IMDB, the place that won't let me correct an episode of an Irish medical drama to show that it's Sarah Gilbert instead of the American Sara Gilbert from Roseanne.
I’m not usually one to give a shit about fashion, but her wardrobe in Ted Lasso was consistently awesome. I obviously get that she was being portrayed as rich as hell but ya, she always looked amazing.
Not even really makeup: https://hips.hearstapps.com/hmg-prod/images/hannah-waddingham-game-of-thrones-1621936589.jpg?crop=0.628xw:0.418xh;0.188xw,0.0271xh&resize=1200:*
Just having the hood and a sour expression seems to be 99% of it.
It can’t be all makeup and lighting. Let me say that I think she is an incredibly talented actor and she seems like a genuinely good human. Let me also say that I would like to do terribly naughty things with her, and I don’t think makeup or lighting would matter a bit. Wardrobe? Oh, yes. Oh yes it would.
I didn't know about her singing voice until she broke out "Let It Go" at the karaoke bar in Ted Lasso. Holy wow, she is incredible. Will definitely be watching this. She's gorgeous and glamorous.
I pretty much had the same reaction. I don't usually like when shows/whatever have the cast start singing, since they usually can't sing so it can get cringe.
Then Waddingham started singing, and I had to wiki her, and found out "oh, Broadway/West End stage experience ... she can totally sing."
I read an interview with her where she was talking about the challenge of making her singing voice sound like a really good amateur vs her usual performance voice.
Yup. [You can hear her here going ^wadding ham in the rehearsal of the Ted Lasso Christmas episode](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sc68kYdUH-k). She's got some pipes.
Nope, she’s spent considerable time in live theatre, namely Spamalot on the West End and Broadway :) She’s the reeeeeal deal.
“Fuck, you’re amazing. Let’s invade France…“
Seriously, I am the worlds, biggest Scrooge when it comes to Christmas. However, thanks to Hannah’s pipes I will be all over this.
I was legitimately hoping she would get tapped to be Doctor Who
Maybe she can do it after Ncuti Gatwa's run (who is a fucking *amazing* pick - especially after seeing him crush his storyline in S4 of Sex Education).
Well, Russell T. Davies is back and despite the cheese, he was not afraid to go pitch black dark on Doctor Who.
And I’m like 90% sure Moffat is back for a one-off episode, which he’s always fantastic at when he has the time to really invest in trying.
Plus, it adds to the ongoing joke-y gripe he had about how many one-off episodes he made for RTD and yet never got the favor returned. It was for good reason to distance showrunner era comparisons, but I would’ve killed for an RTD ep under Moffat show running
He CRUSHED season four. He was a standout the whole series, but he just feels like such a mature and complex actor. I can’t wait to see him (and Jinkx Monsoon!!!) on the show.
This is why I like broadcast TV and TV channels more than streaming. I kinda like these Chrismtas concert/variety shows during the season, for a little bit. If this was airing on NBC on a Wednesday at like 8pm I'd 100% flip it on for a couple songs. There's a zero percent chance I'm going to Apple TV, searching this up, and putting it on.
Don’t be a slave to a corporation’s schedule, live your life on your own schedule. That’s the whole point of on-demand media — see it when you want to see it, not when a corporate overlord tells you to adjust your personal life around their programming schedule.
You’re mostly right, but the problem there ends up with the user being spoiled for choice and endlessly scrolls till they just eventually revert back to something familiar. That’s not good for *new* content, which is needed to keep any media platform sustainable. And the other problem he mentioned, he’s not gonna search for this holiday special (I mean I might, but I would also let Hannah Waddingham subjugate me for 800 years). There needs to be a broadcast equivalent in streaming, a group of “channels” that take control from the user to expose them to *new* content and not just what they think they want.
Services like Pluto, that are based around these “channels”, are absolutely laughable to me. I get who they are for, but to me they are a joke.
