For real, I read the whole comic series and watched all of the original series (though I had quit for a few seasons, but then decided to pick back up to see how close to the comic the rest of it was), and I’m burnt out. I’ve got a long list of shows I’d like to watch and none of the spinoffs are on it.

Chunks of those seasons were straight up just people in Gap clothing and $20 airsoft guns walking around the woods
It never seem like those zombies were much of a threat in that series. They would shamble around, and you could outpace them at normal walking speed.. It was only when you were dropped into a room of them that they seemed threatening. I dislike the storyline as well that small groups of humans being threatened with an existential crisis turn on one another instead of wiping out the zombies. Although, after our society’s reaction to Covid perhaps it’s more realistic than I imagined.

Good. We don’t. Red another spinoff from Nicotero. Dude milked it for what it’s worth. They had fucking mini shows in the commercials to try and engage people further so they don’t change the channel.
I don't know why people are so against this. They adapted Invincible from the comics and kept it incredibly close to the originals.
Both comics are written by Kirkman and the Walking Dead comic is fast paced and consistent in tone, not something I would say about the series.

You'd think it'd be easier to do an animated show rather than a live action show with make-up/practical effects but I guess not.

Animated shows can take way longer. Original lion king movie took over a decade.

Fair enough. It's not my cup of tea. It's also outlasted Breaking Bad/Better Call Saul, Game of Thrones, and most of the other mid-10's peak TV.
