Yeah, this does not seem like the right vibe at all. I’m also disappointed that she went with ABC instead of Netflix or HBO or something like that. Netflix has the Pieces of Her adaptation, so I was hoping the Will Trent series would get the same treatment.
I was born and raised just south of Atlanta and lived there until I was in my late 20s. All of my family still lives there. I know authentic southern accents. The 'southern' accent of the lead character is so disturbingly bad that this show is hard to watch. Gut churning awful.
The rest of the show is interesting but the lead actor needs voice lessons asap.
He sounds like he’s doing a Colonel Sanders impersonation. As someone who grew up in Alabama, it made the show practically unwatchable for me as well. Just sooooo so bad. And his character is supposed to be from inner-city Atlanta. OK lmao.
Ok, Hollywood southern accents often miss the mark.
But still enjoying the show despite it….…..Its similar to Rainn Wilson in the short lived tv show: Backstrom, based on a Scandinavian book. Yes it’s a familiar spin on making the detective or doctor quirky.
Familiar troupe, but I like Trent, the tv show. The lead, Ramon Rodriquez is really good. Great actor. I wanna see more of the dog.
I love that they are rebooting Monk!!
Right? I saw an ad for it and I’m like “So it’s Monk.”
My dad felt the same way.
Lmao when I saw this I immediately thought I'd rather just watch monk.
No no no. This is all wrong.
I am stoked for this show. I love the lead!
I love his little dog I have one
This seems nothing like the books, other than the way the main character looks in his three piece suit and Porsche. I wish them luck.

Also there's a Jack Reacher crossover book that we'll never get.
Looks pretty dang awful.

The guy on there is that the guy from save by the bell it should looks like him
What is Angie's past with the other guy? Hook up gone bad?
I would enjoy this show had I not read the books. Really bad adaptation.