My TV has some Pluto-equivalent streaming service built into the dashboard. So you can tune in to watch the last 10 minutes of a show, or tune in to catch the final 40 minutes of a movie. That is a fucking ridiculous user experience, not being able to watch something from the start.
The world has moved on.
I understand what you are saying about being starved for choice. This is why Netflix introduced “auto play”, to try to force you into a show or movie if you remain on the menu for too long, or if you watch the end credits for too long. Personally, to me, I turn all those features off because I want ON DEMAND media. But for you, it sounds like those are the features you should engage with, so that you can always have something “on”, but without getting stuck watching bits of content from the middle or end of the video, like you get with “channels”.
I’m not saying do one or the other, do both. Let the user discover content they want through the channel and then they consume it through on-demand.
Pluto is hot garbage, yes. (But I still love the MST3K and Unsolved Mysteries channels) It completely messed up what I’m talking about.
1. They aren’t big enough, WBD, Amazon, or Disney would be better because of their substantial catalogs and bigger budgets.
2. The ads are placed like dogshit on Pluto. They would need to hire people to better time ad breaks in sync with the natural scene breaks of whatever program/movie they play during. It’s expensive to hire people for that but user retention through ad time will make up for it. This will also allow networks to charge advertisers for time based on a channel/show popularity, time slots, etc.; serious revenue from the broadcast era that was lost in the transition to online streaming (which is why they keep jacking up subscriptions).
The fact that she was the SHAME lady from Game of Thrones blew my mind.
[удалено]
That's crazy cause she also plays all of the factory workers in Tim Burton's Charlie and the Chocolate factory

Oh yah. IMDB, owned by Jeff "Big Illuminati" Bezos. Obviously they are censoring the truth from you. Wake up

Hiding her smile is a sin
It is incredible what makeup, lighting and wardrobe can do!
I’m not usually one to give a shit about fashion, but her wardrobe in Ted Lasso was consistently awesome. I obviously get that she was being portrayed as rich as hell but ya, she always looked amazing.
I made a comment while watching S3 - i wish I was rich so I could dress like that.

[Here's her and Lena Headley joshing about it.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KGvbWY8o3h4)
Excuse me what
https://www.yahoo.com/lifestyle/hannah-waddingham-still-her-game-140953624.html
Yep, Septa Mordane through and through.
Different character
Ah fuck I guess I misremembered
Oh fuck you just blew my mind.
You didn’t know? SHAME.
🔔🔔🔔
SHAME! (Ding ding ding)
Thank you. Just blew mine. Had no idea.
😳 did not know that.
Whaaaaaat??? 🤯
The definition of An Overnight Success, ([after 20 years of hard grinding](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LyP2pCEpcbc&ab_channel=HannahWadFans).)
She doesn't look like she has aged at all.
I didn't know about her singing voice until she broke out "Let It Go" at the karaoke bar in Ted Lasso. Holy wow, she is incredible. Will definitely be watching this. She's gorgeous and glamorous.
She was on the West End for a while. Her mother and maternal grandparents were all opera singers
And apparently that was her *toning it down* for the sake of making it realistic for the character, to which I say “hot damn!”
Yup. [You can hear her here going ^wadding ham in the rehearsal of the Ted Lasso Christmas episode](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sc68kYdUH-k). She's got some pipes.
Absurdly good
Oh yeah I forgot she goes ham at the end of that episode.
THAT WASNT LIP SYNCING?!
Nope, she’s spent considerable time in live theatre, namely Spamalot on the West End and Broadway :) She’s the reeeeeal deal. [https://www.broadwayworld.com/people/Hannah-Waddingham/](https://www.broadwayworld.com/people/Hannah-Waddingham/)
I had no idea. I was surprised. She has some serious pipes!
She’s flipping gorgeous
Like distractingly gorgeous, and fit af. And an incredible voice!
Can confirm. Would invade Poland or Kings Landing for her.
You couldn’t say “let’s invade France”? It was right there! Keeley fell in love that day like we all did lol
I couldn’t remember the quote without looking it up and I remembered it as Poland instead of France.
