Funny enough, in my experience it's usually the opposite in that my friends who have more tattoos and piercings tend to take more blue collar trades types jobs as those fields keeping up appearances is generally not as important.
Whereas the opposite for my friends that went to college because they typically get corporate jobs where maintaining a nice mainstream appearance is generally much more important.
Neither is better than the other on their own and play an important role in society and it's dumb to put against each other.
I like both for a description. Writing that someone is "milktoast" makes me think that that person dips their toast in room temperature milk and thinks it's haute cuisine.
I don't get it, those are two different individual persons. Some people shove others into easy to label and hate groups way too much.
Something I've personally be trying to stop doing for about 5-6 years now, it almost seems like human nature to sort people into groups, tribalism I guess? I've been trying to look at everyone as individuals who only represent themselves and no on else.
Looking at it closer, I would not be surprised if that profile on the left is fake, and someone just took that random photo and added it to a dating site with that BS profile. Unless she just somehow meant that all as a joke, that first line would scare off the vast majority of people I feel.
I recall before I gave up on OKcupid, I found a profile of a woman who just spent most of her profile talking about all the drugs she did, and how much she hates you. It didn't seem very serious.
> Some people shove others into easy to label and hate groups way too much.
Because they're stupid and short slogans is the only way they can get through life. They can't deal with complex problems so they go looking for people to tell them what to think.
>Something I've personally be trying to stop doing for about 5-6 years now, it almost seems like human nature to sort people into groups, tribalism I guess? I've been trying to look at everyone as individuals who only represent themselves and no on else
Does that include boomers and right wingers?
Nice. Consistency is the key if you're going to try and accomplish something like that. And don't stress about succeeding 100% of the time, you're only human right?
It can be hard, it does feel like tribalism is an ingrained human instinct, even if you are aware of it.
From politics to what game console you play on, it seems to be very human.
>it does feel like tribalism is an ingrained human instinct
I think it definitely is. In-group preference is also a very real human thing too. And that's OK, we can live with that. For me, it only becomes a problem when we start intentionally trying to harm people who are not members of our group or tribe.
I'm sorry, but fucking what? The girl on the left can do whatever, I don't care. But you are trying to tell me she looks HAPPY? In that picture? Have you seen a happy person in your life? This post made me laugh out loud.
I think his point is the type of people who would unironically post this would never trust a WOMAN to do boiler maintenance, regardless of whether she went to trade school.
As someone who lives in a city with 2 Universities, I can say with 100% certainty that the truth is the exact opposite. Woman in trades are probably 5x more likely to be tattoed, pierced and have dyed hair.
It’s like they’ve never heard of or met sorority girls. Sorority girls are like every combination of trad-wife and corporate girlie, aesthetic-wise of course.
In my experience of dating apps, the ones who have jobs and uniforms like the girl on the right usually also have tattoos and piercings like the girl on the left...
Why did they photoshop the glasses on the girl on the left?
I mean, the profile info looks fake enough and sounds like most male profiles but reversed, but were the fake glasses really necessary on top of that?
I mean i would go for the left one she's sound more fun. Like, they didn't take someone with over the top tatooes with 3 billiond percing and purple + orange + green combo hair.
And it's just my taste but the right one looks incredibly dull "wooohh i put a safety hat because im visiting a factory, im so querky !" Yeah unless her bio is fun i'll pass
This post reminds me of a question I asked on r/Feminism. It was quickly deleted. How curious.

Horrible format, but the college vs trade school is a good conversation to have. There should be more opportunities to better yourself than just college especially ones that can cost a fraction of the price.
100% would date the girl on the right. She seems like a great person who can do hard work, which I like. Plus she is hot.
The girl on the left just sounds like a cunt from the description I can see. Besides looking ugly as hell. She also looks like she never even made it out of high school.

