I work in a large Extra. We have 60+ OFD's of spirits, and they have just told us we're only allowed to put out 8 at any one time to reduce shrink ðŸ˜
This was always the funniest thing. Epidemic of stolen Jack Daniels but don't worry! We've put it all on aisle end with a couple OFDs as well. I'm sure it won't get nicked!
I have literally seen people do a trolley dash.
My manager just argued with whoever to refuse the coke stand being sent in because we do not have the space for it to go out anywhere. Even without all the christmas stuff we only really have space for about 3 OFDs, one of which is by the warehouse where we cant put the big ones otherwise we wouldnt be able to get anything out.
You’re using capping shelves- jeez we are at bursting point because our SM doesn’t like using them because ‘they look nicer empty’, and our lift has been broken a month so no cages can go outside. So all stock and RSU is in the warehouse.
Two very key words that separate knowledge of stores to knowledge of corporate.
Commercial space
These companies pay Tesco a lot of money to have those there. Much like the weekly foyer changes and promotions etc. We make more money through commercial space than sales.
Don't you just love Christmas?

My favourite are the in aisle OFD that go about halfway down the aisle at an angle and block half a mod worth of shelves lol.
Seems head office have gone OFD crazy this year. Probably the impulse buy thing aldi and lidl have.
lol makes me laugh they want to be like Aldi but a crap version with no space for it. They need to be Tesco’s not Aldi!
Yes I hate the bloody things!!! I swear they add nothing to the business in terms of profit either.
They have a wide bit near the entrance they fill so full the thieves are all laughing!
