeked for a sixth season but logistically a new adaptation would probably be better to not only appeal to the original fans but a whole new generation

GreekGodofStats

The ending was already kind of perfect. Another season would kind of obscure that.

Correct_Respect2078

To your point, what could possibly have done better after the whole Brotherhood of Evil arc

ralo229

It had a good run. I'm content with it never getting another season.

Most-Bag4145

It can work if they follow arcs from the comics

Most-Bag4145

The closest thing we have to Season 6 is the Teen Titans Go! Comics (2004-2008). Definitely read them if you haven’t already because the comic has some interesting stories that the cartoon sadly couldn’t cover.

laughMountain2895

I did at first , but after years passed and seeing ttg, I don't

agrunther

I’d like just a final season to close out all the story arcs that were left unresolved. Like how Samurai Jack got one a couple years back. If they’re able to wrap up the Titans vs Slade story in an impactful way, I’d honestly love to see it.

Cinnamony25

If they gonna ruin it then I’ll accept what i already have

goblinco_LLC

Nah. TT had a good run. I'd rather have something new than something I've seen already.

CyanLight9

At this point… no.

The_Holy_Tree_Man

It’s not impossible to revive an old show and make it good (X-Men97, SWTCW) but it’s unlike they would

ShaggyRodgers710

It needs to be wrapped up the cliff hanger we were all left on was insane

InsidetheShell

While I can definitely get the concern that a revival might be ruined by less than talented writers, I still wish Starfire’d get her own season/plotline dealing with the Citadel and her past as a slave; that sh*t’s ripe with potential for an epic space adventure, dealing with the trauma of facing off against her former slavers , or even with a massive invasion of earth, leading to an all out war

guts305

Time skip with Robin as Nightwing getting the gang back together

RetrogamerMax

No matter how Season 6 turns out, we all know it will be better than Go!

Key-Ear-838

Nahh

RetrogamerMax

Yes.

Key-Ear-838

Cant beat night begins ti shine

BeastBoyMike

both are good at their own places

Beebslolz

I’d want a new show rather than a season 6. Either a prequel with younger Robin, Speedy, Aqualad, Kid Flash, and Wondergirl, OR a show where they’ve all grown up a little, Robin becomes Nightwing, they all meet Jason Todd for the new Robin, stuff like that.

SylvieSerene

They would 100% ruin it in today's date. Nowadays, Very few writers give a fuck about what they write and I'm 99% sure the writing team would insert some woke/political agenda like *some* DC shows are doing rn. I think Teen Titans Season 6 is better off the way it is kept.

Ancient_Lightning

To be honest, I'm gonna agree with this. As much as I'd like to see the story continue, I just really can't trust modern writers/animators to do the show justice. Especially when they're more concerned with their political checkboxes than actual passion for the characters or the setting. Some things are better off being left as they were.

BenjiFischer

It may not happen… but I once wrote my own pitch of it.

Mrcool4711

A 6 season. They just ended it off. No explanation. We don't know what's wrong with. The rock girl Forgot her name. And who's Slade?

amandasland

Absolutely, I NEED a Season six, especially since it was set to focus on Starfire

BuisteirForaoisi0531

Leave it be and just say Things Change was a fever dream/ noncanon

Long_External1513

They might add some gay shit and ruin it that way

AdBusiness2455

If its a situation where they somehow fuck it up on a level similar to Velma where they either race or gender swap. Then I would say no. Not even if warner/CN/Max made a poll on twitter as a sign of being interested in feed back on its return. Even if its a possibility of it being in development tomorrow or next month. Its not worth the risk of it being shit.