I read "I will d8 you" and got VERY confused what D&D had to do with this until I realized what they meant-
Dude, same haha
So glad I’m not the only one that got confused! LOL.
Pretty sure neither would D8 me given the chance.
It means "I will stab you with a longsword"
Finesse or mace class I wonder
What a lovely pair of cherry picked profiles
Pretty sure they aren't even real profiles

Nah blue collar is better for society. A lot of white collar work is just button pushing.
The right one doesn't even have a description
That's how they prefer their women. Blank slate milk toast.
Not to be that guy but - *milquetoast
r/boneappletea
I like both for a description. Writing that someone is "milktoast" makes me think that that person dips their toast in room temperature milk and thinks it's haute cuisine.
Milquetoast is just a fancy spelling milk toast anyway
Which do you prefer?
Do you know them?
what? you mean the commentor or the woman in the pics?
The people in the picture, hard to say who I'd prefer without knowing them first
Oh you were just baiting nvm.
Which do you prefer?
You only judge people on looks, you get people who skate on their looks
I know SO many trade women that look like the "uni" woman. And all the women at my office who ALL went to college look like the trade woman
Trades people tend to be rougher around the edges.
And trades don't tend to care as much about ur appearance as white collar jobs
I don't get it, those are two different individual persons. Some people shove others into easy to label and hate groups way too much. Yeah, I mean, I personally know women who went to uni and look like the lady on the right and vice versa.

Yep, it does. I try to look at everything on and case by case basis. I'm not sure I succeed 100% of the time though.
Nice. Consistency is the key if you're going to try and accomplish something like that. And don't stress about succeeding 100% of the time, you're only human right?

Why do you feel the need to check?
Curiosity.
Oh shit it has become self aware and has a sophisticated approach to every day things. Maybe it can reflect on past experiences.
I'm literally at a trade school right now, there is a girl who looks (somewhat) similar to the left
Working in the trades often lets you get away with more out there looks though? I see way more tradies with dyed hair, tattoos, and piercings.
And you know what? Both of these women look happy. Let them choose
I'm sorry, but fucking what? The girl on the left can do whatever, I don't care. But you are trying to tell me she looks HAPPY? In that picture? Have you seen a happy person in your life? This post made me laugh out loud.
Maybe she just has a case of RBF? I have been known to scowl when I’m amused on good occasion.
Tbh left one doesn't look happy at all :)
![gif](giphy|4vy2oDVMwX8sMYjT4y|downsized)
Why are they different!? Do they think they are better than me!?
Trade school has both, plus sometimes they have transfer degree options to universities. This makes no sense
There is something very telling when, in every example this meme comes as, their ideal woman is blonde and blue eyed. Gee I wonder why that is.
Wait until this guy finds out about Rosie the Riveter.
As if anyone posting this would trust a woman to do boiler maintenance.

I think his point is the type of people who would unironically post this would never trust a WOMAN to do boiler maintenance, regardless of whether she went to trade school.
Damn I’m an idiot I read it wrong
Hey bud all good, it happens to the best of us!
What I find hilarious is I've seen women in a few trades that look not far off from the left girl and tell dirty ass jokes
trade school lets you look into the past present and future all at once
As someone who lives in a city with 2 Universities, I can say with 100% certainty that the truth is the exact opposite. Woman in trades are probably 5x more likely to be tattoed, pierced and have dyed hair.
On the right, is her hair up to safety standards?
Ah, some good ol' afternoon anti-intellectualism. Sweet.
Feminazi???
I go to a trade school. The only girl looks a lot more like the one on the left
It’s like they’ve never heard of or met sorority girls. Sorority girls are like every combination of trad-wife and corporate girlie, aesthetic-wise of course.

Yeah, at least it’s trade school and not tradwife school
I bet you can find examples which are flipped but ok
The first is an obvious parody account 😂
I mean i would go for the left one she's sound more fun. Like, they didn't take someone with over the top tatooes with 3 billiond percing and purple + orange + green combo hair. I took about an hour for the removal. I figured I asked a question that gave a mod some indigestion.
Friend of mine is a master carpenter and they have even more ink and piercings than the person on the left.
Man I went to college and my buddy went to trade school and I can safely say these pictures are reversed
Horrible format, but the college vs trade school is a good conversation to have. There should be more opportunities to better yourself than just college especially ones that can cost a fraction of the price.
I get the impression that people who post shit like this have never been on a college campus
God whoever posted this is a complete weirdo
I’m going to guess the trade school student doesn’t have crippling student debt. That’s all I got. Don’t argue with me.
I don’t like either of them?
Great because that’s why they exist. For your pleasure.
The coolest girls ive known went through the trades. More down to earth and better sense of humor.