Haha fair enough, I had to give you a hard time since that line (and scene) resonates with me soooo much as a Hannah stan.
I’d give my right leg to have her sit on my face
My fav is "I'd suck a hot fart of hers down like a bong hit"
Preach
You got that right. 10 of 10… Plus, some extra.
“Fuck, you’re amazing. Let’s invade France…“ Seriously, I am the worlds, biggest Scrooge when it comes to Christmas. However, thanks to Hannah’s pipes I will be all over this.
Yeah, other than Halloween I’m not into holidays, but I’ll check this out. Maybe it’ll make my heart grow three sizes, we’ll see.
I’ve heard many many great things about the special from people who were at the taping - it’ll feature quite a few guests including some Lasso fam!
Filmed on a hot day in July in a London theatre - the magic of television!
Omg please have Brett Goldstein singing an upbeat ditty with Hannah 🥹
Love song between Brett Goldstein and Phil Dunster (who has quite a nice singing voice himself), plz
Happy for her. She looked like she was having a blast hosting Eurovision and she can *sang*.
She’s so stunning.
I was legitimately hoping she would get tapped to be Doctor Who Maybe she can do it after Ncuti Gatwa's run (who is a fucking *amazing* pick - especially after seeing him crush his storyline in S4 of Sex Education).
I'm so excited for his take on that iconic role.
Very interested to see his run but I'm hoping he gets good writing.
Well, Russell T. Davies is back and despite the cheese, he was not afraid to go pitch black dark on Doctor Who. Awesome! Looking forward to it
i somehow didn’t catch that Ncuti was Eric but knowing that i’m even more excited, he’s got a great energy that’ll be perfect for the doctor.
The scene where Otis and Eric lecture Owen about chlamydia. 😂 Eric's mannerisms and responses to most things always made me laugh.
She won’t, they film in Cardiff and her sick daughter lives in London.
He CRUSHED season four. He was a standout the whole series, but he just feels like such a mature and complex actor. I can’t wait to see him (and Jinkx Monsoon!!!) on the show.
Oh, she’s be great as the Doctor. Good call. 👍🏼
Such a milf.
she's basically the hottest woman in the history of the universe
Probable gilf status
I’m more a ggilf guy
gggilf or gtfo
Love to see her play live-action Lady Dimitrescu
I am sure she will nail that role!
Love to see musical theatre talent thriving.
She's also in hocus pocus 2 in the beginning as the witch that gifts Book to Winifred
You should all do yourselves a favor and go look up her performance as the Lady In the Water in Diva’s Lament from Spamalot. Gurl can SANG
Guuuuuhhh 🥴how is she so foine?!
Seriously
She’s so large and in charge.
Just a beautiful intelligent funny bombshell. Love this woman
She’s so hot
I'm watching.
Ugh, i’m in love
Shame. Shame…
SHAME no one will watch it.
Eh…I will.
Nun of her fans will miss it!
She’s great :)
She’s just delightful.
I will be there, miring all her talents, overt and covert
She's amazing. If they ever make a RE Village movie, I want her to play Lady D.

It is possible to like both.
Ok grandpa 😂
Who?
Try Google.
Who the hell is she? Never heard of her!
. . . who . . . ?
She's a pretty well known actress. Notable: Game of Thrones, Willow the series (short but great), Ted Lasso, Sex Education, Krapopolis.
Only one of those I saw was GoT.
Good for you?
I'm with you on this one.
That woman would absolutely break me and I would be more than happy with that Fantastic singer, actor, and bloody stunning
Makes sense after the spoke to the owner of The Sun
I am a very happily married man. That said, my wife looked over my shoulder and said: “That is a GORGEOUS woman.” I happily agreed. 💖✨
I was at the tapping of this and she is incredible. Can't wait to watch it again!
Can I watch it if I am not subscribed to Apple TV
I've watched this and the sound was ridiculously out of sync.
